Great start on the next generation of smartphones
You could say I'm a experienced technology user, I've had many a smartphone, from iphones to Pixels, and everything in between, it's hard to describe just how awesome it is using the Galaxy fold, yes it isn't a perfect device none are, and especially as its a first generation device, the front display is quite small, so if you have big fingers it may be hard to use, I have small to normal size hands lol, so I have become use to using the front screen for just the apps I need to use frequently, so
phone, messages music apps and camera, I have al...Read more
so set up the small side lock button to activate Google pay on a double tap, which is very handy, paying for things especially public transport, everything else is mostly used on the folded out screen which is just a beautiful sight, yes there is a crease but in normal straight on usage it is a none issue or a problem at all, I would say if you can put up with a iphone notch, you can put up with this little crease, the Galaxy fold has a notch also for the cameras, but if it really annoys you, it's easy to hide it, in the settings. What I love about Android is, its totally customizable, from home screens, to system launchers, my last smartphone was a Pixel 4xl, which i generally loved and still have as a back up, I like the stock operating system experience, so after a while of using Samsung's UI, which is decent and much better than it use to be, I changed the launcher to a few others to see how and what I like the best, I tried the Pixel launcher, Nova Launcher, and end up staying on the Microsoft launcher, to be honest the Surface launcher is fantastic on the Fold and I recommend anyone to try it out especially, as I feel its been in development for folding devices, with Microsoft's own Surface Duo, releasing soon. Playing games, watching YouTube,Netflix and Disney plus is awesome experience on the big screen, as is running two or three apps at once on the big screen, I use two generally, it is a game changer, in the way you use a smartphone device, when Samsung fixes the little problems with later generations, and designs with lower prices, and a glass hybrid plastic folded screen, instead of just a plastic screen, like on the current Fold, the masses will come and be truly blown away. On a side note anyone who is worried about the folded out screen, shouldn't, just wipe it softly every second day or so with a dry microfiber cloth, it works fantastically.

Not worth the price tag
So a few issues I have with my phone.
The crease in the middle is very visible. It does everything a normal phone would do the only thing is it folds. Cameras are just as good as my old phone. Just not understanding the hype.
Battery life - better then previous
Screen display - awful
Gaming - not good eg Pokemon has fruit to give to the Pokemon when trying to capture and the screen touch doesn't work in the middle of the screen.
Overall not a satisfied customer
Purchased in December 2021 at Optus for $3,050.00.

Absolutely brilliant!!!!
I was iffy when this first come out but when i had a up close look at Samsung store i was blown away. I finally ended up purchasing it thursday last week and it has been great! The screen doesn't get hot when charging like other Samsung's, the fold is great. You can see the crease but who cares, its freaking foldable!!!! The screen is a great size, when you go to the dial pad to call people it has two arrows. One pointing left and one pointing right. You can move the dial pad left, centre or right, depending your preference. So if you favour a ...Read more
specific hand you can do it one handed and if you have no preference then it doesn't really matter. The speakers are fantastic, it comes with galaxy buds in the phones packaging! Youd hope so for the price your paying lol. Yes its expensive but it is extremely worth it. Its only 500 bucks extra than all the other new releases so your not losing much money. It has a single camera on the small screen side, it has ultra wide, normal and telephoto lense on the back and normal and ultra wide on the large screen side. So 6 cameras in total. The flash is very bright. Camera is so clear and extremely satisfying taking pictures with the fold open. Every single app works so so smooth and fast on this phone. Highly recommendPurchased in December 2021 at Samsung Physical store for $2,999.00.
