Good for its price
It works well with my hair and has variety of options of heat. It is easy to use and I would recommend it to beginners. It runs smooth through my hair but needs to do it a few times to fully straighten. I also sometimes use it for easy curls and it is also good for that.

A basic straightener
It heats up reasonably well however not hot enough. It takes a long time to straighten hair compared to other purchased hair straighteners but has a good overall result after due time. Good for longer hair due to size and weight. Patience is a virtue when using this hair straightener

Had for a couple of years
Like this hair straightener, it had problems where it would turn off after ten seconds after a couple of years but was able to exchange for a new one as it was under warranty still. It has a three year warranty which is very very good!! Hair was silky and smooth aswell.

Cheap. You get what you paid for.
Purchased from MYER for a cheap price. It heats up very fast. However, I found that the straightening process wasn't very smooth and my hair would snag if I ran it through my hair too fast.
I would recommend paying premium to get a GHD that will last you years to come.

Basic
This hair straightener is good for a quick style to the hair. Honestly though, it's not the best. It has a tendency to overheat, causing over exposure to the hair which can damage it in the long run. For some reason it also tends to create more frizz than other straighteners, so if you're the type to straighten your hair on most days - opt for GHD

My perfect match
I have this model since more than one year. Straight hair, small curls, big curls, different hairstyles... I use it for everything and I have no issues with it! It was a fair price deal at that moment so 100% happy with the product.

Not a single good as the pearl
I bought this due to my cloud 9 breaking and being in for repair. I just needed something to hold me over. I had previously had the pearl which I loved until the end! So I thought for something reasonably affordable as a back up straighter I would grab the pearl again but then I seen this. I figured it is more expensive so it should be better... not the case.
It works. Does as it should but I find it a little awkward to hold for curling and quite drying on my hair.

Didn't even last a year!
I bought this straightener in October 2015 and a few months ago, it just stopped heating up. Disappointed that I paid so much money thinking I was getting a decent quality product only to have it die in less than a year! My first Remington straightener lasted more than six years and so I have always thought highly of this brand. But the quality of Remington products have been going downhill. The last two Remington straighteners I owned (including this one) didn't last beyond a year. I don't plan on buying another Remington product ever again!

Stopped working in less than 8 months
Terrible design, pulls your hair because it gets stuck in in the corners of the plates. One day after regular use it stopped working and was not able to return it even with the guarantee. Never buying from Remington again, don't, waste your money!!!

Good Product, worst customer care
The straightener performed good till the time it was working. Stopped suddenly one day after couple of months of use. Now the horror comes where Remington has out sourced the customer care department to some third party. They are not even bothered as to how to handle a warranty. they say they can't do anything.

It's buzzing- brand new and smells a little funny
The product feels fairly lightweight. It does straighten your hair and glides as I would expect any straightener. However it's buzzing on a first use. Initially put the temperature to 210 degrees. After 10 mins raised it to 235 degrees. Started buzzing until I shut it. The sound is so incredibly annoying and not acceptable for a straightener. Purchased it at Big W for $80.00. Good price but missing my GHD which broke down after 6-7 years use. Also I smell a funny smell as though the plastic is burning on the higher setting. It's not really but it smells that way. Thought I'd try a cheaper straightener. Will try the Silver Bullet Ceramic and titanium one next as be returning this one.

Love love love!
I bought this straightener to replace a VS Sassoon one I had for two years and this one is just amazing. Straightened my hair in one pass. I was amazed! My old straightener was no where this good. Will recommend to all.

Best Hair Straightener I've Owned!
This hair straightener is great!
While shopping at Myer for a new blowdryer, they had a deal where if you bought the remington silk blowdry, you'd receive the straightener for absolutely FREE! I straighten my hair about once a week, and wasn't looking for a new straightener, as I was happy with the one I previously owned. But I received the Remington Straightener with my blowdry, (which is amazing too) and I'm so pleased with this product! It straightens a piece of my hair with me only going over it 1 or 2 times, and leaves my hair feeling sof...Read more

Waste of money
I purchased this hair straightener a month ago and it was an incredible waste of $100. When heated to 200 degrees this product can't straighten my hair. It takes between 3-5 goes to get a small section of hair straight and then leaves my ends frizzy and dry. I have short - medium length thick hair and have never had difficulty straightening my hair until I purchased this product. Once I finally get my hair styled, I end up with waves around my face after less than hour. If you have thicker hair look for another product!

sappointing part of my Remington experience is when I contacted Remington they told me they don't offer a customer satisfaction guarantee... how can you not offer this basic right to your customers who can't possibly trial those products prior to purchasing? For this fact alone, I'll never buy a Remington product again and I'm advising all women out there to be cautious when considering Remington ad their brand of choice.Similar opinion? Not the one for me
I have thick long curly hair. I read all the reviews before buying this straightener. It left my hair some what straighter but it looked frizzy & would not straighten my hair within one or two pass throughs. I would not recommend this straightener for thick long curly hair.

Amazing Straightner
I bought this Straightner based on the reviews in this website, it was true!
This Straightner is amazing, light weight, turbo heat up, different heat settings (up to 240 degrees), round shape so you can use it to create wavy hairstyle as well, cost wise it was very affordable. Quality for money (five stars), in addition, it has three years warranty! Love, love, love
Thanks again for the reviews, it was very helpful.

Great product!
I bought this at myer on super sale for $99 and the sale included the ceramic hair dryer for free. Amazing product left my hair feeling super straight and soft. I was going to buy an expensive hairdresser iron but I'm so glad I Picked this one up. You can change the temperature setting and it heats up/cools down very quickly! Easy to use and compact for travel.

Another great Remington Straightener!
This is my second set of remington straighteners I have purchased and again I am really happy. The price is so good for the product (no way am I paying close to 300 dollars for GHD) and the results are great. Hair moves easily through the tongs and you only have to make one pass over hair. I like the temperature control settings as well.
Reliable, inexpensive, easy to handle

I bought premington silk straightener but some people tell me that .. the premingtonkeratin is better so what you think .. which one is better?

I'm not familiar with that product. I ended purchasing a SAS hair straightner and having owned 2 other GHD's at twice the price, it is indeed one of the best I've owned so far.

I also have thick curly hair and this made my hair incredibly frizzy. I would suggest trying another product.
