Very happy online buyer
Not only was peters cheaper than other places, they had a massive range and postage was only $11 for 2 huge boxes. I bought a range of things but the best was the Gordon Ramsay royal doulton dinner sets. They were $25 cheaper a set at peters than the shops.

excellent range of products / excellent prices
This is my go to store for anything kitchenware and gifts for family / friends. I have purchased from this store for a number of years and am a regular customer. Peters of Kensington is very reliable, they pack the items extremely well and always have superb prices when things go on special (almost always!). I feel compelled to write this review in hope that the store will read these comments and do something about the delivery service in general. My latest delivery was only a few days surprisingly, however, overall and over the years, for the delivery times from Sydney to Melbourne something needs to be done about the time it gets to its destination - almost 2 weeks; this is quite a long time in comparison to other e-stores.

Overall experience has been good
I have purchased assorted goods from POK for nearly 3 years and my experience has varied. The packaging is always very good - any problems have been with the item itself, not damage caused in transit. Their prices have always been appealing- when you compare to retail costs,POK prices are always competitive even taking into account delivery costs. I have found ordered items to arrive promptly. So overall I would say give them a go. Protect yourself by using the Paypal 'pay after delivery' option. Disappointing and inconvenient transaction
Purchased this (expensive) Le Creuset Kettle online at Peter's Of Kensington (POK) Online store for my partner. I found it very odd when trying to pay via Paypal the site went to Paypal then back to POK site then had to finalise the sale. Have not encountered this system before. (I should have cancelled it then!). Kettle was delivered speedily, but upon opening the item found 2 large blackened burn marks in the enamel on the outside of the Kettle at the base of the handle. I took photos and emailed POK. They got back to me promptly via email advising me that a manager would have to be contacted in regard to my complaint. Received another email stating that the manager stated that it was not burn marks but that the enamel has come off during transit. It was burnt!! Pity I can't upload the photos for you all to see. I have sent the item back back and asked for a full refund, I'll see how I go. Also contacted Le Creuset via phone and asked for their contact email. The french lady on the phone asked me what I wanted this information for, so I told her about the condition their product (the kettle) was sent to me was in and I was going to send them the pictures. She said it was not Le Creuset's problem it was POK. I told her I understood this, but didn't they want to know about the business practises of POK and at the end of the day it was a burnt kettle with their name plastered on the side of the kettle. Le Creuset was not interested.Oh and by the way Le Creuset advertises themselves as a quality French product, when I received the burnt kettle I checked the bottom of the Kettle it read: Made In Thailand! Peter's Of Kensington had very fast delivery and fast reply via email to my complaint. Kettle has large burn marks in the enamel at the base of the handles.Similar opinion? Impressed
First time I've purchased from Peter's of Kensington and I cannot fault them. Found plenty of information (more than any other website including the manufacturers website) on the product I purchased. Ease of payment through paypal was top notch. I received my order within 4 business days which is better than most!

They need to clean up their act!
The only consistency with their despatch and delivery times appears to be how very slow they are and how inaccurate the Australia Post tracking system is. I checked this tracking system recently for a package due to arrive from them. Australia Post showed my package still in Sydney but amazingly less than three hours later it arrived at my home!!

I have experienced stock unavailability a couple of times and they have never notified me once and I only found out there was a problem with a couple of orders when they were very delayed being despatched from their warehouse. I duly rang Peters of Kensington and sat on hold for several minutes on STD rates. No "1300" numbers available to contact them on. The operator I spoke to was complacent and more than a little indifferent. She put me on hold to check into the situation and after a sustained delay advised me that one item in an order of several different items was out of stock. Understandably I was angry at their miserable service level and very poor treatment of customers. They have had plenty of money out of me through the years but this is now at an end. POK is not the only company in this line of business and there are others out there doing a much better job. Its high time they ramped up the service level. Great prices and a reasonable range. This is my first time buying a product from Peter's of Kengsinton, I am amazed of how well the packaging is. The product is a high quality one which explain of why it was not at the cheapest price i could find from online stores. the shipping is very fast. Love it! Love it!

Exellent Service!
I purchased a Stanley Rogers Cutlery Set from Peter's of Kensington on Friday the 24th January in the afternoon. I received an email informing that it had already been shipped out on Saturday the 25th and even though we have a long weekend holiday because of Australia Day, I received the order this morning on Wednesday 29th.

One of my favourite online shopping sites
I've ordered a variety of things from Peters of Kensington over the last few years, from books to luggage, linen and expensive kitchen appliances, and I've never had any problems with their ordering system or receiving the goods. When I've needed something in a hurry and have called them, they've always been honest and helpful about their delivery times. It's great that they have a responsive telephone service.
Huge range at competitive prices, very reliable.
Can't use their vouchers for online shopping.

Watch the fine print!
Oh dear. I went online on Monday morning to buy a present for my daughter on Thursday. Worked on the basis of pack on Tuesday and overnight delivery 10km across Sydney should see it on Wed. Thurs still hadn't arrived. Sent an email to customer service which autoresponded with "We'll get back to you in 48 hours". Called the shop. Was advised they allow 2-5 days for DISPATCH. I asked where that was written and was advised "In the fine print." I work long hours and buy nearly everything online. No other retailer allows 5 days for dispatch...Read more

I am a full time student living rurally this year. My only problem so far with POK is that I buy too much (way too much) of their stuff. I have never had any issues, that is the truth. I am sure things can go wrong and that I am probably very lucky. As usual I recommend you shop around, if you want a specific product don't assume POK is the cheapest going (it isn't always), and depending on what you're buying...and where you are the shipping can feel a big pricey (never shipping to WA address again).

Very disappointed buyer
Ordered a packsafe anti- theft hand bag online there was no choice of colour only walnut which showed an apricot stripe through the handle and on the name tag on the front of the bag . The bag was $85.00 plus $14.00 postage amounting to $99.00. This was fine and would go with my shoes. When the bag arrived it was not the same bag shown in the picture. Great Every Time
I have bought items from Peters of Kensington numerous times, including sending gifts to friends. The delivery is always speedy and goods have always arrived in good order. Customer service is excellent. Pricing is very competitive and postage is very reasonable.I am really enjoying their new "Deal of the Day" and recently picked up some glasses which were amazingly cheap and great quality. David Jones/Myer (can't remember which one) expected me to take a printed out list and wander all over the shop checking item numbers to find something. Got sick of that, went to the Peters of Kensington website and found a lovely item cheaper and had it shipped directly to them. I accidentlyly put the wrong delivery address in, and I contacted customer service, and they got straight back by email to let me know that the issue has been fixed. Reliable and honest company
I am an avid online shopper and I purchase items from local and overseas merchants. I find PK's product range and prices to be the most competitive especially home/kitchen stuff. They carry most high end international quality brands as well. r $237! I got mine from PK for $87! I like the fact that PK puts the RRP and their sale price, and they are honest about their pricing. No [censored word removed] like other merchants. You gotta be quick though as they sell out so quickly. In store, the staff are nice and knowledgeable. The trick with parking is, park across the road, in the residential area around the corner from the petrol station. For me, online shopping suits me best. I have my credit card and measuring tape next to me. Best advice, research the brands and their products. Fantastic experience.
I recently made my first online purchase from Peter's; a salt ball, pepper ball, designer mug and wine decanter. All the products were at exceptional prices and more than made up for the P&H. Easy online transaction. Delivery from Sydney to regional QLD in four days! Very safe packaging too. Will absolutlely be using them again.

Great product range but poor delivery service
I have spent many thousands of dollars at P of K over the past 7 years. I find them competitive with pricing and their product range is pretty good. My only criticism is delivery takes too long. I have waited up to two weeks for a delivery and I live 45 drive away from the store..

All arrived very quickly.
Re the water clock, i have never seen a small plastic item so well packaged. before. In a box 10 times its size filled with plastic protective packaging.

Some cheap items, terrible delivery system
Placed order Tuesday early am for over $400 with all items listed as "in stock". Received call Wednesday afternoon to confirm delivery address as according to them, changing our address since last order could be a sign of dodgyness.... Assumed they would be dispatched that day.
