Awesome little van
Bought it new last June. Doing nearly 1000 km a week and hasn't missed a beat. Great fuel economy. Easy to drive, well thought out layout. Easier to get in and out of than Toyota more practicable space in the back than iload (being square and not rounded)
A couple of things let it down, nothing really major but . . . the wide angle lenses in the wing mirrors are fixed in place so if you aren't any taller than say 5'4" then that shouldn't be a problem, me I'm 6' and they are hopeless, bought stick on after market lenses to get decent view.

2011 model. How good is the van as mechanical?
2 answers
I’ve had no issues mechanically. Mines a 2016 model though and only done 26,000km. I was only surprised that after a 15000km service, 6000km later it ran low on oil. No sign of any leaks or evidence of smoke to suggest oil burning. Ran fine since topping up.
thanks i try to by renault trafic or master some done over 75000 km before jump to i gets need info

Can filling my Trafic with the high flow diesel pump knock out my fuel gauge?
Showing empty on digital gauge 2013 trafic

Hi Jason
I am not going to be much help without knowing the the position of the sender unit relative to the filler. I suppose it is possible to damage a sender with high fuel flow, but without knowing more about where it is positioned in the tank it is hard for me to comment. You have three possible scenarios, the sender itself is faulty, the wiring harness or connectors have an issue or the instrument cluster / gauge itself has failed. Sorry I cannot be of more help.

Just picked up my manual swb yesterday. It's a really nice van to drive. Smooth, quiet and a nice smooth changing gearbox. I'll let you know in a few months time how it compares to my previous 3 purchases of VW Transporters.
