Disgusting behaviour from manager
I purchased several candles.
I needed to return a scented candle that did not scent my room when burning.
I had spoken at great length with the shop assistant stating my requirements.
When I returned to the store I was treated with contempt and aggression.
I was accused of being a liar by the dispicably rude and store manager who repeatedly told me that he didn't believe me!!!
What an disgrace of a person who has no business dealing with customers.
I will not return here - outrageous and utterly offensive behaviour.

Good customer service. Products arrived in good shape BUT
The products have always arrived in good shape. I have had no issues with the customer service. Have purchased some great specials. Was disappointed by the boxing day sales...little that was really significantly reduced. Christmas decorations full price etc ...Also it seams that in the past few years there is less on offer...sales not as good...stuff being advertised in the clearance section that has been there for a couple of years at least!

No customer service
Today I made a special trip to Peter's of Kensington at Birkenhead Point.
I purchase several items with the intention of coming back later to buy some candles for gifts.
I changed my mind after being serve by the gentlemen at the register no hello, no eye contact, no please or thank you. The last contact customers have with your store is generally the person at the register and what is remembered.

Lalay Beach Towels are not towels at all, they are thin very fabric, and should have been described
I received an email advertising Lalay Beach Towels. The item was was described as a towel, when in fact it is very thin fabric like a tea-towel. Not in any way is it a soft and fluffy "beach towel" suitable for drying ones self on the beach. I feel taken advantage of, and embarrassed because I told friends to check them out that day.

Great service
I shopped online and the goods arrived super fast with tracking noted from packing to dispatch to delivery. The items were exceptionally well packed with no chance of breakages or damage. Great prices and great service.

Poor warranty support
Bought an expensive Dualit Toaster, placed it beside the kettle where our old Rowlett toaster of 15 years lived & 2 weeks later noticed spots on the paint. Contacted the agent & POK & were told we must of sprayed cleaning product on it (surprise.. it's in the kitchen).. The agent made the problem worse by smudging the spots in an effort to clean it... The agent was making jokes about the toaster that has measles & they don't get chicken pox etc. So in the end nothing POK or agent (JR Classic Trend) are prepared to do for us other than tell us it must of been our fault) .. Really poor effort & would of expected better..

Very poor after sales service when wrong item sent
I knew what was required and had bought these items before. Instead of 1 robe and blanket as ordered, 2 robes were sent. When I requested that the blanket be sent as ordered and paid for, they demanded that the robe sent in error be returned FIRST. This required the recipient of a gift to pack it up and send back the item being left with half the gift. rther wait, I asked the recipient to use the return label that was sent as an attachment by Peters of Kensington. I have previously spent a great deal of money at this store and they know I am not a fraudster, yet they chose to put me through the hoops. Horrible customer service
I have been a regular customer with this online website for years now. Things sure become difficult when you need to return a problem product. They transfer me to different customer service team 3 times and the second lady who spoke to me was very rude she didn’t even let me know she was transferring me to another person to speak to! And the third person I spoke to ask me to write email to them describe the problems And the return cost is all on me?! I surely was not happy and Ian never going to purchase from them again!

Exceptional Products and Service
I recently purchased double sided bamboo chopping board. Love it, it's perfect. I use the bamboo side for bread, cheese etc and the plastic for meat. Quick postage, Great Product, Great Price

Poor service
Recently bought on two separate occasions a socalled blue bowl which was cream and then some coupe plates which were green but looked cream online...very poor..did receive refunds after returning them..after the usual nonsense with photos and emails. Also had placed in my wishlist to buy a knife, then transferred it to my basket when I could afford to buy it and when I went back they had increased the price by $30...very poor..and now I get this thing flashing up at me in product review and on my home page ninemsn, tried to block but there was nowhere for me to do that...……..

Excellent online service!
I always assumed that Peter's of Kensington would be expensive, but their prices are actually *very* competitive. I just purchased a Cornishware canister for only $65 ($89 at another online retailer), and a Spode "Blue Italian" storage jar for only $30 (RRP $116).
I placed my order on Thursday, received a dispatch confirmation on Friday, and my order was delivered interstate today (Monday). It was carefully packed with lots of protective packaging. Their website is very clearly set out, so it was easy to find what I was looking for. Online ordering was quick and easy.
I would strongly recommend PoK for range, price and service.

First Class Service
The product I ordered arrived Tuesday 1:30 pm, placed order on Sunday night. Delivered by Australia Post Courier, when two groups work together quickly and efficiently it is called "service" now have two online stores that can do it in Australia.

Good prices on some products
I bought a few items from PoK and they have good prices on Simple Human products and some others. I chose to order online and collect from Birkenhead store to save on shipping. Just not happy with their "non refund" policy unless I return the items on the spot ie. when collecting. Also some items were not presented as specified on the website when I collected them, for eg Tablekraft spoon set was in a plain box, not "presented as a set of 12 in a Tablekraft gift box.". And some staff are not friendly, not smile or even say thanks!

Fantastic online shopping experience
Purchased a number of items from their online store on Sunday and parcel arrived at my interstate address today (Tuesday). I paid an extra $5 for fast delivery, which was well worth it. The products were lovely and very well packed for transit. The prices were excellent as was the communication from PoK. So impressed, I’ve just placed another online order and will continue shopping with them.

Sadly dropped a few notches!
My very last order and experience last week was nothing short of shameful. Items were damaged. Very poorly packed. Was supposed to be a gift. Prior to this last order I was extremely pleased. They've unfortunately lost star ratings and cannot see myself shopping with them again! Sadly!! The other thing too was that they don't price match with stores that sell the same product for less, when most stores will do this. Peter's prices aren't always the best you can find.

justice! As a now loyal customer and purchaser of many orders over the last 6 or so months I will say that they have never disappointed. Their website is fantastic and extremely easy to browse through. Their search function performs extremely well. Their product descriptions and photos are true and exact. Their check out process easy and streamlined. Once you've paid for the item, you are continuously updated with tracking numbers and progress of shipment. They also ship very quickly so you generally receive your items within a couple of days from having placed the order. Then, parcel arrives and you will find that the packaging is both professional in appearance, strong, secure, and your items arrive surrounded by so much protection, nothing moves or is loose within the box or parcel. It's excessive but these days extremely necessary as I know first hand how items are treated in transit! It's always exciting expecting a order from Peter's of Kensington. The actual item received is normally always better than imagined .... which is a vast contrast to most online shopping websites whom make their products appear better than they really are. I have been an online shopper for over 10 years and due to time constraints, where I can, it's my preferred way to shop. I have to say that Peter's of Kensington are by far the best shopping experience I have had to date. So many companies today would do well to take a leaf out of this companies book. Fast shipping, perfect gift!!
I was looking online for the perfect keepsake gift. Peter's of Kensington has exactly what l was looking for at a fabulous price ( inc shipping)!! The purchase was straightforward and easy. I received notification of packing then shipping very quickly. A couple of days after paying for it, it was delivered, signature required, at my door!! The fragile item was very well packed and is perfect!!! I will definitely shop at Peter's of Kensington again!! :)

Huge range, good customer service
Made several orders from PK's this year. Products always arrive on time and undamaged. One of the items I ordered was a bit outside their usual range but they were willing to put in a special order for me and also sell the item at a discount price, which was great of them. I have found their returns policy to be good and their staff members extremely happy to answer questions and to look up answers if I ask something they don't know. ir prices usually aren't as good as Kitchen Warehouse or some other stores. However, I assume that is at least partly because they are based in Sydney where the housing bubble is at its worst. Shabby returns system and accusatory store manager
Purchased a frypan recommended by Choice; purchased online as I live in country Australia; the pan arrived but the size description related to the rim not the frying area so I contacted Peter's Of Kensington regarding returning it; I had a choice of post or personal return;
we had a family trip planned in the near future so when we made the 4 hour drive to Sydney we went to the store to return the frypan.

nd after opening the box, noticed the base was 23 cm, and the measurement of 30 cm referred to the rim, so I put it right back in the box. The scratches turned out to be on the bottom.... I didn't even look at the bottom... I don't fry on the underside of a frypan! The upsetting part was the manager saying he did not believe that it would have been sent to me in that condition.... I am still deeply upset at that implication and $126 is a lot of money for me and they won't take it back and I don't wan't it as it's the wrong size. His solution is to contact the manufacturer and check if they would accept it back in that condition. The idea was that only if Peter's Of Kensington received a replacement pan would he consider refunding me my money. So now we have to wait for 2 weeks to hear a verdict from the factory and possibly end up with a frypan I have no use for..... I just want to cry I am so upset. The manager also said that the previous week someone came with the same problem! as the store couldn't have done the scratches, therefore it might be a manufacturing problem! what???? Horrible horrible experience and the last time I will purchase from Peter's Of Kensignton! and certainly will advise my friends NOT to buy from them!Similar opinion?
