Hello, I have the 40/B/2013 and would like to use it with my Baby Jogger City Select Lux, but the Britax - New Unity Carrier - Click & Go Receiver for that stroller only mentions the 40/A/2013. Will it work for the B too?

Hey, I’m looking at getting the icandy peach (2018 model) and on their website they say the Britax safe and sound unity capsule hasn’t been tested with the pram so you don’t know if it fits, can anyone tell me if they have tried it with the new icandy peach pram and if it is compatible?

Im keen on buying this capsule and have a strider compact pram the lady at baby bunting informed me this capsule only connects to the strider compact second lower seat it is not able to connect to the top part even with adapters is this true? Thanks

Does the handle need to be in carry position in the car or can it be in rocking position?
I find it easier to get her in and out with handle in rocking position, I rarely take the capsule off base as she's gotten bigger and heavier.
Really just want to know if it's a safety requirement as I found out some capsules state handle must be in carry position when in car

I always had to have it in the carry position, anything else took up too much space or didn't lock in properly

I'm looking for a hood for my 40/A 2013/i model. I bought the capsule second hand for $50 and it didn't come with a hood. I have asked Britax if they can sell me a hood but they say they can't sell me a hood without me purchasing the whole material replacement set which is $205. I can't justify paying 4 times the amount I paid for the capsule. Anyone have any ideas?

Can I be honest… The hood on these capsules is useless. You’re better off googling a different type of shade that will fit the capsule.

Those hoods are pointless. You don't need it! Use a muslin wrap if need. The hoods dont stay on anyway

You can no longer purchase the adapters from baby stores. You need to purchase them secondhand on Facebook or gumtree. Apparently the city select brand are trying to make people use the maxi cosy Capsule with them now. I purchased my adapters off gumtree
I am in the same situation Leah - Mummy T, do you happen to know the types/names of adapters? I purchased a Baby Jogger adapter on Facebook that fits the City Select and it says on the adapter it fits britax capsules but then the capsule seems to be missing a piece to connect. If anyone knows if there is an extra adapter part we are missing that would be fantastic!
I dont know the model but I got the one that has the square bar things that the capsule sits on and has the clip to go over the capsule to clip it in if that makes sense?

I bought the Unity Capsule 40/A/2013, date of manufacture 04-03-2015, but it doesn’t compatible with my old Sterlcraft Acclaim pram. Now I need to find an option to buy a second hand pram just to put this particular capsule on it. I didn’t find any information about compatibility of Unity with prams of different brands. I have click and go adapter p/n 2114584 but don’t know if it works with any pram.

I have bought a second hand Britax unity eclipse 2012 for my grandchild due in a week. About to get it fitted but am finding the buckle very difficult to undo. Am concerned this would be dangerous in an accident. Is it meant to be hard to undo or should I get rid of this one and buy another?

Hi Eliza, thanks for your question and congrats on the pending birth of your grandchild. To help overcome the operational issue you are experiencing with your crotch buckle, if you haven’t already done so please try to clean the crotch buckle. Firstly please take the crotch buckle out of the restraint then place the harness buckle under warm (max. 40 degrees Celsius) running water. Let the water run through the mouth of the buckle for five minutes. Engage and disengage the harness tongues and buckles several times until a strong audible click is heard when the last tongue is inserted. If you still cannot hear a strong audible click after engaging the harness tongues and Buckle, then repeat cleaning several times. For full instructional information and diagrams please take a look at your instruction manual. Please note if the harness buckle cannot be returned to its original working condition then contact our consumer support team on 1300 303 330 and we can organise for a replacement buckle to be sent to you.
