Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen
Unneccessary interior wall paint.
Zylon Sheen is a dream. Spacecote is a nightmare! It runs, drys with an uneven finish, its sticky and wierd to apply and doesn't cover, reliably needing at least three coats. Additives and sleeve recommendations are just a ruse. Use Zylon Sheen. Its the same price and acheives the same purpose. Wattyl also do a Sunproof flat enamel which is pretty good.
Purchased in November 2020 for $45.
Never had an issue with Resene. Love it!
As a handy man and D.I.Y guy I've used Resene a number of times on jobs for myself and others and I keep coming back to it. I honestly can't understand the negative reviews on here and they certainly have not been my experience.
It goes on smooth, is very forgiving (but don't play with it too much, it doesn't like to be overworked), sticks to anything, has great coverage and finish and dries quickly. Yes it can run - like any paint when you apply too thick!
I can definitely recommend it for anyone wanting a quality product and finish.

Good but not with a few limitations
I'll start by saying I think this paint should be less expensive and I do use other brands that cost less like Valspar that are go on much the same.
On the upside Resene is easy to work with and forgiving of mistakes, it looks good too and Resene have a huge range of really nice colours.
On the downside it tends to run a little too easily and it can splatter making a mess. I consider the extensive use of drop sheets with this paint essential. In my experience not easy to get off a surface if it marks it with drops so be careful.
All in all happy with Resene as a brand and have used it many times but it could make a few changes that would help its cause in what is now a very competitive market for paint.
Purchased in December 2022 at resene for $169.
