I have newly tiled my pool. My Hy-Clor Mk2 worked adequately on the old marble sheen surface ( abit of the usual tracking) but does not consistently move forward on the new tiles even though it is pulsating healthily. Also it does not seem to be sitting consistnetly flat on the bottom of the pool. Any suggestions?
Is there a larger bump ring available to replace the 330 one supplied as standard? I have a small pool with square corners and the cleaner gets s=tuck in the corners. I suspect a bigger diameter bump ring may be the solution? Thanke Rich
Make sure your hose is the right length. Rule being that the house needs to be one meter longer than the pool. I have also had more success with continuous hose rather than the 1 meter sectional hose ...
Read moresystem supplied with the cleaner. For a small square pool with hard corners you could also try reducing the one additional meter .I have a Hy-clor Poseidon MK2 Automatic, I'm finding it won't go up the walls.
I didn't have the poseidon model Kathy. If you call their customer service their tech help is great, but customer service poor
where to buy flow regulat for pool vacuum
How do you fit the hose weight?
I bought a Hy-Clor Poseidon MK2 Pool cleaner about 10 months, and it hasn't started for the last 2 months. Cause air is coming out of where the ball bearings near the top of the cleaner. So what should I do?
the vaccum is making its way around the pool and has plenty of suction, but while it is working the skimmer basket vessel next to the pump and the salt cell vessel lose water through them. When vaccum is not attached they fill up again. Skimmer basket o ring seems intact have applied silicon with no effect. Can you make suggestions?
How do I prevent it becoming stuck in corner?Brand new, hammer works fine. Weights added. The hose is approximately 1 length longer than the pool length. Filter is clean yet with the vacuum added does not achieve pressure. I have tried all spectrums of the speed control.
Simon, I never had this problem but I did find that when I contacted the manufacturer they were extremely helpful.
Cliff.
Pls any help?
I'm so disappointed it's like a dead .wont move at all
Usually if it stops it's because there's something stuck in the hammer mechanism so check that first- just turn the cleaner over and if there's something there you'll see it so pull it out.

Read more problem could be not enough suction- are the hoses fitted together securely so it's not sucking air- your pump would lose prime and start to strain if this was happening; is the plate in the skimmer box sitting flush where it's suppose to - if it is you should have trouble lifting the plate off the basket in the skimmer with the filter running and you should be getting a lot of suction through the hole in the plate; is the valve on the plate in the skimmer box forcing enough suction through the hose/cleaner- check the cleaner end of the hose to make sure you're getting plenty of suction, turn the valve clockwise to increase. Might also be worth backwashing your filter if it hasn't been done for a while. How old is it? The baffle assembly can wear down over time and the baffle can be sucked tight against the top of the casing. This means it won't start on its own but if you give it a good shake, while...
Read more it's connected and the pump is running, it should start up.Hi guys, am looking at purchasing a mk2 but on the box it states not to be used if your pump and filter are over 10m away from the skimmer. Anyone had any issues with this?
I have a Poisedon Creepy Crawly and it has stopped working. Plenty of suction, no obstructions, no cracked hoses etc. It seems to stick hard in one spot on the bottom of the pool and won't move. Have taken the hammer out and cleaned out but still does not work. Pool pump is still working fine, with water still travelling through the creepy crawly. Any help?
I have experienced this problem many times. Sometimes a tiny piece of debris, such as a twig or remnant leaf gets stuck around the flap. It only takes a tiny piece to stop the machine. Also, if the mo...
Read moretor is providing too much suction the machine will fasten itself to the bottom of the pool and not move. You can adjust the flow pressure at the skimmer box . Some have a valving system, others a spring loaded flap. What ever, the secret is to get the correct suction pressure, bearing in mind the skimmer box adjustment controls the volume of water to the hose and to the filter. They must be in balance. Experiment until the machine hammers its way around the pool. I'd check for debris first by taking it out of the pool and carefully poke around the flap. When it sucks itself to the pool bottom, pull it up. If it immediately starts to work then the pressure is too strong and requires adjusting down. Hope this helps.Hi there, my cleaner only does the edges, cuts across middle then edges, same pattern. It also gets stuck in one corner. Any suggestions? Ta.
Pull it out and start again. Ensure your hoses are laid flat in the sun individually to take out any bends, remove your weights from the hose (difficult but can be done), have enough hose length to ge...
Read moret to the end only, not extra. Reassemble as per instructions (if you lost them find it on Google). Getting the weight at the right spot will fix you problem. Start at the recommended spot. Run for a day. Rest half way down or up from that spot. Run for a day. It is trial and error. If it goes about the whole pool but gets caught at the shallow end steps, remove a length. Happy New YearHello,
The position, length and flexibility of the hose sets the cleaning pattern the device will take.
The hose should be long enough so it allows the cleaner full range. To measure the correct le...
How do I stop it from getting stuck in the corners for hours ? pump start does one up and down and then gets stuck in the corner until you go and move it and does the same over again !
I'm not sure sorry. My pool is curved all around. The only places it doesn't reach are the two top steps.
Hi Everyone,
Been reading the review son this cleaner and day 2 ours is working fine, however the noise is loud. I'm sitting at the front of the house and the pool is out the back and I can hear it start up and go. I'm sure this will annoy our neighbours, is there any way to reduce the noise please?
I bought Poseidon pool cleaner few months back, tried each and every trick but the cleaner won't work, replaced valves, elbows etc. looks I wasted my money. Can someone please help?
Have you adjusted the control valve - some thimes that helps or if the pump is not strong enough - ie when my filter gets dirty the suction is not enough to get it going, so you need at least a 1hp pu...
Read moremp working at full strength. Even with that the cleaner doesn't always work, but then for no apparent reason will just start working again.Does anyone know why mine doesnt go up to the shallow end of my pool? Drives me crazy. Thanks in advance.
I find it is very susceptible to the flow from the water return to the pool - especially if you have an above ground pool. Mine won't make it to the far end of the pool as the hose keeps getting swep...
Read moret away by the inflow at the same end as the skimmer box. If that is the case try to redirect the flow, or somehow reduce its strength. Cheers, GeoffI have a slider vac. It sucks well but only goes around the edge of the pool. Any help?
Mine spends more time on the walls than I'd like even with the flow control valve at its lowest setting. I'm guessing here but I think that the more water that bypasses the Slider Vac head, the less i...
Read moret should be sucking and less able to support its weight up the walls. Have you tried changing the setting on the flow control valve? How to stop it spending too much time on the walls and, keeping it from only cleaning the edges etc, is to correct (usually shorten) the hose length.
1. Connect one end at skimmer box
2. take other ...
I don't know where to connect the hose weight flow control valve can you send a picture diagram so I can see?
Hello rose. Do you mean where the hose weight AND the flow control valve go? (They don't go together).
I put the weight in about the middle of the first section of hose from the unit. I.e the closes...
As above, works with or without the flow control valve, I had the hose weight ring slid on the first sectoin of hose, approx 12 inches from where the hose joins to the poseidon unit
I returned mine in the end, it was hopeless as most the reviews say, got the bit more expensive one from bunnings, its ok but nowhere near as good as the old Kreepy. Dont loose your receipt in case your not satisfied
Morning All,
Can someone out there help me with my Poseidon pool cleaner. I hook it up, sucks like you wouldn't believe for 1-2 min the slows right down and then will stop. has this happened to anyone?
Check 2 things first. Check everywhere for a possible blockage and then check everywhere for an air leak. Also try a 3 minute backwash to get the pump reservoir full to the top.
My Poseidon pool cleaner that I bought at Bunnings no longer hammers or travels around the pool on initial start up.You have to manually move the mouth for it to start & it still wont move around the pool ?
Chris unscrew the small base plate that goes over the plastic hammer and insert a washer beneath the plate where it screws in. This will give you extra clearance for the hammer.
Sometimes the hammer...
That is a great advice. I put a washer right under the screw head as it is usually placed instead of beneath the plate and my 15month old Bunnings Poseidon started pulsating again!!
