Could do with a better remote and e-manual
The TV is great but In its efforts to create a smaller, minimum buttons remote Samsung have lost usability.
If you are watching from a USB and you want to toggle subtitles you cannot with one button; you have to push down then right 5 times then select then enter 3 times then up or down then right then enter! Ridiculous.
The use of the coloured buttons is not explained in any detailed way. They don't seem to be programmable (for a subtitle toggle for example).
Can't these issues this be fixed with a software update?
Purchased in June 2021 for $990.00.

Brilliant viewing!
Samsung Smart TV is brilliant. Quality picture with great clarity. Apps are easy to add and easy to find on the pop up menu.
The TV has superb sound and movie viewing from many angles.
The internet connectivity is good and it updates easily wirelessly.
The ports however once wall mounted are near impossible to use - had to get hubby to lift it off to use the AV port but once leads are in no need to worry. Netflix and Google play are easily accessed and utilised from the pop up favorites menu. All in all a brilliant TV

Horizontal lines on left edge
Bought in June 2017, the tv has now developed a vertical band on the left edge with distorted picture and horizontal lines in it. Banding is on the left edge only and is present in all inputs
Warranty is for 12 months and it has been only 5 months out of warranty and has developed a major fault. Have tried factory reset and all other options but the banding won't go away

best picture quality
The picture quality is fantastic, the sound is brilliant, also the size. It looks great in HD if put in the right setting. I am impressed with Samsung overall and particularly with this set. The colour is good, the controls easy to use and the extras that you get make it a worthwhile purchase. The tv was not the cheapest tv but it worths the price as they give you what you paid for

Good Picture Quality!
I'm very happy with this TV, it offers cinematic viewing, high definition picture quality for both TV channel viewing, Netflix, downloaded and streamed movies, DVD's, other apps such as SBS on demand and ABC iView. also great audio and it's very easy to use, fast processor and surround sound. Recommend!

I stole a deal.
This TV was my unplanned purchase. I was looking at buying a tv. but after looking at the price I would give up the idea. I wanted screen size over 40" so the price was a bit higher. I was at The Good Guys to purchase microwave and saw this TV there, it was marked down for $1150!!! I bought it and have been enjoying the big TV since then. It's just perfect and awesome value for money.

I really love this company, it always has products of good quality. On account of the TV, I'm very pleased with them, very good quality of color and sound. Very convenient system of use, the sound system is very strong. There are several HDMI inputs. Very easy to connect to the Internet and very easy to use. I advise all this company of good quality.

great product
This TV has ultra high definition so work extremely well with the higher quality packages avaliable from netflix. It has access to all internet and paid tv which other brands do not (eg. some brands only have access to netflix not stan) is extremely compatible with USB and formats all files on the TV the same as on the computer screen. It has great picture quality even for movign picture such as sports and the sound is excelelnt for a regular sized lounge room without a sound bar.

Well done Samsung
After having a bad experience with older Samsung smart TVs which weren’t smart, this one is a step above the rest. Easy to use and very smart with other products. I’ve been able to connect my Samsung mini hifi, phone and apple products. Wonderful display and the new style remote is fantastic.

This model i love,has everything i need, works well no faults so far, sleek design, light weight when moving house, even dropped it and still works, absolutely love it.
Would recommend this t v to anyone, Samsung is best on the market i tried many others with terrible picture or wont work after few weeks.
Cant fault this tv.

Excellent phone so good
The best phone so clear that the vision is so cool. I recommend this phone so much to everyone. Samsung has come so far and so easy as an android. I recommend iPhone first time but now it's Samsung all the way to the top. I'm so pleased to have one

Awesome TV, bit dark in the light
Quality is awesome, have had slight problems with it turning itself on, it's something to do with the PS4/Amplifier looking for updates. I have to switch it off at the switch every night..
Sound is average and needs proper sound system like any other TV in this range..
Compatible with everything I have set it up with does need a little tweaking to get everything yto work right..
Overall a good purchase..

Love it. Faultless.
Everything is as it should be. The features are faultless. The picture is amazing. High quality product. The sound is never the best on tvs these days but that's because of how small the speakers are in such a flat panel. Once hooked up to home theatre though the souns fantastic.

Do not buy. Extremely poor customer service
I chose to purchase a Samsung TV over a Sony, LG or Hisense and I am now regretting that I did. As a consumer, we sometimes prefer the branded ones or the leaders in the industry with the assurance that their products and their customer service are reliable and robust. However, it's not always the case, I have received the worst customer service and technical support from Samsung lasting nearly 12 months, and to this date, I'm still waiting for a resolution.

udio and I was advised to purchase a Samsung soundbar as it's the only, the ONLY product that would work with this TV. The soundbar was AU $580. Thereafter, I had multiple and intermittent issues with power, volume controls and apps not loading. Tech replaced the motherboard, but the problem persisted. Reported the problems again, tech visited for the second time (March 2018) and was able to verify the issues. After all the phone calls and tech visits, I was finally offered a brand new replacement (April 2018). I was advised that it will take 7 days. 7 days later, TV was not available and the stocks are for retail stores first and not for customers. 21 days later, still no TV, still waiting for availabilities. Bare in mind, our TV's faulty and we could not use it properly. 1 month later, still no TV replacement. I demanded a refund instead which was approved. It took 9 months, 9 MONTHS!!! and get this, it's now July 2018, 1 month away from warranty expiry, and I still do not have the refund. Samsung over promise and under deliver. They are the best example of this. They also don't call to provide with updates. Save yourselves from headaches and stay away from Samsung. It saddens me that the after sales care is maddening. I have not only purchased a TV from Samsung, I also purchased the Gear (smartwatch), an S8, an S8+ the Soundbar. All up was not a $50 sale, it's thousands of dollars and the after sales treatment was more like "We have your money now so see ya later, you're on your own". My parents have had 3 Samsung TVs in a matter of 2 years. They also had to get replacements as their TV had multiple problems. And they said that Samsung TV's don't last, they look good in the beginning, but they start dying after 6 months. It's a waste of money. I'm so glad they've stirred away from Samsung TVs. Absolutely Fabulous!
The Samsung 55 is an awesome TV, with plenty of compliments coming from guests at my place. It has great clarity of picture, clean sound, Smart TV features & flat enough to either mount on the wall or stand on a TV cabinet. Great for PS & XBox games too.

Good tv
I'm in love with my new tv! The picture quality is really nice and you can always check with the tv control. The speaker is good as weel. I like just put some music on and is good like a stereo. Can't live without anymore! Very nice Samsung product I'm just enjoying

Impressive technology and style
Picture quality is clear. The HD channels look fantastic. The sound is also clear and can go quite loud without compromising the quality. The smart feature means the TV has all the extra channels available. Easy to use. Can connect 3 devices most days to the TV without issue - being an Apple TV, TV cast on the phone and by bluetooth from my laptop. No issues.

I love my new TV
This is an excellent TV, 55 inch 4K. The picture quality and the sounds is perfect!! It never stuck. I bought it for $1000 from a deal from Goodguys.
And Im so happy with my purchase. We enjoy sitting in front of the TV watching a movie everynight.. The best TV I ever had!

I have a similar Samsung model UA55MU6103WXXY. With a brand Asus model Zen UX430UNR laptop miracast keeps on disconnecting every 5 to 10 minutes on Windows 10. On another LG tv Asus laptop connects fine. My LG Android mobile connects fine to the Samsung TV.
Anyone come across this before?

Thanks for coming through, Brisdaz. From what you have described, it may be best to contact tech support for your laptop, as it seems other devices have no issues utilising Miracast to your Samsung TV.

The Asus laptop works on other LG TVs means it may be some strange incompatibility.

I'm hoping to find other Samsung TV customers who can confirm or deny Miracast is working properly.
For those reading it later on:
Temporary Workaround
I connected the laptop to WiFi router via 5GHZ; then connected Miracast; then switched laptop to Wifi router via 2.4GHZ. This works fine for longer then 30 minutes so far.
However this is not a long term fix as 2.4GHZ is slower then 5GHZ. I am still not sure what the root cause issue is.
