Works well

Great features in this microwave, although I basically just use the basic features for everything. I have turned the sound off and love this option. It does seem study and reliable. I wish the defrost feature would not make me turn to press start every few minutes. This is the only frustrating thing.

Good Quality.

It is easy to use and very energy efficient. It heats up the food very quickly. I never had troubled with it and only bought It this year. I would highly recommend to the people and price wise it is okay and good value for money. Good product in market.

I bought one from Harvey Norman for my use price was bit high but it is very nice to use. It is Expensive to run but very good quality. It has plenty of storage space Best thing is easy to clean as it's stain less steel. It has multiple functions so you don't need to put time to heat your food as it determines time by it self

Not the Best

published

Purchased this about 3 months ago, stopped working after about 2 months. Took it to the service centre and was advised that the door needed to be aligned. Although it looks good and the price is reasonable, it seems to lack the durability, but that seems to be the usual with almost all electronic items these days.

Value for money

Microwave functions as advertised, cooks quickly with a large variety of options for cooking, relatively quiet and was a great price. Quite happy with it. It is simple enough to use that our children are able to safely and efficiently warm up food for themselves which is a major bonus.

Love it!

This microwave was a house warming gift to me. Never had any issues with it It does what it is supposed to do. I make tea, cook veggies, make popcorn, bake & reheat in this microwave. Easy to use. It has sensor heating as well. So you can never overcook / burn something. Very good product!

Fantastic microwave

Microwave that gets the job done
Easy to use, haven't really tried the fancy options but it's worked out well so far.

Microwave is not too loud, has good build quality and I expect it to last for quite a while.

The microwave is quite large - larger than I was expecting so maybe keep that in mind.

Very nice looking microwave, works well too

published

It cooks just fine. I stick with just the basic functions as I just like to choose the cooking time myself. The unit looks very nice in my white kitchen. The black window does make it a little harder to see inside but I quickly got used to that. Very large interior is great.

Its a Samsung

published

Its not a specially powerful microwave as the way it heats food is just OK. The built quality is not the best and the plastics used are average quality plastics. Quite loud when it is in running and doesnt seem to heat food evenly. I Probably wont buy it again!

easy to use. looks good

I can't find any faults with this microwave. Its very easy to use and it looks great in my kitchen. I haven't had any of my plates or containers that hasn't been able to fit in it. I have used a lot of microwaves in my time that are hard to use and gives me crap but the Samsung is perfect

Samsung microwave

published

A good little microwave for the price. Sleek design accents any stainless kitchen well. Only drawback is the inside plate can be a bit rocky if the item being heated is not centered directly on the plate. Otherwise, a great purchase at its price point, and would certainly recommend it for around $200

Good microwave.

published

Having never purchased a microwave over $50 before, I decided to spend a bit more and get something that looked like it was going to last longer than one house move.

This microwave it's actually pretty cool, it has a feature called sensor cook, (for things like potatoes ) and you put in the food, hit the button and the microwave sorts out all of the rest.

It looks very sleek and clean and it works well.

Ok.

Doesn't heat the food thoroughly. Sometimes food is hot sometimes cold. Can't see inside it. I like to aee how the food is cooking without having to open it all the time. The buttons get stuck sometimes too. It's ok but I thought considering the price it would give me more.

It works

published

Does the job, all the buttons work, haven't had any major problems with it. It's annoying that if you leave food inside after the timer finishes, it would beep every 20 seconds. I know there is food in there, I cooked it cause I am hungry, I am just doing something else now, don't need to constantly remind me.

Cooks really unevenly, buttons stopped working, out of warranty now so it's made to last just 3 year

published

This microwave looks pretty good, no complaints on that part. I have had issues with the buttons not functioning, I have a few issues with the cooking where if I put frozen veggies in it, it's actually so uneven to the point where it will have frozen food in the middle and boiling hot food on the edges! The big capacity is great but means nothing when it won't cook anything evenly. This microwave is only good for reheating pasta or any food you can stir halfway.

Re - heater

published

First microwave I've bought that has a option of sound or no sound after cooking or re heating function.
I love the huge 40 L capacity for larger meals and the touch panel is easy to operate.
It's a relatively quite operation when in use and it's construction is solid.
Heaps of different cooking, defrost and auto modes makes life simply easier.
All in all a wonderful everyday use product and highly recommendable....

Went brilliantly for three years and four months, then burned out

published

I don't usually do a long cook in a microwave, but I was running three frozen meals thru, one after another. And the micro died. Just popped and blacked out. It was extremely hot underneath so it was good it did not catch fire. Lucky thing is for some reason I bought an extended warranty when I bought it. So I'll be chasing that up on Monday. Anyway, it was perfect until today.

Can't see a thing

published

Bought the brand first and then the features but we were never told that you can't see a bloody thing when cooking; as the interior surface is a dark finish and the light globe would probably serve better in a torch.
Samsung have been around for many years and they have the gaul to put this microwave cooker on the market and literally playing the publice for fools. Samsung ME6144ST is very poorly designed as far as lighting up the interior for viewing the article being cooked is concerned, you can't see whats cooking.

Where are the vents on this model? It would fit snugly in my microwave space at 56.5cm side to side with plenty of room at the back and top of the unit. Would that be OK for ventilation?

Hi Muriel, if you are receiving the SE error code, we recommend for you to switch off your microwave. Then unplug and replug it back in. If the error reoccurs we recommend for you to head into your nearest authorised service centre. If you would for us to provide the details to your nearest centre, please feel free to let us know of your postcode.

Hope this helps.

Ours was just out of warranty when the 5E error started
I was able to repair it by removing keypad & heating with hairdryer to remove moisture and smoothing out the keypad while hot to unstick the key.
I noticed that there is a bit of foam around the LED display that covers the logic chip, this is a bad design as it will trap moisture and cause errors
I repair furnaces & build similar controllers at work so understand how these things work
