Yep, yep, yep!
This phone is so good! I love the physical size (smaller than most) and despite the low cost, the specs are better than iPhones and I believe match those of the Galaxy S8? I've had mine for about 7 months and no issues whatsoever and there's nothing I'm not happy about. The camera is great, and it runs so smoothly. A++

Decent phone
Camera quality is okay not as great as some other phones ive had but still decent. Battery lasts forever even if im on my phone most of the day. Apps normally run okay but lately it sometimes freezes or takes a while to load or register. Good brightness and torch level

Best product!
I bought this product so my daughter could use it for her games. Im suprised how updated this version is compared to the last version. This virsion allows you to lock up files ( previous version did not ). So now my daughter can only open what i allow. The graphics are awsome! I will never go to another product. Samsung is getting better by the year.

Great Phone.. Fast and Waterproof
A big improvement on my previous Samsung (Galaxy S4). This one is fast, good memory. Great Camera, 16mp. And Waterproof.. USB C, which is easier to put connect..as there's no wrong way.. The body feels good, not too big.. nice screen feel.. and it still has the physical Home button.

Good Solid Phone for the Price
Bought this phone in the gold colour for my elderly mum recently, $448 from Officeworks, and it seems quite solid and well-functioning. She previously had a little Samsung Galaxy J1 which was a cheapy phone and when she dropped it in the toilet, yes she did, it drowned! The Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 is water resistant up to 1.5m, so in the event of any future soakings, hopefully it will survive. I kept with Samsung for my mum as she is adept at using the Samsung interface and functionality.
She says she likes the phone, although a little wide ...Read more
in her hand. Perhaps I should have gone for a more modern slim line Samsung for hand comfort. She has had troubles with phone batteries in the past with them dropping charge quickly. So far, the A5 battery seems solid. So, we'll see how it goes. At this stage I would recommend the phone to others who want a mid-priced phone.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great Phone - Does the job
My employee purchased these phones for staff.
Easy to use if you are used to Samsungs.
Basic run of the mill smart phone.
If you love your tech gadgets probably not for you.
Easy to personalise and set up
Loud notifications and call volume
Samsung pay is a good feature as long as you utilise a lock on your phone

Good phone in the mid range
Needed a replacement phone but we don't use the fancy stuff in the high end phones so we thought we'd try the A5. The battery lasts a whole day with frequent use and it charges quickly with a C type connection. Screen size excellent without being to big to carry around. Dropped it a few times and no problem (we did buy a case for it). Really happy with the camera too - clear and sharp and you can take lots of photos in quick succession.

THANK YOU NOT, SAMSUNG
Worked fine until I tried to transfer photos to my new Mac computer.
Downloaded the recommended Android File Transfer software and connected the cable.
No Go, messed around for over half a day without success.
Hugely annoying as you would expect that it would be simple and work first time without problem.
While cruising the internet looking for solutions (and came across many others with the same problem), I came across "AirDroid" for wireless transfer.
I now use AirDroid for all my downloading which works fine on the free version, which I can upgrade for $1-99 per month.
THANK YOU NOT SAMSUNG.

Ok phone
This phone is worth what you pay for. It has touch ID log in but can only have up to 3 fingerprints. The phone is similar to other samsung phone, it has all its usual app and has many background theme to chose from. It is also water proof. The phone only comes in black blue pink and gold it doesn't come in white.

Solid budget device.
Samsung Galaxy A5 is a very well made device and doesn't seem to cut any corners in production. The screen is amazing for the price point. This phone supports 2 sims AND a micro SD card, while most phones don't. Waterproofing on a phone that isn't a flagship is also very nice to have on any phone. The camera takes decent shots & isn't grainy unless it is dark. The A5 performs well and I have had no issues with it. I can easily recommend this to someone who needs a phone that works well at everything and doesn't want to spend twice the price.

get what you pay for
Don't expect a s9 or iPhone 8 in the Samsung A5. It's an ok phone as a daily driver. but can slow down to a halt when multiple programs are running in the background. Also GPS is next to useless as it jumps all over the place when used with google maps

Pretty good
I've had this phone for just under a year and so far it has served me well. The battery life lasts me through the day without a problem and is pretty good for the price. My main complaint is how easy it is to scratch and chip the glass and metal casing, even with a case on the phone has managed to suffer some noticeable damage. Though this is sometimes the price that has to be paid for a nice looking phone, which this certainly is.

so far so good
Samsung Galaxy A5 is not bad. New type of sim and memory card placement are good. But it is little bit hanging when we are using internet...processor may need to be reviewed and updated. not easy to change battery. need to send to the company to replace the battery which is good/bad. good thing we can avoid fake batteries bad thing is we need to find a safe way to send/receive the mobile with personnel datas to/from the comany.

Perfect phone
I love the phone, I bought it for my son, for his 13th birthday and he likes it too. The camera produces great shots, even in low light. I like the 32 GB of space, can host lots of apps and videos. It also charges to full charge in less than one hour. I would highly recommend this phone. I bought mine from Officeworks.

Awesome Phone
Great mobile that is easy to use. Camera is top quality and the short cut features to get to the camera are great. Font size and styles are funky and colourful display options. Quick access to sound, torch, Bluetooth and internet are very useful A great priced phone for the quality. I would recommend this phone to every age group.

Do not buy for the camera
When my contract was up decided to get a newer Samsung as previous Samsung's have been fantastic. I do Facebook and Instagram posts for our shop. The phone's camera function is a huge let down. Really surprised as former Samsung phone cameras were fantastic and superior to iPhone. Uncomfortable size makes it difficult to use. Still quite a while to go until I own it outright other than paying it out but unless you want a basic phone to call/text I wouldn't recommend.
