I loved them, they saved me allot of money . They were soft and absorbent and will be using them again for my 3rd child . Thumbs up for me
Washable i have 12 sets and it was much cheaper then having to buy Disposables, I found it absorbent and will use them again

Terrible
I used these for the first month of breastfeeding my baby.
The biggest issue with these are that they simply aren't absorbant. I had to change them every few hours, and still had wet tops all the time and loads of washing- really not what you need with a newborn. Switching to disposables was a much better choice for me. I gave them another chance a few months later, but they were still pretty hopeless for me.
Washable- would save money if they work for you
Not very absorbant
Petty bulky in your bra, so not good if you're using a feeding top
Slip around in bra/top- no good if they won't even cover
Nipples stuck to the pads

I tend to mainly wear these at night or when I am home during the day. I have not been using them as much with this baby but have found they were great when I had a crack in my nipple. Much more comfortable and seemed to breathe where as the disposables did not. I think it made healing quicker. They are a good way of saving money and because they dry quickly you always have some ready to go.
More comfortable than disposable. Dry quickly. Breathable.
Can leak especially in the early stages of breastfeeding and also move around a bit as there is nothing to adhere them to your bra.

these would be great if you are budget restricted, and cannot afford to buy better quality re-useable nursing pads or disposable nursing pads.
i am also not quite sure why they used cotton for the absorbent layer, as there are far better options available these days (bamboo for example) cotton is not very absorbent at all, so i really found these quite useless.
very pretty. great value for money.
not very absorbent. i had VERY leaky boobs until my baby was 6 months old, and these never lasted more than a few hours on me, and definately not overnight.
they are also very small (about 8-9cms diameter) which i found did not cover enough of my overample chest.

These are fanatic and would recommend these to everyone. I found i did have to use disposable at night when bub was first born, but after a few weeks when your milk settles down these will do the job. If your bra doesn't fit snugly they can move around and a few time I've almost had mine fall out which can be embarrassing. I would buy at least two packs of these so you always have clean ones on hand. Disposable ones tend to draw & dry out sensitive nipples and at one stage all i could wear was these due to the soft cotton and breath-ability!
soft on sensitive nipples, washable and reusable, comes with a small wash bag
it is on the small side and can slip around in bra, especially at night. Doesn't hold big leaks

The idea of washable, reusable breast pads appealed to me as I need to use them everyday and constantly buying disposables is expensive. These can be worn comfortably all day long and I always wear them when I am at home. They are just too noticeable under clothes to wear them out. I don't think they need to be quite as thick as they are, and if they were thinner with a stay dry cover I would definitely use them exclusively.
Soft and comfortable. Made of cotton with a lace backing, so breathable unlike disposable breast pads that have the plast...

I decided right from the start I was going to use washable cloth breast pads and it turned out to be a really good decision. For the first few months of breastfeeding I needed to use breast pads 24/7 until my milk supply settled down. I felt confident using Philips Avent pads. They were really absorbent and the best thing is that they were actually comfortable to wear. On the occasions when I used sample disposable breast pads, I found them extremely scratchy and needed to be changed much more often than the cloth version. I also liked the fact...
Read more that once the initial outlay was made, I didn't need to pay any more for them and I could just throw them into the washing machine with the rest of the washing. Much better for my body, wallet and the environment. Comfortable, more cost effective than disposable and better for the environment too. Easy to see the outline through clothing when wearing thin fabrics (although disposable might not be much better). Having to use a crop top or tight fitting singlet overnight because they don't have sticky tabs to hold in place.Related Articles

Convenient to have on hand, you don’t have to worry about running out of pads. I found the pads move around too much causing leakage esp at night . And once the milk had dried up the pad sometimes be stuck to my nipple. I use it more around the house and disposable ones when going out.
Reusable pad so cost effective and good for the environment. Also come with a washing bag which keeps the pads in good condition and prevent them being lost in the washing machine.
Bit thick and show through clothes. Doesn’t stay in place moves around causing leakage esp at nights.

Overall I find these are good for use during the day when I tend not to leak as much. I preferthe soft cotton against my skin compared to disposables. However to stay dry at night I need to use disposables.
I feel more environmentally friendly using washable breast pads as it minimizes waste. It also provides a back up if I forget to buy disposable breast pads. The pads are nice and soft and come with a handy wash or storage bag.
They slip around unless held within a well fitted maternity bra. The colour is kind of boring. I'm finding they are getting less soft with repeated washes.

I LOVE my washable breast pads. They are fantastic. I rarely leak through them, even when they are completely soaked. They are durable and long lasting, and end up much cheaper (and more environmentally friendly) than buying disposable ones all the time. They are the one product I couldn't live without!
Very absorbent, even when saturated they rarely leak through onto my bra. Soft, breathable, and environmentally friendly. It means you never run out of breast pads.
Kind of expensive at around $12 for 6. You need to buy a few packets to make sure you have enough. Can not be stuck to your bra like disposable breast pads so move around and occasionally fall out! Can be bad if they are all dirty and you have no disposable ones as a backup!

i found these pads useful for when i was at home, and it didnt matter too much if they leaked, and also where i could change them frequently. out and about, i ended up using disposables because it was too much hassle using these ones.
environmentally friendly, not too bulky. cotton is a nice fabric against your skin.
in spite of the lace which is supposed to keep the pads in place, i found that they moved around quite a lot which was annoying. they are definitely not as absorbent as disposable ones, and because they have not plastic backing, they leak after a while

I found these quite nice to use and have kept them for my next baby. I think the inner fibres should be made from more absorbent fabric (hemp or bamboo, for instance) and then they might last a bit longer for mums who leak all the time!
Much softer and easy to use than disposables and also good on your budget. Easy to clean and good for short periods of time.
Not large enough to use for long periods of time (ie. overnight). I leaked through them many times in the early days, but once my milk settled down a bit they did work okay for overnight. ...

Overall a great product. Love the thickness and comfort. Good price (paid $10 for the pack) and they last for ages.
they are washable which means you can reuse them. look nice. thicker and more comfortable than some other pads I've tried
seem to move around a bit. I found these seemed to stick to my nipples more when they were cracked which causes some pain when you try to unstick them.

I have kept mine but only for emergencies when I have run out of the disposable ones. Although it is more cost effective in the long run to buy these, they didnt work well for me. I much prefer the disposable ones. Note that these are thicker than the disposable ones (although I didnt find the thickness a problem).
They can be washed and re-used
Unlike the disposable breast pads, these pads do not have a sticky bit that sticks to your bra. So they do not stay in place and are therefore prone to leaks especially during the night.
They did not...
Read more absorb as much as the disposable pads. This is going to be a personal thing as it depends on how much milk you have. A friend of mine loved these pads and didnt have a problem but for me, they didnt absorb enough and I had leaks.- 85 reviews

Washable pads have saved me so much money, i only had to use disposables when i went out in case i leaked. They were very comfortable though a little small, didnt absorb as much as the disposables. I like the lace design. I would reccomend these as they last basically forever
I love that these are washable, and they come in a washable bag. Fit well inside bra. They come in a pack of 6. They only cost around $10 and can be used over and over again.
They are a little small and i found they didnt stay in place very well.

I loved these. My sister gave them to me for my 4th child and they have been fantastic. Yes they do move around but I ended up wearing two in one cup at night so that I had them just overlapping, this solved any leakage problems. Easy to wash and care for and they are much more comfortable than the disposables. They also provide and little padding for my very sensative nipples. Well worth it.
They are soft and comfortable and aren't noisy like some of the disposables. And because you can toss them in with your normal wash or the baby's clothes, they work out cheaper. They also come with the wash bag. The lace is a nice touch since most of the maternity stuff isn't really sexy.
They do move around a bit throughout the day and at night.

I was going through that many disposable breast pads a day, i just couldnt afford it, the washables cost the same amount as one box of disposables and will last you until you are finished. Though i did find them to be a bit small and i would often leak a bit.
So cheap, can be used over and over again. Nice lace design, very comfortable and cushiony. You get 3 pairs per box, come in a washable bag
Not big enough, dont have any stick on the back so they move out of place, therefore not doing what they are supposed to

A good, cost effective option. I use it mostly at night now that baby sleeps through. The bulk never really bothered me during the daytime, but perhaps because I generally use a Bonds padded bra.
Much more cost effective compared to disposable options. Also the cheapest washable option I could find. The included washing bag was great, nice and secure for use in the washing machine, when properly secured it never opened once during the fast spin cycle.
The diameter of the pad is a little small, so when it does move the edge rubs. Also there is not much of a curve to the pad so sometimes it does not sit nicely but bunches slightly at the side to rub even more. Moves around, especially under crop tops as opposed to nursing bras.

I had Lots of milk and found that I just soaked straight through these and into my clothes every time I wore them. This meant changing clothes as well as breast pads. And then there was the painful process of peeling them off when they were stuck. A waste of money in my case.
Washable, so good for the environment and you don't have a constant outlay of money. The washbag is good - you can keep them all together.
Because they arn't moulded, they were visable under clothing. With no sticky on the back (like disposable ones) they moved around in the bra often, resulting in leaks. Not absorbant enough. The cotton cover stuck to the nipple.

I was recommended to use these by a midwife when I had badly cracked nipples. I needed tons as just leaked through them really quickly (I'm a big leaker). But they seemed to help. Also as they feel wet it reminds you how often you need to change them. I find with some of the other super absorbent pads when you are really busy they feel OK and it is easy to forget that they need to be changed so regularly. I wouldn't wear these out in public as they leak through easily and you can see them. But wouldn't be without a big supply at home. Very economical especially as you have more children.
Love the fact that they are washable and no packaging
In the early days leaked through them really quickly

I bought these to save money as I was going through a lot of breastpads - I was disappointed with these as per my comments - I ended up buying another brand
washable therefore money is saved - wash bag included
I found that they werent big enough and would move around in my bra which resulted in leaks.

I had high expectations which were not met by this product, I like the idea of reusing and not being disposable but they could not be worn all the time. I did reduce the amount of disposable pads I needed by using these at home and at night but overall I prefer the pigeon ultra slim.
Washable so can save money in the long run, I found them comfortable to wear and breathable while exercising.
Moved around in my bra and were prone to leakage so I ended up only wearing them at home and during the night, using disposables mostly because I could be more confident I would not show leakage. They stuck like glue to the nipple which hurt coming off. Very visable under clothing.

These are great to have as 'backups' when you've ran out of your disposable pads to save you when you've all of a sudden ran out of the disposable breast pads (which happens at the best of times!). Otherwise, I would not recommend using them all the time as they are not very comfortable, a little bit bulky and you would need to buy quite a few packs (not very cheap either) to have enough to use so that you would not need to be washing them everyday or two.
Re-usable, handy to use when disposable breastpads have run out, washing bag included,
Tend to 'stick' to nipple once leakage has occurred, need to wash to reuse, a bit bulky, not many in pack, not very absorbent

I bought these as an alternative to disposables and was disappointed. They are nice and soft, but not big enough in diameter to stay in place and way too thick, as other reviews have noted. They soaked through quickly, so I only used them at home as I didn't want to be embaressed while out. I found the Pigeon Ultra-Slim disposables to be a much better product, although not as eco-friendly!
Reusable - eco friendly, net bag for washing, soft feel.
Not very absorbant, thick, moved around inside bra, only good to use at home, but not even great at that!

Might be ok to use once feeding has been established and you dont need so much protection but otherwise dont waste your money. Yes disposables are more expensive but at least they do the job. Johnson and Johnson dissposables and pigeon i found to be the best by the way.
nothing at all
Absolutely useless tried to use these and first problem was they are so small you had to position them just right otherwise if they moved slightly they wernt covering anything. Second they are too bulky and can be seen through tops so it looks like you have malformed breasts and 3rdly they are as absorbant as tissue paper. Couldnt use during the day due to being seen through clothing and tried for 2 nights to use them only to wake up with my top all wet.
