Sensational
This is a marvellous mower - very light, very powerful, starts first time every time and, best of all, no need to drive to the petrol station to get petrol all the time: just plug it in to recharge when you've finished. One charge is more than enough for our huge lawn area. Far more environmentally friendly than old-fashioned petrol mowers, nice and quiet and cuts beautifully. The one battery can be swapped into the cordless edger to complete the job.
Light, convenient, quiet, no pollution, easy to use, cuts beautifully.
Expensive. Could only buy it at Bunnings.

Well done Ryobi
Just purchased the new 36v cordless mower... Wow... very light, easy start and the battery was very fast to fully charge.. Can't understand why some other reviewers had difficulty in removing batter from charger and mower? worked perfectly for me... Mower efficiently cut grass. Again those reviewers who complained about the mower ability, can't understand?... This mower is designed for small light mowing jobs... Do your homework... you can not expect this mower to perform well if you are asking it to mow beyond it's capacity.. I live in a duplex, what mowing I have to do this mower handles the job beautifully..... Remember......... Sources for Courses..... Thank you again Ryobi.........
Light and eazy to handle

A great machine
I have had this mower for 2 years and have never been disappointed with its performance. Through experience I know that if the grass is wet and you are really scalping the lawn then the battery will only last about 20 min, however under normal circumstances the battery life is more than adequate. I have recommended this mower to family members.
No noise, lightweight and very good for medium size yards.
Price is very steep

Excellent lawnmower - highly recommend it
This mower is very easy to use and is great for those people who find a petrol mower difficult to start and/or who want a very quiet mower but don't want an electric mower cord to get in their way. All you need to do to get it started is click the charged battery and safety plug into place (which is very easy to do), press down on the starter button and hold down the hand grip. That's it! An excellent choice for elderly people or people who find starting a petrol mower difficult. It gives an excellent cut and has more than enough charge to...Read more
cut my front and back lawns with only a quick top up charge in between, (please note newer models have batteries with more power). I would have to say that I don't believe that this would be an appropriate mower for people who have massive lawn areas or who don't maintain their lawns regularly, as cutting very long/thick grass does drain the battery faster. Having said that, I have used it on long grass before - I just used height adjustment lever to cut lawn a bit higher that day. I have a 1/4 acre block property with quite large lawn areas both front and back. I always use the mulch function as no grass cuttings to get rid of and very good for the lawn - it cuts grass up very finely and you cannot tell a catcher has not been used. Love this mower - so easy to use and looks very stylish too! Have been using this mower for over 2 years now and it hasn't skipped a beat. Reliable, very easy to use, quiet operation and looks great too None found yet - just don't expect this mower to mow vast lawn areas without needing to re-charge2 comments
2nd review update - issue turned out to be faulty charger, battery is still going strong. Fault with charger was also my own fault - my dog urinated on it ! So no issue with battery or the charging unit after all.

why do my ryobi stop working randomly
3 answers
I really have no idea I am afraid, I do not have this issue, is it because the grass catcher is getting full, plus how old is your battery, these are the only things I have heard of.
less than 1 year, is there any sensor or button on the mower, I watched a vedio but not this model which got same.problem as mine, there is a red button, but nothing on my mower.
The only time my Ryobi stops and then after a short stop can start again only to stop again is due to the battery being too low to operate try recharging your battery fully and if it contiunes your battery if its more thasn 3 years old may need replacing. Hope it helps.

Why does mower stop when battery has 2 lights on?
1 answer
I have the same issue, mower cuts out at about half battery. If I charge back up works fine again. When batteries cut out on mower they still work fine in othe Ryobi devices. I’m convinced problem lies with the mower circuitry that monitors battery voltage/ capacity.

Review update - original battery needed replacing after 2 and a half years of use and they are not cheap to replace. Hoping new one lasts a little longer. Apart from this, mower still running perfectly.
