Never had a problem
I have bought a few cars from Pickles over the last 15 years from all over Aust. Never had a problem. Buying online will aleays be a gamble. Thats why the cars are cheap. If you want a warranty, buy from a dealer. Im happy.

I have investigated your transaction and can conclude that there is nothing I can actually do as we have not been remiss in our obligations in relation to your transaction. There simply seems to be a lack of clarity and understanding of the Auction process, what we do (and don't do) as part of that process, and your obligations and responsibilities as a buyer. The note in the Condition Report stated that the engine 'Requires Attention, Misfire Evident'. This 'Misfire" would have been evident during the booking-in process and we would have included this comment in the Condition Report to make buyers aware there was some issue. The comment was to highlight the symptom (Misfire), not the cause. We would not have known the cause of the misfire, nor any issue with the Turbo (or any other mechanical items) as we don't undertake mechanical inspections or test drives as part of the lotting process for vehicles sold at Auction. T&Cs Clause 18. (a) The Purchaser acknowledges that: (i) the Auctioneer is unable to, and does not carry out an inspection of the Lots offered for sale; Auction assets are sold on an 'As is, Where is' basis. T&Cs: Clause 3. (c) All Lots are bid on and purchased on an as is, where is basis. Issues arising from an asset condition not meeting buyers expectation can be avoided by inspecting the asset prior to purchasing. T&Cs Clause 18. (a) The Purchaser acknowledges that: (iv) it must satisfy itself as to the condition, description and state of repair of the Lot prior to the Auction Sale; I understand that you did not inspect the asset before bidding on it? In regards to your comment about 'Salvage Car', the car in question was not classified as Salvage as it was not a 'Written Off or Repairable Write-Off' vehicle nor was it part of an insurance claim. I realise that this may be an unsatisfactory outcome for you, and for that I am sorry. It is always our intention that all customers have a good (if not great) experience when using our service. Scammers... truck that was sold should be in salvage not buy it now
Bought a truck from pickles on buy it now so NOT ON AUCTION and didnt even make it home,, gearbox failed, clutch failed, air compressor failed, engine had hole in the piston all this 60km from pickles yard..
Came back to talk to staff,, only to be shuffled around and ignored for a good hour .... After a hour and a bit manager made an appearance and let me know that he is going to investigate but not really his problem... well he is "investigating "
For 6 weeks now, and not answering email or making any contact.
Guess I'll have to take his (pickles manager) advice and go legal.

Joke of a business - check out the story on A Current Affair last night
I bought a vehicle there some months ago and there were numerous faults not listed on the condition report that couldn't be missed when doing an inspection. I contacted Pickles to remedy the situation and they were incredibly dismissive and arrogant.
Feel free to contact A Current Affair, like I just did, with your experience if it proves to be terrible like mine was. The story comes up at about the 18 minutes mark on October 9 2022.

STAY AWAY FROM 'DIYINSPECT' APP BY PICKLES
Decided to try Pickles 'DIYinspect' App for selling a family members car for them. The car is in immaculate condition, low km for its age, top of the line model with every factory option included plus full service history and has conservative Redbook value of $22K. Their offer, $12K...I contacted them to double check as thought they must have made a typo in the email, no such mistake they were serious!!! I asked the person at Pickles if their staff who collect cars wear balaclavas, hoodies, gloves and can hotwire cars, LOL. Don't waste your time these guys are an actual joke.

The objective of DIYInspect is to provide customers with a quick and easy way to sell their car without the hassle(s) associated with selling privately. The price we offer will differ to retail or market price as we have to factor in our on-selling costs such as time and staff; system costs; detailing and storage; remarketing and auction cost. However, what you have described does sound very unusual. Therefore we would like to investigate this further for you to determine how the offer amount was derived and whether there was an error in the offer quoted, or not. False Promises - Low Value Trade In - Poor After Sales Support
Recently purchased Kia Sorento from Canberra with trade in.

BEWARE BUYING FROM PICKLES ONLINE
BUYER BEWARE!!! If you are looking to buy online from Pickles Auctions. I would give Pickles vehicle description no credibility at all. I was the successful bidder a few weeks ago on a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sport. The only note on the item was that the park brake was not working, On delivery we noticed the four wheel drive did not work and there were driveshaft bolts in the glove box, Looked under the car only to find it had no front axles, no front driveshaft, and a completely seized front differential. I have been in discussion with Pickles and ...Read more
i am told they don't perform mechanical inspections on any of there vehicles that go to Auction so basically too bad and they are not liable in any way. We have now spent $2500 on Parts and 20-30 Hours labour to resolve these issues. This piece of Junk should have been in the DAMAGED Auction Pickles. BE VERY CAREFUL BUYING ANYTHING FROM PICKLES WITHOUT PRIOR INSPECTION.2 comments

Wrong size stated
I placed a bid for a double bed online and won. I picked up the bed and when I put it up at home and surprise surprise, it's actually a queen size bed. There were also a few screws missing which I suppose can be expected. So now I have a frame I do not need and a double mattress that I purchased that is on the floor. Not so hard to actually advertise the correct size is it?

Pickles Wagga- had some difficulties with a purchase of a car but was sorted out by head office later
I brought a car from Pickles Auction yesterday, the female car manager told me that the car did not need a blue slip because it just had ran out of rego and they had a pink slip for it and I could get it registered straight away. However after I purchased it and tried to get a Green slip, I couldn't as it needed a blue slip, I rang this female car manager at Pickles Auction Wagga and she said the pink slip had just ran out and I now needed a blue slip at my cost if I wanted to register the car. However, I made a complaint to head office of Pickles NSW and the head office staff offer a fair solution to the issue.

Very poor communication between Finance Section and the Cashier Department. They canceled the transaction on me as it fell outside the parameters of given time frame. I walked in prepared to pay directly via bank check after I was notified, this was also after the broker had requested me to hand over to a third party software all my bank statements which required me to give them access to my Internet banking Login Username & PASSWORD (breach of confidentiality)??? and the car was gone? Worst experience ever, Horrific negligence, Zero accountability.
Test drove Car, Was in perfect condition near new as described.
Purchased and on date of pick up battery was dead. Staff at Pickles attempted to jump start the car and in doing so caused significant electrical damage. Staff advised the car was still safe to drive and just needed a simple computer reset to remedy.

entire computer had been burnt out and as a result, The car had no ABS brakes, No airbags, No handbrake, No traction control, Nothing! Pickles took zero responsibility and just hand-balled us to a insurance/warranty provider. Neither pickles nor the warranty provider would accept any responsibility. Only option we had been given was to get the damage repaired under warranty. A process which took a considerably long time, during which we had to constantly juggle taxis and hire cars at our own expense for nearly 4 weeks. During the whole course of the repair the only person who would give us updates or return or emails/calls was the mechanic. Pickles and the Warranty company just didn't show a single shred of empathy or concern over the situation they caused. As a direct result of Pickles and the advice they gave my wife she was placed in an incredibly dangerous situation. We experienced financial hardship having to organize alternative transport. I never want any interaction with Pickles again and have been telling everyone I know about this experience.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

It’s either bad luck or deception.
Took two days for anyone to return my calls to organise freight and payment, Had it blue slipped needed all tyres replaced even after reported fair tyres, best bit is the car arrived, engine light on choking in white smoke. Not reported In condition report. (Complete mess absolutely horrible)

Oh! what an experience, bought a land rover from these scammers, condition report mentioned the tyres were fair, and there is a complete service history, got the delivery, the car was not serviced from 2 years no mobil oil, tyres were cracked all 4, took the car back, the mechanic at pickles Ray was super rude and advised the tyres are fair condition when it clearly were cracked and ripped from the centre, asked him to put that in writing which he totally rejected to do so, that was my last car i will buy from you scammers, my lawyer will serve you the notice for defaults though.

Commission-generating fake auction
Not good at all Rubbi.. is the wright world to use.
I win a bid and they said to me you did not meet the reserve price (scammers).
Auction is a bending a agreement if I win I must buy I could not walk a way and they must handle it in the same way.
I lodge a complain and if I take it to court, I will do.

Pickles CxPickles Auctions
Hi ALex,
Not sure what constitutes a 'fake auction' but we operate 'real' and 'genuine' auctions every day (save Sundays).
FYI...Reserve prices at auction are commonplace. I suggest perhaps you simply Google search "Auction Reserve" to find out more.
Most sales contracts are by definition 'non-flexible' and binding. Auction contracts tend to have no cooling-off period or allow for 'buyers remorse'.
Not sure if you have raised your complaint with us, but if you like, I'd be happy to investigate your issue to save you time, effort and cost in legal proceedings at this time. Please email any relevant details to [email protected] and I will look into your situation.

All too often we only hear from those whose expectations have not been met, so it' really nice to hear from those (the vast majority I might add) who have had a great experience with our service. Your advice re auction is sound, but of course, there are ways to mitigate the unexpected, least of which is to inspect the asset if at all possible or to familiarise oneself with the terms and conditions of Auctions. One other piece of advice I can offer relates to your comment about warranty. If you are interested in purchasing an asset with some form of warranty and confidence about the assets condition, then I would suggest you try our PicklesGO (Fixed Price) service. This is where the asset is sold at a predetermined price, and comes with the confidence of a statutory warranty (dependant on State) and will have been checked by our mechanics (not done for Auction assets). They sometimes also have the balance of a manufacturers warranty. Anyway, once again, thanks for the great sentiments and we hope to continue to provide you with a valued service. Regards, Pickles Cx
