They are easy to install if you have a bit of ability. The annual cartridge change is $50.00 plus post and the membrane is changed every 4th year and that is $75.00 plus post.

Depends on the quality of the water but it is recommended that they be changed every 12 months, once again depending on usage.
We have a twin undersink system so that's a pre filter and the water filter. For a family of four heavily reliant on filtered water we are averaging about 9 months for the filters in Melbourne's eastern suburbs. Totally depends on supply quality and also if there is any water main replacement going on in your area as this tends to lead to the supply being dirtier than normal.

All carbon filters will remove copper for a very short period usually about 100 litres so be careful of any system stating copper removal unless it is a reverse osmosis or a distiller.

Ours has been installed for over a year and flow hasn't changed. You should be changing the filters annually anyway so if flow reduced due to particle build up, that should fix it.

Typically the treatment rate will be around 3.8lpm and will slow over time when cartridges become blocked. These cartridges are recommended to be replaced every 12 months or when blocked.

I've had it for 2 years and it has worked without fault. Does exactly what's required as long as you change the filters as recommended.
I love it, works flawlessly, and the kids love drinking "Special Water" even when offered soft drink. Both my wife and I fill up water bottles before heading off to work, the Chiller was a little extra but well worth it.
I bought 2 sets of spare filters but have not had the need to change them yet after 18 months, could not be happier.

I did it myself, however I am fairly handy. I did make one mistake in my order, not enough pipe so had to go to Bunnings and buy some more, however this was no big deal, just make sure you order enough pipe then add in a spare meter or two.
I guess any plumber could do it, mind you that could cost a bit, if you give them a call and explain what you are after they may just give you a price over the phone. It took me a couple of hours but I also put in a chiller, and as I said had to go to Bunnings half way through the job.
