Disappointing Service, Disappointing Food
Twice in a row I’ve ordered delivery pizzas from Pizza Capers Arana Hills through Menulog and both orders have gone terribly wrong.
The first order was 30 minutes late and cold and soggy when it arrived. I only received my order after having to ring and chase the restaurant.
I tried again today and this order was 20 minutes late and only arrived after I had to phone and chase them again. I was told the reason for it being late was they had an issue with the Hot Apple Crunch pizza I ordered. What I received was NOT the Hot Apple Crunch pizza...Read more
as described on their website. It was simply an Apple pizza. There was no mouth-watering crumble found anywhere on that pizza or the promised custard and definitely was not drizzled with salted caramel sauce. I had to say I am not liking this Apple pizza and in fact will be putting it in the bin.......which is all it deserves. Bad service on both occasions, not to mention bad food from both orders.........safe to say i will not be ordering Pizza Capers food ever again. Disappointing because the a Pizza Caper brand used to be a fantastic brand.......but not anymore !!!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Disappointed
I ordered several dishes last night in Maroochydore.
The disappointing one was the chicken and pesto pasta. Not fresh and definitely
not real chicken but the look, texture and taste of a cheap reconstituted chicken
loaf! Flavourless and yuk!

Small and over priced.
Tonight is the first time I had got a pizza from Pizza Capers at Regents Park Qld, normally we order in from Dominos, which is inline with most fast food products, and ok for the kids, any true pizza connoisseur wouldn't touch one, but after seeing one of Pizza Capers pizzas, I found them to be small and over priced in comparison with Dominos.
This is the first Pizza Capers pizza I've bought, and certainly the last, if I'm to buy a poor quality pizza, I'm definitely not going to pay a premium price for it.

Worst Pizza
Pizza Capers has been good quality and taste in the past, but tonights meal was a complete waste of money.
1. GF base was so dry and hard it was like eating the worlds hardest cardboard.
2. Toppings were extremely sparse and overcooked. Definitely not worth $21 per pizza!
3. One of the pizzas was missing a main ingredient. Not a single piece of avocado on the Buffalo Chicken pizza.
Extremely disappointed.

Disgusting!! Its going in the bin!!!
I eat a lot of pizzas from a lot of places. It's been years since I've eaten pizza capers. As they have been consistently horrible. I decided to give them another go... I've decided to throw the pizza in the bin after struggling through two pieces. The box left a greasy patch almost the full size of the box on my bench. Lucky I didn't put it on my couch. Horrible pizza.

Staff make the store - Kallangur
Always have been a pizza capers fan but tonight the staff far exceeded my expectations of the above and beyond. I wasnt aware the store had already closed by 9pm however although arriving 10mins after this. the team still took my order and were also genuinely positive on the process to make it feel like I wasnt a burden. Kallangur store - 5 stars guys. will try not to make that lateness a habit but the extra care in your job definitely goes a long way in my books

Wow... I ate about 1/4 whilst consistently looking for meat. Then it went in the bin. Lots of big chunks of tomato though.. never again! Should have flushed my $20 down the loo

Never again
I just ordered a Reef n' Beef and bottle of Coke. The driver gave my Coke to the previous delivery's recipient, and my pizza had one tiny little prawn on the entire thing. It's so bad it's actually kinda funny.

Threw it in the bin
Absolutely revolting, bought 2 pizzas for $40 - 7 inch pizzas in 12 inch boxes that taste disgusting, and I mean disgusting, what even is that base, glue? I'm sick of what's happening to this country, Un-Australian service. They look look like they have been sitting in a bin, and that's where I put them.
I've decided to abandoned buying from chains all together, anyone can cook better than this.
I feel sorry for the staff who are forced to make this garbage. They must feel ashamed.

Used to be great - Now HORRIBLE !!!
This used to be a great pizza and pasta shop, they charge a bit more than the competition, but the premium food and service was worth paying extra.
BUT, something seems to have changed !!!.
The delivery service costs more than most others, yet they rang me from my driveway and told me to come downstairs to get my order.
The food was terrible, lacking ingredients that were supposed to be included, and some of it was burned on top - barely edible.
Will never order from here again !!!.

Tasteless, in more ways than one.
Ordered from the Miranda store. BBQ Chicken Pizza tasted like cardboard (actually, that's a lie, I am sure the cardboard box it came in has more flavour and a better texture!.
Then I posted on Twitter my dissatisfaction (tagging them in it). No response to me, however responding to other customers.
Based on their level of ignorance and poor quality product, my last experience was the first and last time I'll deal with them.
As requested, I private messaged them my contact number, which for some reason, their customer service team and "Business Development Manager" can't seem to call (8 days after the incident)
Each time I ask for a time frame on "soon" they dodge the question.

Scamming Online Customers
Ordered pizza from online site. An hour later, no pizza. I rang the store, no answer. Rang ten times between 4 - 9 pm (advertised opening hours). I rang a local pizza shop and re-ordered. Turns out the Pizza Capers store in my area was closed permanently and the national website is still taking orders - and people's money. I tried to find a number for Pizza Capers customer service - there isn't one. Sent an email - still no reply (2 days) . Meanwhile I'm out $35.00,. This is not how to run a business. Very, very disappointed.

Ripped Off
Very disappointed to order last night – 2 small pizzas and garlic bread for $42.85 only to get to the store to be confronted by a big sign saying
2 LARGE pizzas garlic bread AND a drink for $39.95? | when I questioned the cashier she told me that deal was NOT available online!!!
honestly leaves a very bad customer service taste in the mouth and won’t be rushing back despite the food being ok
would not go again!

This was a huge disappointment
We ordered a half/half classic pizza, chicken karage and two different flat breads from the Ashmore pizza capers. It took over an hour for the pizza to arrive and it was by far the worst we’ve ever had. The crust was soggy and the toppings were poor quality. For over $20 a pizza we were shocked. The chicken karage was laughable and tasted terrible. We could not eat any of it. I highly recommend never eating here.

Worst food poisoning ever experienced.
Within 3hrs of eating there chicken pizza and not having anything for at least 7hrs before i ended up with the worst food poisoning i have ever experienced. Cold sweats and shivering with body pains all over. After calling them to let them know, there response was many lies and that it definitely didnt happen there. Without and questions of and duty of care. After questioning them about there food handling knowledge there responses were, i dont know! They were at the time preparing food without proper attire.
Still very dehydrated and unwell.
Discusted. We will be calling the head office.

Terrible pizza, totally gone downhill in last few years
I really really want to support Australian businesses and not resort to American chains but I think it's going to have to be Dominos for our pizza next time. Pizza Capers quality and taste has been getting worse and worse. Last night's order was close to inedible. It was soggy even though we asked for it extra crispy, there were toppings missing and it was tasteless. Sorry Pizza Capers, we're not trying again. And, actually, I just looked it up and they are owned by Retail Food Group who treat their franchisees horribly, so no guilt (other than for the poor franchise owner).

Why is Pizza Capers so good or bad?
1 answer
Like most franchise based models they are overseen and manipulated by major holding companies (Retail Food Group) that heavily gouge franchisees with costs often resulting in poor quality service, quality control, staff and ultimately products to the consumers. You only have to look a their portfolio of failing/'ed chains (ie Brumby's, Crust, Michel's etc.) to see which direction PC's will ultimately end up up....SOUTH!
