I have recently purchased this product and I must say that I'm not disappointed at all. At first it was a little difficult to get it working but once I figured it out it was awesome. It sure does have a lots of safety locks but I guess that just makes it safer. Good product overall
Got this as a wedding gift 5 Months ago. Unfortunately, we had trouble with the machine from the start.
So loud to use! So loud, it actually made my unborn baby jump around when I used it lol. But the worst thing was it hardly processed anything, unless it was a very watery liquid! Even then, you would get chunks in the juice, etc. Worst part about it was that today when I was using it, it let off a horrible smell and started to smoke!! Had to put it outside as the burnt smell stunk out my house!! Not a great machine at all. Pretty sure I will be purchasing a different Brand Processor in the future :)
I am surprised by all the poor reviews on this product as I have had nothing but positive experiences with it. It has well and truly exceeded my expectations. I use it for a smoothie every morning with spinach, frozen banana and berries, chia and oats, and it forms a really smooth texture with no lumps at all. I am so impressed wit h the processor function. I use it for everything! I have made deliciously smooth nut butters, bliss balls, pesto, and best of all... banana iceceam made from pure frozen bananas with the best consistency! I cannot recommend this product more, as a uni student with a low budget it has made cooking healthy and exciting foods much easier.
Used it twice before it broke. When I did use it, it was SO loud and didn't chop food into small enough pieces.
Rang the company today as its still under warranty and they were so rude. Now I have to lug it all back to Target to return. I have no idea why Target is still selling this junk.

I bake daily and my food processor is probably m most used piece of kitchen equipment. I've had a Sunbeam for a few years which did a great job but the bowl cracked so I went to Target and bought the Russell Hobbs which was on special at Target. I always read the reviews here before I buy anything..except this time and I wish I had!
This food processor is beyond terrible. If I could give it no stars I would. It didn't crush biscuits properly. Half of them it ground to powder and the other half were still practically intact. It was unbe...
Read morelievably noisy and try as I might I could not get the (stupidly complicated) lid to lock into place. After my third attempt at using it and trying to lock the lid unsuccessfully for the 10th time, I threw the whole kit and caboodle back into the box and took it back to Target and asked for a refund. I cannot believe Russell Hobbs let something this bad be put on the market. Target had a Phillips food processor on special which I bought after looking at reviews here and it worked perfectly. I wish a company would make a food processor with a stainless steel bowl though (I know there is Thermomix etc, but way too expensive) as all the plastic bowls seem a little flimsy and they get a lot of stress with hard substances like nuts and biscuits etc. In any case, whatever you do, don't waste your money on this piece of junk! The worst product I have used, I cook a lot and don't like the processor at all, Doesn't chop and very loud. Very disappointing, I like all other Russell hobb products. I do not recommend this product at all. I wish I read the reviews before I brought this item.
I tried all 3 containers and not one of them could actually blend anything properly. Sounded like a lawn mower in my kitchen. I miss my old Panasonic which lasted for 10 years and I gave it a good workout with ice, frozen fruit and everyday chopping, I am kicking myself for not checking these reviews first I thought Russell Hobbs had a good reputation

There is no attachment container which means all the blades/attachments float around the cupboard just hoping to cut someone. The blender is very noisy and often requires a lot of blending to blend, even a banana smoothie requires a lot of blending. The processor component is useless. Trying to process biscuits to make a cheesecake is extremely frustrating, there are always lumps and it does not matter how long you process them for there will always be lumps. I have tried to use the grating system and just gave up. I am now in the process of trying to return it to Harris Scarf.
I upgraded from my fabulous Sunbeam because I needed something bigger.
I am kicking myself.
This is the worst appliance I have ever brought. It took me an hour to grate cabbage and carrot for coleslaw that ended up burning out the middle plastic post that holds the blade in place. It is so noisy neighbours 3 floors up can hear this piece of junk running. Very very disappointed I will never buy this brand again

It's a powerful blender (a tad noisy) but I think the parts aren't strong enough for the power. It's a shame really. The blender is quite powerful for ice etc. Comes with a big range of attachements. The one positive is that it came with a two year warranty so we'll be getting it replaced.
I purchased this processor about two months ago, while the small bowl was good, (used twice) I used the larger bowl for the first time yesterday to grate some cheese. It only grated for about I cup of cheese and then it didn't move. The spindle (?) shaft just sheared in half. completely broken. I would understand if I was grating the sole of a shoe, but cheese??? Needless to say this is my first processor and I don't think I will ever buy another. Not from this mob anyway. Hopefully I can get a full refund of this garbage.
Bought it today at Big W, didn't work. Took it back and got another one the same and it didn't work either. Are you serious? Looks like another trip back to the shops. Tried calling their help desk and guess what, got a recording saying they are unattended. Disgusted! You can keep it Russell.

it doesnt deserve the one star i am required to give it just to post this warning
it comes with a dough blade, yet is does not have a speed setting suitable for processing dough, and the clutch mechanism is not strong enough to process dough.
complete waste of money, and unable to return it now that a batch (of rather soft) dough has broken the central spindle
Terrible product - be warned won't last the distance! I used this processor probably a dozen times at most. The cog device that actually drives the various attachments wore itself out to the point of no longer driving the blender while blending pumpkin soup! The plastic fitting that the blender fits into shredded itself so that it slips continually and the blender blades will not turn. I wouldn't waste my money with this brand. Very disappointing as I thought Russell Hobbs was a quality brand. Won't be bothered looking at this brand again!

I bought this on sale at the good guys for $79.99 on sale which I thought was a good deal. On the first use I noticed that it was very loud and I could smell a slight burnt plastic smell. I used it a few times and then when I was cutting some carrots the disc stem that holds the cutting plate snapped in half. The plates are metal but the stem is plastic and not very solid which is disappointing. I contacted Russell Hobbs via email and they very quickly contacted me back to say they would supply a new stem. I'm waiting on this to arrive but I'm concerned that it would happen again.

most expensive piece of junk on the market today. I expected better and horribly let down. Thought I was getting a good product for the price. Will be getting rid of my other Russell Hobbs products too, just in case. Should of read reviews before buying this piece of junk.
It is terrible!!!!.I am extremely disappointed with this product. We bought this today set up all the things and turn it on but it did not start. Its a complete waste of time and money. We should have read the reviews before go for this. Now going to swap with another brand.
What a shame. All grated up to used the new processor to make a few things for a party. Set it up and ready to process some nuts, and the processor did not start. Tried to trouble shoot a few times with no luck. I'll be swapping for the more expensive processor.
Extremely disappointed with our food processor after the cog in the base unit that runs the blades sheared clean off when making a smoothie with blender attachment. What a complete waste of numerous attachments to landfill just for one small part - never touching Russell Hobbs again
Our processor was used approximately a dozen times at most. Other than one use of the processor to make pesto it was the blender being used to make smoothies. The cog device that actually drives the various attachments wore itself out to the point of no longer driving the blender while making a banana smoothie! This cheap piece of plastic seems to be the weak link in many of the negative reviews of this product. I figured that it must surely be a replaceable part and so I contacted Spectrum Brands (the parent company for Russell Hobbs) to ask w...
Read morehere I might find a local repairer of their products. Their reply was "Thank you for your enquiry. Unfortunately we do not repair our products, they come with a 2 year replacement warranty. If this is still within warranty period, please take this back to the place of purchase along with your receipt to have this replaced." Unfortunately, this is the only appliance in the house that I can not find the warranty for. So, for the sake of $5 worth of plastic I will be adding the entire box worth of attachments and motor to the local landfill because Russell Hobbs don't supply parts. We made the mistake of thinking that Russell Hobbs was a 'quality brand' which would sell a long lasting product. Lesson learned.- 4 reviews

It comes with many parts which is very worth of it's price but after second use the dough blade just stuck and can't be removed. It's super loud even with low speed, it's like exploring. Brought it back to Good Guys after one week, great that they able to swap another item for me.
We tried chopping carrot and sweet potato. The result was a mixture of pulverised mush and large chunks. This is an absolutely incompetent device. Our previous Mistral food processor did a superb job of producing perfectly chopped and even food - a damn shame that it broke after years of excellent service.
Avoid this piece of rubbish.

After 35 years had to replace my blender last July. Can't be happier with my RH purchase. What I used to do in batches in my old blender I can now do in one go. Also love the smaller bowl for crushing nuts etc. Has a powerful motor. Purchased at Target for $115.00. Assembling took a bit of getting used to but is now a breeze. Very Happy with my purchase.

This has to be the worst food processor I have ever had. You need a degree to put the blasted thing together. Just tried to use the small bowl and can't get it to work. Looking on net to see if there are better instructions on how to use it. Would not purchase another one.
I am totally dissatisfied with my machine. I currently have the small processor/ blender on and have cut carrots and onions into small pieces have it half full and so far it's been on for 20 minutes and still there are small bits of carrots going around! You honestly need air muffs to operate this thing. I'm absolutely disgusted. Didn't they ever trial this model and realise the small blender doesn't chop! There doesn't appear to be any pitch on the blade so no food is forced down into it.
