4 samsungs in our house
We have 4 samsung tv's in our house - 3 series 6 (one of them UHD the other 2 just HD) and one is an older series that offered 3d (never even opened the glasses - what a crock!). Anyway... I am on the hunt for another tv to replace the oldest of the samsungs because it's "smart" version is too old to support netflix. We purchased a samsung thumb drive to get it to connect to the internet wirelessly and oh my god it it so slow and so laggy its apalling. We find that the 3 newer series 6 models are all SOOO SLOW to change the volume, connect t...Read more
o netflix, stan, change channels even when watching free to air. Really, the changing of the tv's volume (to low when you turn it on in the mornings) is the biggest bugbear. There is so much lag it's totally infuriating - the most expensive UHD tv is the worst! If someone turns on the tv in the morning we are all blasted by the loud volume it was set to the night before as the volume button is so laggy and unresponsive, it could be 10 seconds until we can get the volume down - yes the tv is hardwired to the internet and yes we have NBN. I think the processors in the samsung tv's are not up to the job - dont sell a big juicy bells and whistles tv without processors to run them Samsung!!! Oh, and an interesting thing - we all agree that the best picture in the house is on the big HD samsung - it beats the UHD considerably. Go figure. Figuring out how to record a show or playback something recirded on a thumb drive is very confusing and convuluted so we have given up. Samsung only supports PC and we are a mMac household - also another stupid annoying thing. Samsung you are obviously a PC company so please think outside the lines here. Lastly, we bought a Samsung soundbar for the big UHD tv and the sound on all settings is so muffly we have stopped using it. What a total waste of money.Purchased for $2,000.00.

ABSOLUTELY TOTAL WORTH!
Being a smart TV and totally in sync with the brand Samsung's quality, the TV is complete worth the penny. NO complains bought it over 1.5 years now. Working fine with crisp and clear UHD pic quality and sound that pretty much gel effortlessly with each other.
Purchased in December 2021 at JB Hi-Fi.

Good pic but...
Smart Tv. Good pic, very light. Prob is it lags when changing channels. Takes time to update the title of the show. Slow software. Seems sound can be weak. Use with sound bar.
Purchased in May 2021.

Won't connect to internet
The image quality is very good. Unfortunately, the smart TV feature does not work due to connection problem with the internet. The error keeps coming up which says that TV Mac address is invalid. The TV won't even attempt to search for any wifi network. It also won't connect to wired network. Software can't be upgraded, since it's only possible to do that via internet. This is a known issue widely reported on line which users seem to be unable to solve.

After discussing the issue with Samsung Customer Service, they sent an engineer who replaced the internet network component inside the TV and it finally works. Thank you for good service and swift repair.

Great TV
Purchased this tv nearly a year ago and still works and looks amazing. Very high contrast and great detail. Good for watching movies and sports. Very light and easy to carry around. Would definitely buy again if I had to replace it. Good internet access and easy to navigate. Would recommend

Decent TV
Bought this TV to hold me over for few years. Samsung have always been my go to brand when it comes to buying TV's. I find they are always on the costly side, but are well made. I am a bit suspicious that support for the Smart TV apps get cut off unecessarily, perhaps to motivate people to buy a newer model.
The sound isn't great, so i recommend buying a sound system and connecting that. However, I feel that is pretty usual with all big TV's now a days.
This TV has a few HDMI points, but I've noticed that not all of them work. I would have liked there to have been more USB points too,

Could not be happier!
Get product. Picture quality is great, speakers are good. Very good as a bedroom TV. Would highly recommend. Has all the apps such as Netflix, SBS and many other free to air channels: and it only set me back roughly $1000. I was trying to decide between this and a Sony, and I'm glad I made this choice.

Disapointing
I have this TV to be shockingly disappointing I was under the impression that 4k ultra high definition was going to be better than my last TV I was wrong poor black and very slow when using the tv with xbox for games the menu is hard to understand but really it is the lack of picture quality that let's it down.

The customer service people lie to you all the time .Don't use Samsung ever

Great price, great product
Bought this through myer when they were having huge sale. Has 3 HDMI ports, great display and sound. I personally love samsung's smart tv system so it's overall best purchase for the price! Only regret that I have is that I didn't get a bigger tv, would highly recommend getting bigger tv

Absolutely Love This TV
Never had a TV with such a rich and vibrant picture, Samsung clearly know what they are doing when it comes to screens. I pretty much can't fault it. It looks good in different light levels, viewing angles are good, dark colours separate well. Its very easy on the eye. Menu is a bit complicated but basic functions are easy enough.
No gripes, a great purchase.

Great TV
This is a great TV. Really enjoyed having it! Highly recommended for those who are fan of watching tv. We bought this unit to replace our old television about a two years ago. Earlier we were using Sony brand which did not provie to be very reliable and within a couple ofyears it's screen starting showing lines on it.

Samsung Series 6 MU6100
this is one of the best things I have ever bought! the tv is crystal clear and all my Blu rays; video games and streaming services look fantastic! The built in speakers are typical but I use a receiver and surround sound; this also takes care of the lack of HDMI cables; as someone like myself has a lot of external devices. My only regret is not buying it sooner!

Decent window to the world
I have had this TV for a year and it's going pretty well.
The picture quality is quite good and the built-in speakers have never failed me.
Personally, I have never had problems with the ports because it's connected to the WiFi.
The OS is Android and it's been good. The only problem that can be annoying is the remote. It lost an 'Enter' function for a couple of months but it's back now. I'm not sure what caused it. Will have to contact Samsung if it ever happens again.

Good quality overall
The quality, color sound are all good.
Two cons:
1. it cannot project iphone on to the screen. Android is fine, but not iphone.
2. the andriod based shell is very poor. I had to buy another TV boxes at the end of the day. I do not think the TV is smart.

Great TV
Recently purchased this absolutely amazing TV! Picture quality is absolutely superb, sound quality is also decent, considering how slim and discreet the TV is in terms of size. Watching 4K movies is incredibly stunning, even better than a cinema! I would highly recommend this TV to anyone looking for a new product

I bought the SAMSUNG Smart TV in July 2017. It no longer connects to the internet. Just suddenly stopped, so we thought it may need an extender/repeater, bought a top of the range for $170+ and still no luck. What should we do, It's only 16 months old. I have spent loads of $'s with IT experts to try and get it connected to no avail. What is recommended?
