Phoenix Rush Sink Mixer - on a drop-in (inset) sink is an absolute crap
We have upgraded our kitchen and laundry sinks to Phoenix Rush Sink Mixer RU730 chrome.
With the drop-in kitchen sink, where tap is installed over the sink metal, it's a disaster.
1st tap leaked water in to the cabinetry around the mounting point.
We had the tap replaced with a new one.
The plumber cursed the tap design struggling for a few hours to undo the old one and install the new (tight spot).
The new one's mount was good for several weeks but then it became loose and the whole thing is coming off the sink.
The Phoenix rep would...Read more

After only 4 years, crome coating has bubbled off and looks terrible!
We paid for a the European fittings upgrade with Coral Homes and they use this brand. They look lovely but after about 3 or 4 years, the coatings turned "bubbly" and started to come off. They look terrible! Noise is not a problem with us, but after this length of time, the quality of the product doesn't stand up to being an "Upgrade". We will replace them with product from Bunnings soon enough. We thought by paying more we'd have the taps and pitting for 20 years, like our parents did. Obviously this type of quality costs more than we expected and buying Phoenix is not buying a quality product.

Black Hahd Shower on Rail
Cheap and nasty. All of the black coating has peeled off twice. We received a replacement once and the same thing has happened again. Will never use the products again.

Good products, bad customer service.
I fitted our entire home and fitted black Phoenix tapware in the kitchen, bathrooms x 3, laundry. I spent approximately $5k with Phoenix.
The shower head cradle was installed on the wrong side by the plumber and there are no instructions online (plumber took rubbish with him). The cradle was too long to spin to the other side so I unscrewed the visible screw in the cradle and moved it.
I can't screw it back in, it spins and it turns out to be a tension screw and the cradle is floppy. So I requested help. I was told to buy a new part, so I a...Read more

Warranty after 12 months is a lie
It'll cost you more to fix the tap after 12 months than the tap is worth. Cheap Chinese rubbish failed in 18 months and phoenix send you a part that requires tools worth hundreds of $ or a plumber worth more than the tap. Reece washed their hands too. My advice by a $100 Chinese rubbish tap from Bunnings. It'll last the same and just buy a new one if it fails. Why pay a premium for no better quality and total lack of willingness to stand to warranty. Liars

Warranty honoured, received new tap immediately
I bought a Phoenix Nostalgia tap however I just want to comment on Phoenix generally. Love the tap design and very happy with functionality. A part wore out after 5 years of flicking the tap backwards and forwards across the sink. Phoenix replaced the whole tap for me immediately. The service was excellent. I would buy from this company again.

Excellent Tapware
We renovated two bathrooms a year ago now, and used Phoenix Rush tapware. They look gorgeous, and work perfectly. We haven't noticed any noise at all. Have recommended to friends who are equally happy.

PHOENIX RUSH TAPWARE - VERY, NOISY! VERY ANNOYING!!!!!!
We built a new home and the builder used Phoenix Rush tapware throughout as standard. These taps are very stylish and good looking, however are incredibly noisy when used. Washing hands in the ensuite for a few seconds is loud enough to wake others up. You can hear loud tap noise through a sound insulated wall and the noise generated echoes through the water pipes making the noise even worse. When downstairs, you can hear the shower being used upstairs! This is very embarrassing when you have guests over and is constant source of annoyance. If ...Read more
there is some type of standard for maximum noise from taps, then there is no way Phoenix Rush should pass. If there isn't a maximum noise standard there should be. When I raised this issue with the builder he was aware of the noise problem and suggested moving the mixer into different positions to lessen the noise. But this is not practical because it needs to be in the position to give the required temperature. If your builder uses these taps, I would suggest you demand a different type and research noise level before ordering.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Phoenix Tapware
Hi All,
I just had a extensive renovation at our house and considering that we would like to live in this house for at least another 5-8 years, we decided to pick the best, for bathrooms, kitchen and rest. i have purcahsed three wall mixers and three bathroom basin mixers, 6 of these are incredibly so noisy that i can beleive manufacturer continue manufactuing these products. I have called Phoenix head office in Melbourne and very poor service and custmer service worst than their products. I certainly will not sit and do nothing and wil do an...Read more

Phoenix Taps - A Blot On A Beautiful House
So happy with our new house but the course, loud noise from our phoenix taps is just about driving us insane. We've had a plumber out to fit a restrictor on to reduce our water flow down to a mere 300 kpa. Only slightly less noise but still hard to live with. Loud noise comes in when taps are operating at reduced flow. This is our third build and never had this problem before. What's more our neighbours who have higher water pressure than us (they are downhill) experience complete quietness when operating their mixer taps.

Excellent
We bought the separate tap outlet and mixers for our ensuite and they look amazing. They are also lovely to use and don't make any noise. If i can afford to, I plan to buy the rest of the range for two new bathrooms in my house. I have the tap outlet and the separate mixer.

Phoenix rush range
We bought the entire Phoenix rush range for our new bathroom. Basin mixer, bath tub tap, twin shower head with mixer. They have got to be the worst taps ever. They are so noisy it's not funny. I need ear muffs every time I turn the bath tub tap on. I ended up replacing the tap with one from bunnings for $25 which reduced the noise by half. The shower head isn't as noisy but still noisy enough to notice and the same applies for the basin. I found that with the basin if you have it all the way on hot or all the way on cold it is fine but when it ...Read more
is in the centre it is much noisier. The taps in our old bathroom did not make a noise and I sometimes wish we didn't renovate. Looks good. A little bit cheaper than other well known brands. Terrible quality. Very noisy2 comments
I love my phoenix tapware and they are silent!

Black tapware, the cons? is it hard to maintain? Don't like finger prints on the chrome, so wanted to change to black.

Don't do it - Dark colours show every single little water spot or drop, especially if your water is 'hard' (my experience with dark tiles)

Tapware guru
One thing to keep in mind when changing over your tapware (particularly a renovation) is that due to government initiatives the water rate at which tapware flows has been greatly reduced.
ls from the 90's and early 2000's would be able to flow with as much as 18 litres per minute. All tapware is now reduced to 9 litres per minute or less. While a product may look great you should pay a lot of attention to the flow rate, a higher flowing tap will make less noise with less back pressure etc.Older mode... Read more
