Rubish

published

I bought this product two days ago cooked a stew for hours it was uncooked after 8 hours had to finish it off on the oven.

Just tried a leg of lamb that's raw after 9 hours on high taking it back tomorrow shame though Russell Hobbs was a good brand but I guess they are made in China cheap and nasty

I would pay double the price for a good quality product that is built to a better standard and quality. I have a massive burn from the sides been very hot no insulation again cheap and nasty.

Rubbish product

I bought this slow cooker new, used it twice and threw it in the bin. 13 hours of slow cooking and the food was still not cooked - both times. There is someting seriously wrong with both the 'auto' and 'low' settings on this slow cooker. I will be looking at other brands from now on.

VERY disappointed.

published

Been on 8 hours isn`t anywhere near cooked, had to turn it up to high and cook for another 4 hours. compared to the Sunbeam ones we use at work there is no comparison..want to send back, a waste of money. Also find it light weight and tinny compared to others.

its well made and a great size, i like the seering on the stove if needed. the only fault i can find is l would like to cook for 24hrs, it will only let you do 10 hrs.. pork belly oull apart needed a good 24hrs, but makes a mean bone broth .

Love this slow cooker!

Always cooks evenly and perfectly. So happy with my 6 lt I'm thinking of getting the 3.5lt version as well. 6lt is perfect size for families.

Not worth having.

My Russell Hobbs slow cooker was way to slow or did not cook at all on low. On high it boiled
things and meals were too tough and dry to eat. Not worth the space it takes to store it. Gave mine away.

Dont buy

Similar to others this is just too slow to cook, i had the 3.5L version before which was great. But this larger model i have found doesnt cook! After 10'hours on automsetting meet was still raw! Not happy at all. The point of slow cooker isnput it on before work come home to delicious meal. Fail

Excellent!!!! The best kitchen accessory!!!

I don't know what people are going on about saying it doesn't cook the meat or make it tender! This is the best thing ever! Have had mine for over 5 years and it's still going strong! Tender meat and so so easy to use and clean! ;-) Love It!!!
Easy to use, great tasting tender food

Did not find this review helpful as it is based on a slow cooker purchased 5 years ago, is the current cooker the same specification and quality as 5 years ago, a review based on current model would be more helpful.

Very average

I’m with the others, it takes too long to cook and I also end up having to put it in the oven to tenderise the meat…. very disappointing! Even after eight hours of cooking time the meat is not tender and even the vegetables are still hard. Would not recommend to anyone!

Does not cook the meat so it’s tender

I've been really impressed with this appliance. I bought it because it was on special at K-mart. When I saw it I thought it might be a bit small but the size was deceptive. It cooks a decent amount of food but isn't a bulky shape. It's easy to clean and operate. The slow cooker comes with a manual that includes a recipe book. I can't wait to try all of the recipes. This appliance has changed meal tims in my household for the better.
Looks great on the kitchen countertop, affordable, cooks yummy food.
I haven't found any yet!

Sloooooow cooker

This takes twice as long to cook anything in comparison to other slow cookers I've used. I have had a soup on overnight (13 hours) on auto, and the veggies were not even slightly soft. I'm throwing mine away!!
Looks pretty and the bowl goes in the dishwasher
Takes longer to cook things.

24 hours to cook a roast, or anything really...

Used to work fairly well. Has always been quite slow to cook, but in the past year or so, I've been finding the things I used to cook all the time in it are only half done by dinner time.
Looks good, solid ceramic oval bowl. Fits pretty much anything in.
Takes literally more than 24 hours to cook something. Have to take it out and put it in the oven for 1/2 - 1 hour at the end anyway!! Defeats the purpose of a slow cooker!

This cost us around $59 and it's brilliant! I wish I had bought one earlier! Very reliable and matches our other Russell Hobbs appliances!
Absolutely brilliant! Looks stylish and got one of the highest reviews on [url censored]. Makes beautiful soups and has a handy auto feature!

Is the ceramic black pot inside oven proof? Our switch has broken so can’t use the outer part again but the big black pot could still be useful. Realise the lid handle would be no good in oven but could use tinfoil to replace.

I have got my slow cooker some years ago thru the Flyby program from Noel Leeming and enjoyed it very much. 2days ago when cooking Bone broth on Low setting, suddenly the glass cover exploded with a bang and broke into small crystal pieces. It even dropped into the cooked food which is very dangerous. I was frightened and never experienced this before. I still kept the crystal pieces. Your response to this matter is much appreciated. Thanks & regards.
