exceeds expectations
Absolutely love the push button automatic start, quietness. It is so efficient that we run it on economy, and at time have to turn it off. We live in a very cold zone, s o have been totally blown away by its performance. Th company we dealt with were also super.

Gas Consumption
Just bought this from Harvey, and it is chewing through the gas....hard. We are on bottled LPG and the heater has used around half a bottle in a week. Is that normal?
Would like some advice on whether or not I should be using just gas or mixture of the gas and electric option?

Thanks for the question Henno, it is hard to give a definite answer on gas usage as there are so many variables at play. We have a technical help desk available on 1300 555 545 which can provide you with advise about the heater usage.

Toastie warm
I usually love the cold but we moved home and now it's freezing to the point where it actually bothers me.
We decided to take the leap and invest in a gas heater rather than electrical. Very happy that we did.
Positive:
Heating power and heat coverage: does a darn good job, warms up my open plan living area all the way into the hallway and into the bedrooms if we have forgotten to close the doors.
Convenient: portable and it has a 3m gas connection.
Versatile in modes, you can use electrical or gas to heat home and how you want it to h...Read more

Very disappointed and cold!
I purchased the heater in mid May this year (2018). The unit was used over two evenings and ran perfectly and warm. A bit smelly at first but that dissipated. The third time it was used, the unit stopped after ten or so minutes. A red light came on and Error code 12 displayed on the panel. According to the manual, this corresponded to "Incomplete combustion." Tested the unit on a second gas outlet. Same issue. Contacted the Help Line and a few days later the service technician attended and worked on the unit. He could find nothing wrong. The se...Read more

Very powerful heater but really stinks out the house with a gassy smell.
I have a huge living room and this heater does a great job of filling the space with warmth. The gassy smell that has developed over the past couple of winters is starting to worry me though. Perhaps it just needs a service but I really wish I bought a flued heater now.

Great heater
I purchased this heater 6 months ago and have been extremely happy with it. It heats up our downstairs area very quickly. The heat also travels upstairs well and heats that area too. My only complaint would be that it does not have a fan setting which enables you to turn the fan down slightly. This isn't too much of a problem though and we have positioned it in an area where the air is not blowing toward the lounge area. Other than that it is a great heater and works well.

Looove this heater
What a workhorse, I just love this heater. Yes it wasn't cheap, as gas heaters arnt, however it does a great job.
It heats our open plan house downstairs well and even the upstairs gets warmer, and it works fast. I love the kids lock on it. I like the idea of the timer settings but haven't used them. So handy to have a remote, but lost it- damn! All in all this has been a great investment that I expect to have for many years.

Outstanding product
What a powerful heater. Our house is quite huge and we have little kids so it was so difficult to warm up the house in winter but since we bought this heater it’s so easy to warm up the house. I am so so happy with this product and highly recommend to others.

Very noisy.
I purchased this heater last winter and I couldn't use it properly, its fan is very noisy cant handle seat next to it in the room, every time I need to use it, I have to turn it on and wait for the room to get hot then turn it off and continue with the electrical heater, because I tried to return it, they refuse to return it because i opened it, so I stuck with it

Cheap alternative to electricty
Purchased the heater to warm our family room instead of using the ducted reverse cycle air conditioner. Warms the room up a lot quicker and is so much cheaper to run. Highly recommend this heater if you are just wanting to heat the main room you use. It is not suitable to heat the house but then it doesn't claim to.

Keep away the winter chills
Great heater keeps me warm from the winter chills special in the morning. I wold recommend buying two, one for the kitchen area and other in the lounge. Cheaper to run that electricity. Only down side it can give off a gas smell. Need to top up LGP bottles. Every year.

Very useful for summer
It does really good jog in winter warming up the entire area. I have a 80 square meter area and it does the work. Only the problem is when it is switched off still cool breeze blows for a while. I guess it has to be overcome by looking the manual thoroughly.

Great little heater
We have 3.1 metre ceilings and a large expanse of tiled floor, and this is all the heating we need in winter. It's a great product very reliable and quiet. Would definitely recommend. While we are yet to use the timer that option is available so you can time it to come home to a cosy room. It cuts off once reaches the desired temperature and is extremely economical to run

Perfect for our space
Great on saving power, heats the room straight away and we never have it on full temp as it works wonderfully. I highly recommend this heater. It heats the whole living, dining and bedroom area which is great as we spend less on heating and don't have to take up a lot of space with a split system or multiple heaters. Plus the gas (as it is is very fantastic, hardly using any gas) bill is surprising low.

Heats 2 bedroom apartment beautifully
Purchased 12 months ago. Heats up well and throughout the 76 sq m apartment. It heats up to your desired temperature with the fan then the fan turns off when temperature has reached. The timers are great to start up before you get out of bed. Completely satisfied with this purchase and would recommend . Don't forget to clean filters regularly.

Powerful, quiet and hot!
This is an excellent heater. We have a mid-large sized combined kitchen/dining/living area and it heats up in minutes. Pointing the heater into the hallway and we can heat up three very cold bedrooms quickly. Point the heater up the stairs and we can heat up 70%+ of the upstairs within 10 minutes. Basically we can heat the entire 6 bedroom house with this one unit.
We bought the 25 plus for the extra cold mornings and nights, but to be honest, turning the electric element on in addition to the gas is overkill. Too warm!
100% would recommend to anyone needing a gas heater. Costs a fair bit but more than worth it.

Warm and Toasty
So glad we purchased this product.
We recently moved into a new house that had connected LPG gas.
We researched a range of heaters including electric and gas and decided on the Rinnai Avenger 25.
It heats up quickly and has an easy to use timer that means it comes on in the morning and before we get home at night ensuring we have a warm house.
It also comes with great safety features which gives you peace of mind

Reliable, economical.
We have had this model in our lounge/family room for several years and it just keeps on working perfectly!
Every winter we just turn it on and enjoy quiet heating with accurate heat sensing.
Safe for families with young ones.
Easy to clean the smooth surface. I just vacuum clean the back filters once or twice a year.

It should turn off when it reaches the set temperature, perhaps a thermostat issue
