I was new to the site.
I had a few matches and wanted to chat live.
I was requested to have an age check that requested a credit card check for free.
This charged me nearly $80 and then did not work.
Two days later I logged back in and my password was rejected. I reset the password.
I logged in to the site only to be connected to someone else’s account.
This is a disgrace. How can a supposedly reputable site have such poor security.

Once you sign up for a time frame you can't stop them taking your money! I have found this site to be pretty much a waste of time and money. I thought that because I was paying monthly I could unsubscribe and have the direct debits stopped but no!

There are many fakes photos and IDs, specially women /girls photos
They are all scams compare to others applications
Asking for money/credit cards/ and upgrades to full accounts
Keep getting scam msg and emails

My Account was hacked and POF were useless, PayPal refunded my sign up subscription but then paid over the monthly recurring subscription which POF diverted to another Clients Account. A refund is now pending. POF are a totally unprofessional and unethical outfit.

Joined POF January 2022. Had quite a few dates, some cat fishing, some weirdos. Met some nice guys. Joined e harmony as told better quality of men ( biggest scam ever!) went back to POF and met my fella! Been together 6 months now and couldn't be happier! There are fish out there just need to be patient and throw a few back in the meantime.

You will spend an hour filling up lengthy stupid questionnaires and then few hours later your profile is deleted for no obvious reason. They are just collecting information for marketing companies. Stay away from them!

Do not pay any money to them ! Tried to buy $8.95 package of 5 stamps and then found my account had $81.40 plus the $8.95 taken out for 12 months subscription which i didnt ask for..

Most of the profiles are fake.
The filter/settings don't work so 95% of the profiles that do exist are from people out of state. I emailed POF customer support telling them that this was useless as the people who were contacting me might as well live in a totally different country due to the distances involved. Customer support replied saying that they had changed things their end so it would not happen anymore - nothing had changed.
They also make it incredibly hard to cancel your subscription. I had to visit my bank to ensure they did not take any further payments.
Avoid this site please - they just want your money and don't provide a service!

Pof in Australia is always playing up..can't edit profile..10 times a date asks to rate it..and during a chat, which is demonstrating how desperate pof management is..99% of all women's profile are so old,they don't respond . And the others are fakes..

This terrible site allows members to block you after 1 message being sent?The amount of scammers,stalkers,hookers and judgemental people on POF is ridiculous.They take 1 look and block for no reason.The same show pony Instagram woman from 1 year ago are rife on this site and are just there to show off and not date at all and string guys along.There customer service is terrible with auto generated responses.Unless your a paid member its a useless site.

What a piece of crap site. 10 mins joining, 15 fake scamming people messaging from all over the world except where I live. PoF Admins just scamming customers out of good hard earned money. Being reported to the appropriate Consumer affairs...

90% of profiles are fake. Don't waste your precious time or money. The site does nothing to reduce the number of fake profiles and scammers. And the quality of the actual real people on here is not very high at all.

The site is a scam with false profiles and people pushing you into apps you don't need example as above could not be connected and each time the site sent me to another site I responded to admin with the outcome being " you have done something wrong" after a couple of goes at this and adding my bank card details I got notification that I had joined another site. My card was declined on Pof site so they asked for another card. I told them there was no other card and since then I have not deem able to log into the site I relieve this site is a scam.

I met my fiance and father to my son on POF. I didn't expect to find anything real on there as had a lot of men message me and just wanting nothing more then a hook up...just when I was about to give up on POF I got his message...very upfront and different to the rest..rest is history. Maybe I was just very lucky by reading all these bad reviews.

Online dating in 2020 is dead. unless you’re a dead set gorgeous spunk girls won’t respond to any messages so don’t waste your time. Go and live in the real world

I’ve found the site quite legit with contact with a few real members. The fake ones are easy to spot and they’re rarer than some reviewers make out, if you’re dumb enough to follow a profile with obvious doctored photos or they indeed look way too good above the average woman you deserve to be fleeced. And don’t be hurt because you couldn’t get your end wet lol that’s not how the real world works. And don’t get mad if women are not replying you get that every where, if they’re fussy it’s not your problem it’s theirs. Unless you are a sleaze which most times is correct.

I tried this site out of desperation, as most probably would. Within half an hour the scammers started bombarding me. Always typed in broken english and then, the punch line......."do you have skype?" Absolutely disgraceful how this site allows these scams. Don't even bother.

Hi I used the site for two months and was chatting to a lady for one month on it and then all of a sudden she disappeared and then the site kept telling me my my profile needed upgrading. Not sure if she left or the site blocked our msgs to get money
