Biggest Disappointment
Bought this machine after our LG front loader's drum bearings started to go and became noisy.
Bought a Bosch Serie 8 (Made in Germany) model which the motor blew within the first week. Took that back and bought this big disappoinment of a Samsung Front Loader.
I was going to buy another LG when the sales assistant convinced me that that Samsung was a better washer. Yeah, no it's not.
Here is my list of faults;
- Wifi an utter waste of time and gimmick. The Wifi disconnects when the machine turns off. So I cant even check what the machine is ...Read more

Love it
Just the right size for medium family. 8.5 kilo. Large array of washes unlike my old machine. Does a great wash. Much better than my previous top loader. Hold 4 peoples washing every two days with ease. Quiet while running, definitely recommend. Good price saved $100 purchasing from goodguys ebay store.

Cleans so much better than a top loader.
Not happy at first. When we saw it in the shop we plugged it in and the display said 1:04h to do a cotton wash which is fast. We got it home and when it weighs a full load it recalculates and takes 2:58h to complete the full load wash. This is crazy, how does it take this long? Has to go back tomorrow.
It’s a shame because it’s a good looking machine that feels very well built.
We bought it because the Qdrive was supposed to be very fast and the addwash feature was very handy. It has lots of modes, plus steam and bubblesoak which all sou...Read more
nded cool. After three hours washing our clothes are so much cleaner than our old top loader, and they are so dry from the high speed spin you can’t believe they were ever wet. But it takes 3 hours! Also note that according to the manual on the 15 minute wash mode you can only wash 2kg of clothes, and on the 39 minute fast wash you can only wash 5kg of clothes. Be sure to read the manual before you buy as there are different load limits on different modes. UPDATE: when we ran the calibration function again the machine now takes only about an hour. Very happy.

Good machine, with lots of options.
I was apprehensive about going from a top loader to a front loader due to renovations and space constraints. The cycles don't seem to take that much longer, but I like the option of the fast 15 minute wash. Also happy with the add wash door. Having 2 small children I am forever finding socks and clothes around the house just as I've started a cycle. The add wash door allows me to add these items in without having to wait for the next load. Also loving the wash to dry option. This simply means that I can have clothes washed and dried in the one ...Read more
cycle without having to touch anything. I haven't tried the WiFi start yet, but it's handy to get the notifications once the load has finished. I use the delayed start time feature more than the WiFi start. Bonus points for the little jingle that plays once the cycle has finished. My kids love to do a little dance to it every time!Purchased at The Good Guys.

Great Washer
Was hesitant at first as we had a front loader before. Excellent machine with 15 minute fast wash, can open door during cycle and it has a small door also. Has agitator at the back and sides. We have recently upgraded from a popular brand top loader and would never go back. The only issue is that they don’t sell a pedastel for this model.

Not happy
Machine changes program after 1.08 seconds from a 1 hour to a 3 hour with.
Parts replaced twice with technician saying he has no idea why.
Replace 3 days ago, same thing, all on video for them to see.
Time for money back I think.

WiFi not working and not customer support
WiFi not working (It says I don't have permission and it's already registered in a different region) I purchased the WiFi option because of my busy work schedule, and being able to start it before returning home so I'm able to hang the clothes out before they start to smell. I Contacted Sumsang, no return phone call after they advised they'd get back to me within 48 hours with a resolution. I rang back a week later and they gave me the same responce, I rang the retailer and they replaced it after Samsung wouldn't respond to them either. Same i...Read more

Noisy At First but Still Worth It.
Upgraded our old Samsung which is still going strong 20yrs on and the youngest has it now! This one was noisy at first which we were upset about, but we thought give it a chance, glad we did after about 6/7 washes the noise went. The washes are as always superb. The Add Door is a great advantage as well as the gentle reminder to clean the drum. Hopefully it lasts at least as long as the last one :)

TERRIBLE NOISY WASHING MACHINE
I bought this machine being the cream of the crop, It should come with a warning sticker on it that it is a noisy machine. I rang them after the first wash. It is louder than my old 20 year old front loader, I have had Samsung out and a part has been replaced, even the serviceman said it was loud, but it is still loud, a real buzzing noise that you can hear 3 rooms away. I have had no satisfaction from customer service, as apparently because it washes your clothes it is within the specifications of the machine. I would not recommend this machine to my worst friend, do yourself a favour do not buy

Questions & Answers
Donna Kasked
Hi just wondering if you can keep the door slightly open to air the machine after each cycle (one review said this can't be done)
Also does this machine heat the water internally or is there a hose to connect to the hot water.
Thx
2 answers
It doesn’t heat the water and I have left the door open without issues.
AdaSamsung
Hi Donna, for safety precautions, it is not recommend for you to keep you washer door open. The unit has only a cold water valve and a built in heater.

Is it normal for the water to be continuously interrupted on fill up ? An why does it vibrate my home?
2 answers
Yeah mine does that. It fills a little, thinks about it and then fills more.
AdaSamsung
Hi Stevo, it typically would stop and start whilst the water level switch measures the water level during fill. If you would like for us to further look into this, please feel free to send us a video of this to the link below.

Leanneai S.asked
What dryer is compatible with this front loading washing machine?
2 answers
AdaSamsung
Hi Leanneai, would you be able to clarify what you refer to by compatible? Both machines serve different functions.
Ada
Samsung AU
Well yes obversely they are different machines, one being a washing machine the other is a dryer. Considering the new washer has a different front and more functions, one would assume that Samsung has made a dryer with the new front also and possible more function or the same as the older dryers. So I'll ask again what model dryer is compatible with the new washer in question with the same front?
