Great tyres

published

They are a bit more noisy than the standard dunlops on the prado but definitely a tuff looking tyre. Running them at 42psi to get maximum wear. Done close to 20,000km and they still look like new. I should get 70k plus from this set.
I paid 220 per tyre from Jax and got a free coffee machine. Just as good as $310 BFGs.

Purchased in June 2021 at JAX Tyres for $220.00.

Pirelli Scorpion AT Plus - Excellent Tyres

published

I bought the AT Plus back in July 2018. Done 40 K on them in all conditions. Beaten the crap out of them in the Victorian Highlands and they never missed a beat. Wet road handling is excellent compared to the OEM tyres. They were terrible. Can't fault them.

Great Tyre for 80/20 Use on my Pajero

published

Upgraded from Pirelli Scorpion ATR to ATR Plus for better grip off road. The ATR Plus are as faultless on sealed roads as where the previous ATR model. The more aggressive tread pattern has enhanced off road capability without compromising on road performance.

Purchased in November 2021 at Tyresales.com.au for $220.00.

Disappointingly noisy after 10,000kms.

published

The tyres upon fitting were nearly as quiet as the Michelin Latitude Tour HP that they were replacing. Had been looking for some time for a high quality more aggressive tyre and this seemed to meet the brief. They have performed admirably having towed a 2.5 tonne caravan through Central Australia in many varied conditions. However after the initial quiet they have moved to being a constant hum especially on smooth surfaces. Disappointed about that but that is the only apparent downside. Jeep Grand Cherokee with 265 60 R18 tyres.

Purchased in April 2021 at Mycar (Kmart Tyre & Auto Service) for $290.00.

I love these tyres, they are confidence inspiring!

published

I love these tyres, they have heaps of dry and wet grip, I had the OEM Dunlop AT22 tyres on my Ranger before and they were horribly dangerous in wet weather, dry weather grip wasn't great either. I had no confidence with the Dunlop tyres at all! The Pirelli Scorpion ATR Plus are a fantastic tyre, they have a very aggressive tread pattern but are very quiet and comfortable, they have heaps of wet and dry road grip, they also have great grip on dirt and gravel roads, I am very happy and confident that the Pirelli tyres are gripping the road in all conditions. I would recommend these tyres to everyone.

Purchased in June 2021 at Highway Tyres for $255.00.

Amazing Pirelli's

published

I walked into the tyre shop needing a new set of tyres for the Amarok, these new Pirelli Scorpion AT Plus just stood out! WOW these new tyres looked bloody unreal. So got a pretty good deal from the tyre joint and had 5 fitted. We then did a 4 week Queensland outback trip, we went "off road" we wanted dirt, rocks, sand, anything but the tarmac!! WOW is an understatement, these tyres were so good off road, they were punished! Then back on the bitumen they are quiet, no road noise at all, heaps of grip and confidence in the dry and importantly in the wet!
We have done about 30,000k on these tyres now and they still look like the day we had them fitted!

Purchased in September 2021 for $1,000.00.

I have a 2012 Nissan X Trail with 225/60R17 tyres that need replacing. If I opt for the Scorpion AT+ in 225/65R17 how much do you think that will affect 1: Acceleration? 2: Odometer readings? Not much into the ATR's as have heard bad reviews re them breaking up/puncturing etc. Thanks...Tony

I went from 225/60r17 Bridgestone Dueler SP to Pirelli 225/65r17 Pirelli Scorpion AT Plus on a 2022 Forester. Every aspect of the cars on road handling has improved noticeably and improved markedly on trails. Grip on steep rocky trails is brilliant. Fuel economy is marginally down and road noise marginally up, neither is an issue when compared to the benefits this tyre has provided. The tyre makes the Forester look like it SHOULD look. The speedo reading should more accurately reflect the actual speed because of the greater circumference of the larger tyre. Another advantage is that the AT+ is only a couple of pounds heavier than a road tyre of the same size unlike the BFG AT tyres that are up to 10 pounds heavier than their equivilant road tyres.

Hi,

Tyres needed replacing...did that 6 weeks ago.
