Good and reasonable price.

I bought this last week and I am happy with this machine. The pump is very smooth and very comfortable. Noise level is acceptable. Very reasonable price. Take less time to pump the breast milk and natural touch.

Easy to use & comfortable!

published

The avent single electric pump is easy to give and comfortable! Its efficient and small enough to store away. You can also use it with batteries so if you need to take your pump with you while out its not an issue. It has 3 suctions to use from so finding the one that is perfect for you is simple.

It's perfect. Works really well!

The breast pump i bought was easy to use and really did the job. The spare bottle I got with the pack came in handy too. Motor works well and hardly has no sound.

Amazing help when i needed

I had my baby and wanting to continue breastfeeding in spite of wanting to return to work, this Avent breast pump came to my rescue. With the automatic button pressed, I could lie back and just take turns with each breast. Easier than I had thought expression would be

good value

It’s comfortable to use. Does it fairly quickly. Draws milk sufficiently. I used the pump about 3 times a week. Of all the pumps on the market I found the availability of parts the easiest to find, you can get them from Coles, baby shops and chemists.

I love this pump

published

I was given a 2nd hand Medela by a friend and was never very happy with the small amount I'd pump each time. It ceased working one day when milk got into the motor and the troubleshooting didn't work. After comparing pumps and choosing this Avent one, I couldn't be happier. Expressing a lot more and finding it very easy to use and clean. I'm so happy with the purchase and the warranty provided. It also cannot fail in the way that the Medela did. Love it!

Reliable and easy to use!

published

Very comfortable, sometimes needs to be re positioned to be effective, but this is no real big issue. Very easy to clean and operate. The battery setting when not plugged in seems to have some bugs, the pump will sometimes just stop pumping, but we don’t rely on the battery as a function so we love the pump!

Excellent pump

published

I really liked this pump. It is small, light weighted than the one I was using earlier. It is very comfortable to use and you really don't have to lean forward like with other pumps.I get good milk flow and can express a decent amount of milk with each pumping. Recommeded

Good starter breast pump!

published

This pump did the job for me. As a stay at home mum, I did not use it regularly and my son did not like to drink from the bottle when he was younger. I only pumped to get milk to mix with his food or when I needed to leave the house for an hour or two. This pump helped a lot when I had too much supply. Its cheap compared to other pumps.
My only issue with it was the material turns brownish or darker even with minimal use.

Works but very minimal output

published

This machine works but is quite uncomfortable I even tried the wider cushion and it just pinches
It also takes a very long time to get a small amount compared to other brands I’ve used.
Could just be that it’s not for me but would work great for someone else but my experience wasn’t terrible just not great.

Alright product

published

It’s very comfortable to use but I felt when using it not very powerful in pumping. I felt it takes long time to pump but apart from that it’s good to travel with and easy to pack. Cleaning the product is easy, instructions are clear. It’s good value for money.

Very average pump

published

This pump is loud and very average suction. I borrowed a friends Medela (which I was too cheap to buy) and it is way better and worth the extra $100 for regular uses. My Avent hand pump is fine for irregular uses, but not as efficient as the electric pumps

Good value

published

Used it once a day for 3months at a time. Have 2 little ones. Good value and flexible with either using it by power or battery. Felt no difference of power between the two options. Bit annoying sometimes to wash because there are so many pieces but overall good machine does the job with 3 different speeds.

Fantastic pump... took the stress out of expressing!

published

Absolutely loved this pump. I found it really easy and comfortable to use. Fairly quite machine with 2 different settings so you can select how fast or slow you want to pump. Easy to pull apart for cleaning and great quality, I was able to use the same pump for both my children. I would definitely purchase this product again.

Such a life saver

published

We got this as a gift and I’m so glad we did. It made like a lot easier for me!

It’s very easy to use, light and easy to clean. My only negative is I found it leaks a little sometimes and I really couldn’t figure out how to fix that.

Will be using when we have number 2!

Loved this pump! Quick and quiet

published

This breast pump was super comfortable to use. It was easily able to be taken apart to clean and put back together. The pump itself is quiet yet really powerful. It also has different settings so that you are able to select how fast or slow you want to pump. Starts off with a let down pump as well to get you flowing. Loved it!

Not strong enough

published

Unfortunately this item wasn't strong enough for me and I couldn't pump more then 40ml
Unlike the hospital grade (I tried the spectra version after my son was born) where I could get 70-90ml the device is comfortable and not too noise just didn't work for me. If I was more prepared I would of purchased the spectra even though it's dearer

Avent Comfort Single Electric

So... I got one second hand, ( i know its probably not recommended) Anyway, worked like a dream... wasnt too noisy and great milk output, and it just suddenly lost suction from the machine part whilst trying to express for approximately 10 seconds, then started again. Happened once to begin with. The next time it happened twice and then the 3rd time it stopped and just never started up again. You could hear it wasn't sucking at all. As I don't physically breastfeed due to latching issues I rely on the pumps and as shops close at 5.30pm, and that was the time I was expressing, I couldn't just pop to the shops and get another one, so resulted in getting yet another second hand one, which was SUPER noisy. So the early morning expression I had to leave the room to avoid waking up the baby and husband. At that point I decided I was getting new one and have the other as back up... So I got a new one. Was fine to begin with, pumping fine (still does), noise was fine.... but now after a couple of months it's starting to get noisy. I can still be in the same room as sleeping baby at this stage, just fear its going to get louder. Also with the return to work coming soon. I'm having a bit of anxiety about the noise so the questions are... 1. that first pump, is that how the die? 2. Why do they suddenly get noisy? Wear and tear? everything is plugging in correctly. As I am writing this I just pumped 500ml (1st expression of the day, but woo go me! - definitely no pumpjng issue)

Can I use rechargeable 4 x 1.5V lithium batteries on the philips avent single electric breast pump, instead of the 4 x 1.2V Ni-MH batteries?
My spouse feedback to me that using the rechargeable 4 x 1.2V Ni-MH batteries, the pump action was not as strong as when using the power adaptor.
