Well blow me down!
My old Masters 909 blower finally died and I needed a replacement, something not cheap, but on the other hand something not out of my price range. Came across the Ryobi RBJ254N blower for just $144. This is just the "bee's knee's" of petrol blowers. It is not that heavy, it starts first time, it is powerful enough to blow stuff away effortlessly from under the pergola to cleaning up the paths around the house. It is relatively quiet but provides plenty of oomph. For now I cannot fault this petrol blower!
Purchased in April 2021 at Bunnings Warehouse.

Ryobi can blow their own Trumpet on this one.
6mths after receiving the YardKing 4 stroke blower Vac for Xmas 2017, the consistent fortnightly acquisition of a new problem had become too much for the Yard King. With the receipt still MIA, i noticed delivery labels on the box which indicated the blower was sent to Bunnings Alexandria on Dec 17th 2017.
I was shocked when i saw the wholesaler / supplier & Manufacturer was none other than Briggs and Stratton. I had contacted Bunnings several times since xmas tho to no avail "in order to return the item you will need to provide proof of...Read more
purchase." was as far as I got. *Tip* There are Many alternative ways to support proof of purchase, right down to the staff member taking your word so dont ever give up, you often just need to speak to the right staff member. Karcher Australia will take returns when retailers wont as long as the customer provides a Statutory Declaration. Thats great customer service. Maybe the most valuable of tips is to rock up to the store 10 mins before closing, present at the service desk, where you will promptly be asked if you have the receipt to which you simply answer "no". Bunnings staff are great & fair. At 8.55pm the last thing anybody needs is a complication & I was gien clearance to go grab the one i wanted, the Ryobi 25.4cc Petrol Jet Blower oh, there was one more Q before that. BUNRep " What exactly is wrong with it? " ME "just about everything that could possibly be wrong" i reponded. Now the Ryobi Jet. I love it. My neighbors were all speechless when i walked out into the yard with it hanging from my shoulders. I have finally learnt joined the Blower or Vacuum theory and will never buy a blower vac again. Both processes 1/ restructuring the machine to Vac mode & 2/ the process of vacuuming up debris, negatively impact the machine resulting in declining performance of both the blow and vac functions and a drastic shortening of the machines life expectancy. This Ryobi was $144.99, arguably the most powerful 2stroke blower, high quality and possibly the best purchase i have ever made.
