pretty good overall
I purchased a Phil & Teds Sport when my 1st child was born as it was one of the only prams with a second toddler seat available at that time.
Sturdy, tuff, reliable, quick fold up and very easy to maneuver. Fantastic single pram!
The second toddler seat is not so well designed and sits too close to my newborn baby lying beneath my 3 year old. The seat is within cms from actually sitting on the baby's belly and my 3 year old is not a huge child either.

Made life harder.
I have had alot of prams/strollers. I'm not fussy I would just like one that makes life that little bit easier.
I found the Phil & Ted sport made life harder. Oh yes their popular and you see them everywhere, but it wasn't for us.
The basket is the best to use out of all the prams I've had, but that's about as far as it goes.
The steering is extremely hard. Imagine steering a truck with no power steering! So I applaud the mums that have 2 kids.
The sunshade is pointless, especially for australia. I found the Valco trimode runabout's shade...Read more
the best. The valco has a zip in sunshade. Brilliant. The only thing I can recommend is try, try, try before you buy. Then try some more before you hand out your hard earn cash. Basket was easy to access. The rubber on the handle bar ripped off way to easy. The steering was very heavy when my toddler was in it.

The best and strongest light weight pram
With my very large children, together a weight more than 40kg, PLUS shopping on top, on the side and on the back, it STILL rolls lightly around corners, uphill, through narrow isles, etc. It is truly an amazing pram. One only has to look on Gumtree to see how many well used older models are still going strong; this pram is VERY GOOD.
Very good newborn fittings, very adaptable to older kids in combination with newborn. Large shopping basket underneath.
Easy collapsible, light weight. Fits in most small carboots. 3 seconds assembly.
Strong, easy handling, adaptable to any age child(ren)

Pick of the double strollers
We had a Mountain buggy, and with the arrival of our second child went in search of a double stroller. We considered the Baby jogger city select and a few side-by-side models like the Maclaren.
We ruled out the side-by-side options, as we found them too difficult to get through doorways and shop aisles. Although, I am aware some companies now have side-by-side strollers that are much narrowerer now.
The Baby jogger city select was our preferred choice, but price and cost of each additional things like covers was well beyond our means.

The best pram and best investment since we had kids!!
We heard from a friend who had a Phil and teds how great they are and with number 2 at that stage on the way, we were convinced to pay the bit more for quality. Well it paid off! We have had it for 3 years now and no problems at all. The material is still in good condition, and has been scrubbed cleaned plenty of times. The tyres are the best quality tyres I have came across on a pram and most importantly it fits through the aisles while shopping!!! I now have three kids and it still holds my 4 year old and 3 year old together, while being able...Read more
to easily push. Light weight, Good quality material, Easy to fold, lay back, change seats etc. Great for gravel, dirt tracks, and uneven roads. Holds 2 kids from birth to 5 years. (Maybe even older). Fits through skinny aisles at the shops. Different colours to choose from, Just great all round. Bad breaking system where the break is a bit too strong. So it is hard to lift up and down. (At least the break won't pop open itself) and on the pricey side but well worth it!!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Good pram for more than one child
I bought this pram after my first child was born as alot of my family members had it. It is a great jogging pram. Pretty easy to maneuver and extremely easy to disassemble, however I found it quite heavy. It is extremely useful if you have more than 1 child as it can accommodate 2 children from newborn upwards (with use of the double kit). This is it's key feature.
Reliable, easy to use, good jogging pram, can accommodate 2 children

Terrible
I have three children all 18 months apart, so thought this pram would be a godsend. It was not. Shocking quality, my material started fading and wearing out after 6 months. Attaching and unattaching the second seat everytime you want to use it is ridiculous and annoying. Frustrating that each child has to go in in a specific order - try telling your 18 m/o to wait to for their 3 y/o sibling to get in first because otherwise the thing will tip over. No basket space with two kids. Im tall and the handle is too low, get a sore back, and sore...Read more

Fits through any doorway and is easy to push Folding and unfolding is tricky, attaching the second seat everytime you use it is frustrating, no basket space, poor quality, poor design, cant take seat fabric off to watch without undoing 8 screws, clips that recline/straighten top seat IMPOSSIBLE to do up, poor tyre quliaty (4 flats in as many months)Similar opinion? Keeps costing me money to fix!!
Yes, the braking systems is terrible. I can live with that.
But having the front wheel lock all the time so the pram cannot turn, is just ridiculous. Lucky this happened whilst pram still under warranty, so didn't have to pay to get this fixed. However Phil and Teds did charge us for the courier to take it to get it fixed - or you can drive for miles yourself to take it to their authorised repairer.
The clips that hold the seat upright, that you undo for the child to lie down or do up to sit the child up, are such bad quality. They burst ...Read more
open each time I go over a bump and my baby boy falls back with them. The clips themselves cannot be replaced as they are sewn into the back. I would have to purchase a whole new back for the pram, which is more expensive than buying a whole new pram. Resale value? I wouldn't pay much for our pram second hand, especially since the rubber on the handle bars has split and is coming off. I hardly even use it, due to the problem listed above (I have a much cheaper, much better valco traveller that rocks over the P&Ts). It is also stored inside the house, away from windows or any sunlight in a cupboard, so it's not dried out from the sun or weathered. It's just again, poorly and cheaply made. Storage space is useless, small and the sides so shallow that everything falls out.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Good
We have two kids and no car, this stroller is our life and breath. We bought it just before our second child was born and it has served us very well in the past eight months. Had a flat the other day, but even that was covered in the warranty (or you could just easily buy the self repair kit like you would for your bike). Very easy to push and manoeuvre even with one hand, and it goes well on all terrains even offroad. At times when our son decides to jump down and walk, our daughter can still sit at the back with the front seat empty, but it i...Read more
s unbalanced this way (not recommended in the manual). Put some groceries on the front seat and the problem is fixed! (that's another thing a double stroller is good for anyway) This stroller is excellent if you like to walk to places. I don't think it is designed for frequent pack-n-load to the car as the stroller is heavy and fiddly to fold. Would give it 4.5 stars. Excellent slim and compact design for a double stroller. Light to push and easy to manoeuvre with one hand, runs well and smooth on all terrain. Heavy to lift. Fiddly to fold & unfold (but I've only folded it twice so far so maybe it just takes a bit of practice, as hubby never seem to have a problem). A bit difficult to put in a newborn baby when in double mode.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Perfect for walks
I loved this pram when we first bought it... then found it hard adjust with carpal tunnel in the first few months after baby came along. The buckle system was just too tight for me to clip. There is also not much storage space underneath. The breaking system is terrible.
It is nice and light, so perfect for long walks and carrying two kids.
Good as the exercise pram, not so good as the everyday pram.
Would recommend for walks and park visits.
light weight, inflatable tires
horrible breaking system

I got a one in a million dud
After a ton of research I purchased this pram for my first baby. the first time i used it i noticed it didnt click shut properly but thought it was something I was doing wrong. everytime i lifted it into the car it fell open onto the bumper jerking my back and shoulder. i took it back to Baby bunting 3+ times and eventually they sent it away for me to be repaired. It came back with a report saying "oiled and tested" i picked the pram up and it fell apart again fortunetly in front of Bb staff so again it was sent away, came back with the same pr...Read more
oblem, so after a firm email from me and BB they finally repalced the pram for me and i took store credit and brought a 2011 city mini. I would have kept the replacement Phil and Teds Sport but now my should is soo weak from picking up the dud pram all the time and catching it before it scratched the car i can bearly lift it anymore. I just hope no one has the same experience as me, My baby is now five months old and we just got our new city mini yesterday which weighs almost half the P&t, so lets hope this one is ok. smooth ride, narrow wheel base, good extras, great package deal for under 500 faulty, heavy, annoying that you had to take bubs out to sit her up before she could sit up herself, hard to do sit up clips and zip with one hand. hood was not big enough but they have fixed that with their new model.4 comments

Not as good as the Mountain Buggy
We bought a Phil and Teds after a second child due to their in-line double system. The in-line system is clever and probably the best double option on the market but the pram itself has some irritating glitches in my opinion. We had the Mountain Buggy Elite when we had one child and loved it. We've kept the Mountain Buggy and use it when we are out with only one child. As a single pram the Mountain Buggy has it all over the Phil and teds.
In-line double system, look of the pram, the slimlines
It's hard to put up and down in that the process is cumbersome plus the pram even without the double attachment is really heavy. There are too many buttons and snaps everywhere

Mountain Buggy still the winner
Purchased Phil & Teds to cater for 2nd child 17mths apart and at the time very limited choices avaialable. Although the Phil & Teds met the requirement to transport two children around, without hideously wide wheel base, it is cumbersome, difficult to fold & assemble, not very easy to steer (always requires 2 hands which you don't always have luxury of with 2 kids)and once 2nd child that bit older, they are no longer happy to sit in a seat with no view. Find (when we use it) that child in back seat gets bored easily, kicks sibling sittin in the ...Read more
fron seat in the back, put hands out to play with wheel and pulls everything out of basket. Since children have been 2.5 & 1, we use our NZ Mountain Buggy 99% of the time and if elder child gets tired she sits on the front, between legs of younger child. Mountain Buggy much easier to steer and copes better with the weight of 2 kids, has lots of pockets for keys phone etc If you need a pram to cater for 2 kids (close in age) and it's only for shops rather than walking dog, a double stroller might be a better option? Relatively light weight & compact, therefore fits down aisles without too many hassles, doesnt take up the entire boot and does cart two children around effectively when one still very small and for all its faults I was still happy to have it. Tips very easliy, as our 1st child got older she wanted to get in & out of the pram more frequently and weight in the back meant pram tipped. As 2nd child got older she would put herself in and out of the back and when no-one was in the front it tipped too. Not easy to fold or assemble, steering difficult and requires 2 hands, no pockets for keys, phone or purse, 2nd child has access to underneath basket, so items often getting tossed out (frustrating)Similar opinion? good for out & about!
I had been wanting one of these for ages, am quite the pram buff and been through many and am quite particular about my needs. This pram is beautiful to push but did not live up to my expectations or its reputation.
EXCELLENT steering! Easy to fold down, great pram that can have double option. Fits through all supermarket asiles, nice looking, good forolder child is higher seat
Poor material, Not heavy duty the zip came away fromthe back seat material, doesnt seem very fade resistant, Brake is so so hard to use! Sometimes have to bend over and use hand! poor sun shelter as visor thing doesnt extend over enough

Great for two
Bought 2010 model to cart two small children around and am generally very happy with it. Small footprint makes it easy to manoeuvre around tight shopping spaces. Material is sturdy and very easily cleaned. Good sized basket fits heaps of shopping in it. Rear position can be awkward to insert the child into (either laying flat or in the double seat) but is worth it for not pushing a huge pram around. Tyres need pumping up very regularly or the pram heads off in strange directions. The brake is very stiff and is nearly impossible to disenga...Read more

Love it, Love it, Love it!!!!
I bought my Phil and Ted sport second hand as we needed a double with a 2yo, almost 1yo and one on the way. The pram came with a few missing pieces so i searched the net and found that you can buy sooooooo many diferent spare parts. Just about anything you need you can buy.
I also love the versatility of being able to change the little ones around, it fits in my boot well and steers great.
reliable, looks great, large main seat (even my 6yo fits comfortably), folds really compact, lots of extras and attachments to make lif easier, versatile, kids love it, easy to fold and unfold.
Can tend to be expesive but if you buy second hand you can get a great deal.

A great, well-designed, well-built all round pram. The options of being able to go jogging in this pram and yet it is still good for walking around the shops with, makes it ideal for us (saves having to buy another pram just to take out jogging!). Designed to be able to take two kids also gives it the advantage over many other prams. Happy we went with this P & T's Sport pram.

Excellent
Best pram out there it is my 4th pram and the first one that has done everything I need. The best thing to do is if you know someone that has one see if you can borrow it for a couple of days & try it out for yourself, don't take evryone else's word for it. My son is nearly 2 and happily sits in it still cause he sits up nice & high. Don't just take my word for it though
The Dbl kit have only had to use it when baby sitting but it will be a godsent when our new addition arrives, can manouvre anywhere I shop alot and can fit it easily around the shops and ppl. Love that you can buy spare parts, new hoods, toy bars, handle, wheel guards

Bought this one aware of the brake, zipper and adjustment issues, so caveat emptor on those. It's the best double on the market, but...
Not sure if it's a flaw in manufacture or developed over time, but now the tires (front and one of the rear ones) keep popping out from the rim. Barely used in the time since it was bought (what most would put it through in a month) and P&T says the tire isn't covered. We'd either need to get a new tube or complete new wheel. (That is, buy one)

I have just bought a Phil and Teds sport stroller from the local op shop, in great condition . Couldn’t believe my luck, but...how do you fold it up?
2 answers
That’s awesome! You’ll love it!
Under the seat near where it goes to the feet plastic section, you’ll see a red clip, push and slide it across and the stroller top will fold down and then it clips up when you pick it up.
I had an older version so the fold up mechanism was different. If you have a sport, this video is pretty helpful.
