Thought it was a bad product until I put it in the wash
I gave the washable breast pads a try initially and they did stick to my nipples like others said and was painful to remove when dry. THEN I gave it another try a few weeks later after they're washed and they don't stick anymore. I've also tried bamboo ones and find they're very damp when wet, while this Avent one dries quicker. I prefer to use the Avent ones (washable) now.

If I could give this 0 stars I would
I haven’t had any problems with the pads moving or leaking through like others have, however they stick to my nipples badly. I have literally had to hold my breath and just rip them off because they just stick like glue. They even caused one of my nipples to bleed and crack. It’s probably the most painful thing I have ever experienced, even worse than childbirth. If anyone is looking for an alternative to this product the bio bums bamboo breast pads are amazing

Waste of money
First time trying reusable pads and these were useless. I tried 3 times and 3 times any milk just soaked through to my top. They don't absorb v well so was left really damp and also the fluffy material dries and sticks to your nipple so needs to be cleaned off every time you feed. Wouldn't recommend.

Terrible product that sticks to your nipples!
These breast pads were so painful to use. They stick to your nipples so are very sore to remove when your nipples are already so tender from breast feeding. They also leave behind a layer of fluff on your nipples so you are needing to pick this off (ouch) prior to feeding your baby. The material used is totally inappropriate for its purpose.

They're terrible
Terrible pads, my bra is completely soaked because they don't soak up any milk. They're moving around and when you try to take them off they stick to my nipples, ouch. They also look really bad after just a few washes. I would really like my money back cause this was a true waste.

More cons than pros
I have a lot of the Avent range - bottles, pump, storage cups and Baby's dummies. I love it all, so I really wanted to try these pads. Disposables cost a fortune and they chafe my nipples making them cracked and sore.
I don't leak a lot anymore (Baby is 11 weeks) but have a strong let down when I feed. The biggest issue I have is that they slip A LOT. Within minutes, they are nowhere near my nipples. So I can either try to "subtly" adjust them, or leave the room continually. I have thought about putting some hot glue gun squiggles on the back ...Read more

ou're happy with the other baby products in the Avent range. We highly appreciate your feedback and will make sure to forward it to our product developers, as it helps a great deal in improving our products. Kind regards, The Philips Australia TeamIf you could get them to curve a bit, the way the disposable pads do, I think that would help both issues a lot. Painful
Painful!
These breast pads are terrible - they stuck to my nipples and it is painful trying to peel it off. The breast pads also leave behind a layer of fluff on my nipples so it's even more stressful and painful to remove it when I already have sore nipples. The material used on the pads are completely unsuitable for the intended purpose!

Great for my sensitive skin
I used these for my first bub 4 years ago and they were fantastic. I can't use disposables as they irritate my nipples and cause blocked ducts in my nipples. These were the perfect solution as they are far softer than the paper like disposables. They are not fully waterproof but that is why I like them, wearing a nappy on my breasts causes problems, I prefer natural fibres and airflow.
I am having trouble finding them now with my new baby, I guess with all the bad reviews the chemists aren't stocking them which means I'm waking around with wet shirts!

Disappointed
Considering its washable i thought its a great idea and ill be able to save money. But it turns out i have to go back to the disposable ones. Made my shirt wet and can't hold enough leaks. And it sticks to my nipple with a bit of a fluff. Not just that its easy to pull out during feedings.

Doesn't work the way it should.
Doesn't work, doesn't absorb and i end up with a wet shirt within an hour or two of wearing them. I had used this product in previous pregnancies and can't remember having these troubles or i would've stuck to disposable pads instead of purchasing these. Even as i type I have only just put the breast pads on half an hour ago, and my shirt is wet already! Unfortunately looks like its back to disposable ones for me.

Some milk flows are heavier than others, we also do recommend to change them out every two to four hours, or until they stop absorbing. If you'd like to discuss your feedback regarding our washable breast pads further, please don't hesitate to contact us on 1300 363 391 or through http://philips.com/support/. Not as expected at all!
Purchased 2 packs of these having high hopes as they are from a reputable brand Avent. Thinking that they are cotton, washable and waterproof as advertised but they are a complete wasfe of money. Very disappointed! They leaked right through, sticks to nipples and when take it off, it leaves bits and pieces of fluff from the cotton fabric on my nipples- meaning that if not wiped with water before feeding my baby will have swallow those flufffs! It traps moisture. Don't recommend for anyone thinking it is waterproof because it is not!

Leaks through and sticks to my nipples, unfortunately disappointed.
I got these to wear over night and already had some reusable washable ones so I wanted to have a weeks worth of pads. These leak through to the point I feel like I needn't bother putting them on at all, my top is soaked by morning around the under outer edge of these pads. They also stick to my nipple meaning they need to be ripped off at feeding time which is not the most comfortable of things to have to do. I have bamboo reusables that are softer and don't leak so I should have just gotten more of these.
Wish I hadn't bothered with this product, I'm surprised as thought Avent was a reputable brand.
I have a picture of my top after one night but this site will not allow me to attach it.

My biggest problem / concern with these pads is that they stick to my nipples which results in little bits of fluff staying on my nipple when my son is screaming for a feed. It's an unnecessarily stressful experience while I try to pick the fluff off. Unfortunately I've had to buy other breast pads as I cannot use these ones.

Just like everyone else, wish I had read the reviews first... not happy!!
So disappointed to finally use these. I didn't even get a chance to see if they were absorbent or not as I put them in but the outline of them (because they're so stiff and have no shape/don't curve around the breast) completely showed through my top. No chance I could've left the house in them. It looked ridiculous... big discs on my chest. How are these even on the market? Especially when I read about all the other issues on here!! Feel completely ripped off!! : (

Disappointing product
I brought these in the hope that I would save some money by not having to buy the disposables pads. However, first try and they were terrible. I found one of the pads had moved to the middle of my chest. Another while positioned over my breast had somehow allowed a leak at the bottom of my bra. It's as though they are not very absorbent. I really wanted these to work. The only way I can see these working is by wearing a tighter bra, which is not recommended as it can put pressure on milk ducts.

Work great!
Love these! Saved alot of money being able to wash them and reuse. When baby was a new born they soaked through quickly with my let down but was easy enough to swap them over with a dry pair. May be more comfortable to use once milk supply has settled down and baby is a few weeks old, but had no trouble using them with my second bub straight from birth. First use tend to get a little fluff stuck to nipple but within a few washes that is gone. Would definitely recommend to new mums as I didn't know about them until another mum told me!

Good for daytime or light use, nice and comfy
Despite the bad reviews, I like this product - they're the best reusable pads that I've found and I've tried a few. They are best for daytime use when leakage isn't so much. The patterned cover helps to stop them slipping around and the cotton inside cover is nice and soft. I don't have large breasts though (size 12DD when breastfeeding) and I don't suffer from cracked or sore nipples. I also find that they do wick away moisture to some degree, but not as fully as a disposable. I tried them at night and they did soak through so I now use dispos...Read more

Expensive garbage, don't bother.
I bought these not long after having my baby hoping that I could save some money as I was spending a fortune on disposables. They just don't work at all. They're not absorbent, stick to the nipple causing a huge amount of pain when you already have damage, and the small amount of moisture they hold isn't wicked away, it's just held there against the skin resulting in irritation and damage to already sensitive nipples.
