why would you want to switch to them.... I only owed them $700/ and was disconnected. Yes, I fell back with my payments, but I have a good reason " I had no money ". and now.... no electricity. I called them and was told that if I can pay half at the time of call they can put in the request for re connection which will take any time between 24 - 48hrs and the full balance must be paid the next day. Since i was still struggling financially I asked if I pay the requested half now can the balance please be made $100 a week (next 3 weeks) to which she said, I will have to put you through to the supervisor. When the supervisor came on she just rudely said, as they have been patient for the last few months I have only ONE option and that is to pay the full amount to get re connection done.
Even though I explained that the lady before offered to take only half to get reconnection she insisted that I now have to pay pretty much the full amount. got nowhere with my begging and she just said " ïf you dont want to pay then i am just going to end the call" - and so she did. By the way almost 5 yrs of service and i have never let bills get to this. this is loyalty.
There is NO care anymore.. its all about the money.
anyway, guess other retailers must be same. but i doubt they will disconnect for just $700 (that actually included the bill due end of this month too)

I am currently dealing with Q Energy sale. I have smart meters called Centurian according to the sales person that Q energy are not yet contracted to. I am trying to find out what smart meters your are able to connect with so I can swap over to you?

1 answer
QEnergy
Lauren W.QEnergy

Hi Garry,

I believe you will have a COMMS4 meter with the MDP Centurion. The MDP, Meter Data Provider is responsible for providing the data from your meter to the retailer. As you have been advised we do not have an agreement in place currently with Centurion and as such we would be unable to receive the data needed to issue you an invoice for your usage.

QEnergy can arrange for this to be changed to a MDP that we do have an agreement with, however there would be an upfront cost applied to your first invoice of around $1000, to change the MDP.

If you would care to send an email through to [email protected] with the above question, we would be happy to look into this further. It may well be a cheaper option to look at the meter assigned to your property and assess if this is the right meter for your needs, rather than change the MDP.

Thank you!

I am a single person moving into my new home at 13/22A Kirkwood Road Tweed Heads South 2486
I need to get connected on 26 Sep.
What are the costs eg. connecting fee, kwh and any other fees on a month to month plan. I don't want to be locked in for 12 or 24 month. What discounts apply?

1 answer
QEnergy
Lauren W.QEnergy

Hi Felix,

Thanks for your enquiry. Based on your supply address you are eligible for our 24% guaranteed discount Flexi Home plan.

Our Flexi plan (which can be found on our website at: http://www.qenergy.com.au/Electricity-Offers ) is a 24 month contract period, however if your circumstances change and you no longer wish to receive your power from QEnergy, there is no exit fee to end the term early. There are no other month to month fees associated with this product other than paying for your power usage. Also if you wish to pay via credit card, there are no merchant service fees to do so.

For our rates on this plan, please visit our website on the link above and look for the Essential-Flexi-Home-24 link, these are the current rates that would apply, please note these rates are inclusive of a 24% guaranteed discount.

If you require a connection for the 26th September, Monday 25th prior to lunchtime 12pm would be the latest we would need to ensure the network have time to arrange a power connection if the site is currently de-energised.

If we process a standard connection, there is no connection fee, QEnergy absorb that cost for our customers. If we need to raise a connection for out of hours, the network may charge a fee which QEnergy would pass through to yourself.

I hope this answers all your questions, if you require further information don’t hesitate to contact us on 1300 QENERGY (1300 44 85 35)

All the best with the move,
Thanks

Lauren

Why your price fact sheets on www.energymadeeasy.gov.au for all your contracts show zero exit fees, while in your PDS http://www.qenergy.com.au/flux-content/qenergy/pdf/monthly-market-contract-terms-and-conditions--direct-debit.pdf it's $75 plus GST???
Also all links to your own website in this and other PDFs lead to pages that do not exist.

Hi. I'm a new tenant in residential building since 30/11 start date. My current provider I have been back and forth 4 months and still as of today to correct my account as I am being billed for business rates as my provider is sending disconnection notices I need to call every 10 days to place a hold on my acct. as they had stated I need to wait for my next billing cycle to be posted then call to make adjustment to residential? Hiway robbery.

My question is; when I connect with QEnergy do you call them to disconnect so I will not be out of electricity? When does your billing cycle start and finish? Regards!

Hello Peggy. My billing cycle is quarterly. I can't answer the disconnect/ connect timing question. You'll have to check with Q.Energy to try to co-ordinate that. I found them extremely efficient in leaving my old company to connect to Q.Energy when we moved in here just over two years ago

QEnergy
Lauren W.QEnergy

Hi Peggy. When you switch over to QEnergy, we will get in touch with your current retailer to inform them of your transfer--you will not be out of electricity. As regards your billing cycle, it will depend on the date you sign up with us. Please give us a call on 1300 44 85 35 so we can walk you through our services. Thank you for your interest in QEnergy and we look forward to servicing you soon.

I am considering switching from people energy to qenergy. if I were to transfer from Lumo to you, what would my average fees be? Would I have to pay a start up fee? My main reason for leaving Lumo is the fact that I pay almost $50 p/m on a property service fee when my actual usage amount is only $15 p/m (over $60 p/m with only me and my partner living in a one bedroom apartment) if you have better rates I would love to hear back from you.

1 answer
QEnergy
Michelle E.QEnergy

Hi Shayna
In order to determine what you average fees would be, we would need to analyse a copy of your most recent bill to get an understanding of your electricity usage. You can submit your bill for analysis bu visiting our website at www.qenergy.com.au . There is no start up fee with QEnergy however you may be required to pay an early termination fee with Lumo so we would recommend you check the details of your current agreement with them. Please note that QEnergy specialises in providing electricity to Small Businesses and if you are a residential customer our rates may not be competitive when compared to those of other electricity retailers.

Hi

we were etting abt $170 plus per quarter now we are lucky to get $39 we only have a 1.5kw .
what deal can you offer us?

kind regards Sharon

1 answer
QEnergy
Michelle E.QEnergy

Hi Sharon, without specific details in relation to your network and tariff it’s very hard to give you an indication on what deal we could offer you. However if you are a residential customer or a customer residing in QLD we will not be able to better the offer you are currently receiving from Origin when it comes to solar rebates.
Should you wish to discuss further please feel free to visit our website or contact our sales team.

I'm a little concerned that a QEnergy representative has not responded to Mick here. It sends a bit of a worrying message, especially as the question was asked back in March, I am shopping around for a power provider and it does send a worrying message. Will this happen to me too?

Lauren W.QEnergy

Hi Mikey,

Thank you for checking our company profile. Your concern about a few unanswered queries is understandable. However, please note that QEnergy has made changes in our Product Review page only recently. The reason our responses were not seen was due in part to these recent changes. Rest assured that we got back to these customers and addressed their concerns accordingly. We hope that this would not give you a bad impression of QEnergy. We look forward to your response.
