Hi, I have a Samsung A20 since last year. This morning I went to open Samsung Notes. The screen was blank, meaning Samsung Notes was not responding. First time for this problem. Obviously I have notes that are important to me, such as my Electricity Account Number, Meter box number etc. Any suggestions for problem fixing. I opened App info but nothing to help. On front screen when tapping Samsung Notes, just a pop up advising me, "Samsung Notes keeps stopping". That's it.

Hi Adam, my A20 device is up to date with latest software, but I remember downloading an update two or so days ago from who I supposed was SAMSUNG. Could I have received a virus, but if so then how come nothing else has stopped working.
How do I clear the cache and am I to do so through the SETTINGS app or the internal SAMSUNG NOTES? Thanks
Sorry, Ada

Do you live anywhere where there is moisture in the air Sandy? Maybe that is causing the moisture as opposed to water? If not then it could be a faulty A20 - maybe take it and the charger back to the store you originally bought it and see if they can help. Good luck.

I have a similar issue with my 5 month old A20. Samsung says moisture damage not covered by warranty. I have never been near water with the phone. I asked for the damaged part back to inspect for moisture, but the CS refused to send it back Why? is this a way to avoid the warranty repair? Seems like I am not the only one .Can't they coat this part with some moisture protection materials? My 6 year old Galexy 3 is still going strong never had MOISTURE Problem?

Why is it always hard to hear people talking I the phone. Seem to only pick bits and pieces of conversation. Have a lot of calls that people say I'm dropping out but I can hear them

I use the A20 for Facebook messenger and its perfect, in fact its better than a mobile reception! Maybe coverage is sketchy in your area or your particular provider doesn't work well in that area?
Ok thanks

Hi Kerry. Our devices are made to be used in Australia, however, you can still use them internationally! I would recommend inserting an Australian sim card and make a 15 minute phone call to another Australian number prior to travelling.

Should I buy a second hand Samsung galaxy s8 or a new a20/a30? Currently using a s3 but app upgrades aren't compatible to phone. I need it to take decent night photos and video but doesn't need to be perfect; getting on wifi and doing multiple things at the same time. I prefer smaller screen but performance is more important.
3 answers
Buy a new a20/30 it has all the lastest features and its a new phone, which obviously better than second hand
In all honesty I can't recommend a Samsung. I bought an A20 on 22/10/19 & on 3/11/19 it stopped working, the screen was covered with hundreds of coloured lines which shimmered, apps kept appearing with more coming on top of them, the torch turned itself on & wouldn't turn off. The "power foo" refused to work so I left it, next morning the screen was black so tried turning the phone on, had a green glow for a second or so, then black again. I contacted the seller & was promised a return call which hasn't eventuated. I may have just been unlucky as people I know swear by Samsung. I don't know if they're not suited to the tropics, I've had 3 & had to give them to relatives in the south of W.A. where they work perfectly. While it was working the phone was great, took really nice photos. I can't return the phone as the store is 1,000km from here. Don't let me put you off as I probably got the only lemon! I'll have to chase up the seller.
Thanks for the insight guys.

Is this phone suitable for seniors? Would it be too big to handle easily?
3 answers
I think it would be okay for seniors although the letters on the keyboard aren't too big so that may be a downfall but other than that I would say yes.
Thanks Stephanie. The letters are probably bigger than on my 'stupid phone' that has just died. Let's hope they are big enough.
AdaSamsung
Hi Jacqui, the A20 has a main display of 162.0mm (6.4" full rectangle). We recommend for you to head to your nearest authorised Australia retailer to view their display models if available.

I play simple games (bingo and 1 pokie game) on my old Samsung s5. it died and I don't want to pay big money for the small amount of thing I do. I don't watch movies just banking, facebook, read the news and the 2 games. Is the A20 ok with games or slow?
Julie
1 answer
It's ok to play those games Julie.
And you'll have zero issues with the rest of ur activities listed. It's a great little phone. I googled comparison with S10 and it is very similar except for the game issue and camera.
Hope that helps

Hello,
I've just purchased the A20 and is a great phone but takes 2 hours to charge and I've a very fast wall charger. My iphone charged within 1 hr. Is this normal to take this long?
4 answers
Mine did the same for the first charge. After that it;s held all day despite spotify use and emails texts etc all day.
It's the second day, but the charging thing should vanish after first charge as mentioned. If not- perhaps faulty charger or phone.
