Disorganised or deceiving?
Took my 2014 Santa Fe to the Croydon dealership service department after the transmission went into limp home mode on a Monday morning. After the person was on the computer checking the VIN details of the vehicle for about twenty-five minutes, I was told they could get to it the next Monday so I left it there for the week. In order to get around, I rent a car across the road as they have none available. locked into renting a car for a week, informing me it was six weeks to look at it and the $800 charge which I wasn't aware of at the time which resulted in my car sitting there for the week. I'm very sure this information was readily available at the time I was waiting around the dealership. The car will not require diagnostics, it is being looked at elsewhere.Similar opinion? Not a pleasant experience at all.
So we went into the Lidcombe showroom to buy a car, upon being assisted by the consultant we decided on a car that was priced at $16,990 and agreed to a price of $15,500. We said yes gave our details for the finance approvals and went home happy. Up until this point everyone in the office were professional, polite and assisted us well.

Staff needs to know product knowledge.
The staff is Rude and it seems to me unprofessional. I visited to have a service my Hyundai Santa fe 2011 and they could not found my cars's model number, even thought i have all the paperwork.
It is a shame. It also unable to advice, when and after how many km i need to change Transmissions oil.
My first time it is a terrible experience.
If your intention to visit, i jest suggest Think Twice before you visit; to save time and money.

Hard working sales team
Dave Luitai was terrific. I purchased our car sight unseen as we live 5 hours from Sydney. Dave worked hard, provided videos, stayed in touch and even chased down an extra set of keys for us.

Run far far away. They don’t accept warranty claims
I went in to get my car checked for issues and they advised me that I had to pay $160 for them to check it. I’ve never heard of this before as my car is still under warranty. There a bunch of crooks. Do not buy cars from Phil Gilbert Croydon. They rip your hard earned dollars and give you a slap in the face when you need something fixed. Very rude staff. Run far far away and never look back.

Completely got robbed..buy two toyota camrey 16..[name removed] was salesperson. They promised on delivery time we will serviced the cars and all dent be removed. .when we get cars and go to our mechanic he showed us dirty filter. they didn't even change the oil..so untrustworthy. .poor customer service ever seen..

Will only buy your car back if they can rip you off
I bought a car from them for $23,000 i had visited many second had car shops to sell only 3 years later and the general consensus was $12,000-$13,000. Phil Gilbert (after some fake chat and insisting he didn't want to "insult me") offered me $8,000. He said he would price it at 14,000-15,000 max (however I had seen a car older than mine price at $18,000 in the showroom!) Sounds like they just wait for someone unprepared to come in before taking there car at a ridiculous rate. Pretty poor.

Servicing - Charges are high but service in return is poor
I am a regular customer with my present corrolla and all my previous carolla cars serviced with PG. Now my car was serviced 3 months back and had an issue on the weekend and the NRMA guy said something was not done properly at the last service. When I called the PG Service on 26th Feb the guy first want to distance saying it was done 3 months back and then talks about paying for the visit. Absolutely disappointed by the behaviour and tone of the person on the line and will not visit PG again and will not recommend.

Do NOT buy a car from these people
Such an unethical and dishonest company. Bought a car from them and within 6 weeks it has been in the service centre 5 times, not that they can find an issue with it, yet the engine light constantly comes on. Not the kind of situation you would expect to be in after paying over 40k for a brand new car. They have told me lie after lie and promised me a solution, to tell me they can't do anything but constantly repair it even if it's in there centre every week.
