A little pricier than other comparable Air Purifiers but works well
Some people seem worried about the Philips 1215/70 automatically switching over to sleep mode so I will address this matter first.
When in night mode the air purifier operates just as stated in the Philips manual.
When the lights are very dim the unit switches off the bright circular light which indicates the current air quality. The indicators are:
Blue: good.
Violet: fair.
Pink: unhealthy.

Fault in design
Customers beware. All of these units have the same issue. The night sensor on the unit has been designed to active when low levels of light are in the room. The night sensor on all units sold will activate when it should sense light. The design from phillps has made all units sold turn on night when the light level is still high. There is no way to turn night mode off. The unit will always run in night mode. Night mode does not have the HEPA mode. No benefit from night mode and no way to override it. Phillps have no answer and have yet to correct the fault in the design
