Faulty from instalation
I purchased the hot water system to replace an aging Hardies Dux system. After researching I decided on the Rinnai, it had a descent warranty, the price I was able to get was good and Rinnai have a good reputataion for quality products.
I have absolutely no issues with the installation, the plumber did a very good job.
Our problems started pretty much from the next day, we had no hot water, on checking the pilot light had gone out, the plumber who installed the system came back out to double check and they to found that the pilot light was goin...Read more
g out intermittenly and that I would be best to contact Rinnai. I was able to get in touch with Rinnai and have their service agent here in Bendigo come out and try and fix the issue. The service agent has been extremly helpfullin trying to get to the bottom of why the pilot light keeps going out. Yes for the last 4 weeks the pilot light will go out and I have to manually relight it, it sometimes it will last a few days before going out again. So far after the last fix the pilot light has stayed on, I hope that the service agent was able to permanently fix this issue. To say that I am very unhappy is being very polite and Rinnai's response to date has been somewhat lacking. Rinnai need some lessons on consumer law and not to just ignore a customer. This hot water system has a 12mth parts and labour warranty as well.
