Can I add ingredients later or during mid-cooking with this cooker? I've never used a pressure cooker so I'm not sure how they work. Ie. adding vegetables near the end that don't require as long to cook.

Sub:The sticker in front of the display
All I can see when cooking functions are selected is just the lights of respective display button functions on the background, the front view is obstructed by the sticker. Is this sticker just for the cosmetic display and could be or should be removed?. As the timings just shows 88:88 and can't actually see the cooking times. Please advise .

Remove the sticker. I did exactly the same thing and returned it as faulty. When the second one did exactly the same, I got help from a lovely lady at philiips who explained that the sticker comes off and then one can use all the functions properly. The sticker looks like it is part of the front of the cooker. Good luck!

Thanks for your question on here, Jaynagta. It seems that a helpful customer beat us to it. But indeed, you could simply remove the sticker - as it was meant to protect the screen whilst not yet taken in use.

I have the same problem. The numbers don’t light up. All I can see is the “ 8888”. I returned the first one and had it replaced but this one is exactly the same. Could it be faulty or am I just stupid?

Hello Suzie,

Thank you for your question! We've checked this for you, and can confirm that the All-In-One Cooker has a pressure level of 6.5 PSI plus the atmospheric pressure 14PSI, so a total of about 20PSI. We hope this answers your question!

We’re using my Premium All in One Cooker for the first time and roasting chicken. We selected pressure cooker/poultry. We couldn’t see the cooking time as it displays 88:88 on the panel. So it cooked for 15 minutes which of course is undercooked. What did we miss?

Philips S.Philips

Hi Perla. Thanks for reaching out to us. We agree that 15 minutes is way to short for roasting a chicken. ;) When you select the poultry option on the pressure cooker you can adjust the cooking time manually according to the recipe you're following. You can do by pressing the Cooking Time button. The cooking time will now flash on the screen. You can change the cooking time with the +/- button. Press and hold the Start/Reheat button ( ) for 3 seconds and the All-in-One cooker starts working in the selected mode. Hopefully this will help you getting a perfectly cooked roast chicken on the table. :) Let us know if you have any other questions.

We have done all that you said but the timer still displays 88:88. There is a piece of label stuck on the screen. This may sound like a silly question, but are we supposed to remove that sticky label?

Thank you for coming back to us, Perla - that might be the case. Is the label blocking the screen? If you're still unable to find a solution, you're also welcome to contact us at 1300 363 391 or on social media (Facebook or Twitter) - our colleagues will be happy to take a deeper look!

What settings should I use to cook beetroot in my all in one cooker?

1 answer
Philips
Philips S.Philips

Hi, John. Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us here with your question. When using a pressure cooker, cooking times are drastically reduced. We can therefore imagine it takes somewhere around 15-20 minutes to prepare beetroot in the pressure cook setting. However, please note cooking times can vary depending on the size of the ingredients used. Perhaps it's advisable to experiment a bit until you find the settings that work best for you. After all, trial and error is usually the way to achieve the tastiest results in cooking!

If you would prefer precise advise on settings, we're also happy to get in touch with our product specialists. If you'd like that, please reach out to us on one of our social media channels like Facebook or Twitter (@PhilipsCare). Our colleagues there are available 24/7 to help you out.

Stainless steel is not aluminium. It's an alloy where iron is the main component.

Hi Lisa. Thanks for your question. All of our Philips products comply with all regulations in regards to food safety. In case of the aluminum alloy inner pot, this is covered with a special colored Whitford golden coating which makes it anti-scratch and non-stick. We hope this helps, and don't hesitate to reach out to us again.
