Numerous Faulty TVs and Poor Customer Service!
I purchased 2 of these TV's and both have the same issue with light bleed.
The first was replaced, but only after 2 weeks of headaches and being advised by Samsung that light bleed is normal for this model. If I had known that, I wouldn't have purchased obviously. That being said they replaced it with a new TV which didn't have the issue, so go figure.
I was advised that this TV shouldn't be watched in a dark room, which I thought was absolutely ridiculous.
I was then advised it was within tollerence.
Finally the TV was replaced and they ad...Read more

Huge screen, tiny compromises, but worth the price
The 75" TV comes in a huge carton (not surprising), but it is only to be transported upright - good to know if you're planning to collect it yourself in a Ute etc. The TV is a two person lift in every way, so you need help as well. Once un-boxed and on the table, fitting the supplied legs or a wall bracket is easy. If you're wall mounting, take a picture of the back of the TV where the sockets are or attach the leads first, as otherwise it's tricky to plug things in while it's on the wall. Setup was easy enough, but as others have found, th...Read more
e remote control is a bit fiddly to use, but not that bad. In terms of use, I only use the screen as a cinema screen attached to a 4K player, so have no comments on the apps built in to the TV. Make no mistake, this screen is HUGE. Picture quality is great and even DVDs don't look too bad given the massive upscaling required. Now the minor quibbles. The backlight, if left at factory default brightness, is visible at the edges of the screen when there's black bands (e.g. letterbox films). That said, this really is the defining difference between traditional LCD TVs like this and OLEDs. Backlighting a screen this big is never going to be perfect. Dropping the factory default brightness is a workable compromise and hasn't resulted in too dark a picture. The only other glitch I'm yet to pin down is occasional skipped frames off Blu-Ray content (appears like a brief slice of the action is missing, so things 'skip' ahead). The glitch is only on 1080p content so far (I haven't got any 4K content yet) and the skipping is something you'd measure in milliseconds - but enough to be visible to the human eye. DVDs don't do it, so the working theory is that it's the media engine in the TV processing the higher quality stream with all the Samsung extra features. I've fiddled a bit with the picture refinements in the TV menus but haven't found the root-cause yet. Same Blu-Rays on an identical second 4K player in the house on a Sony Bravia TV don't display this glitch, so hoping to figure this out eventually. In summary, despite a couple of minor glitches (none of which are showstoppers), the TV represents one heck of a huge screen from a reputable brand at a sub $2k price point. Until OLED prices become sane, the overall value of this TV cannot be overlooked.Purchased in February 2021 at The Good Guys for $1,800.00.

Very disappointed with internet connectivity and it doesn’t support PVR
I bought this to upgrade my old TV as I thought this was good value for money.
However I am very disappointed with internet connectivity as it turns out this doesn’t support 5GHz and it does support 2.4GHz only. It means that it will provide a very slow performance when it connects to the internet. As a result, I am not able to watch Netflix as it’s too slow and it's buffering frequently. In my opinion, it should support 5GHz and it’s very common these days and I bought Samsung Series 6 - UA60J6200 4 years ago and which is another entry level ...Read more
and even this one does support 2.4GHz and 5GHz. So, I thought that this model does support as well which was wrong. Also, this RU7100 series does not have an extended personal video recorder (PVR) which is just another disappointment. So, I really don't understand why Samsung removed good features compared to the Series 6 for the entry level.Purchased in February 2021.

Cheapest 4k 75" Samsung you can get now for a good reason
Pros
Cheapest 4k 75" Samsung you can get now.
TV only looks good in bright rooms with its brightness set to high with full screen HD content.
Cons:
Blacks don't look black they are grey
Excessive back light bleed
Cloudy washed out image & dull colors
This is a Samsung TV for the budget minded customer, here we have a cheap/low quality LCD, but if you don't care about image quality this will be ok for you, and it has all the smart features of other high end models minus the harddrive recording. ...Read more
Biggest issue with this TV is its bottom edge back lit, so on black scenes you have a lot of light bleeding on both the bottom corners. and you have a dark line along the bottom in bright scenes. This is not a good TV that you watch in a dark room/night, the backs are not black they are grey, and you have to turn up the brightness to max to make it look any good. In terms of colors, they are washed out, and they have no impact, the contrast between dark areas and a colorful areas in the same scene is not that good. My old 8yr old 1080p Samsung 60" has better color than this. In all the stores i've seen this on display they have this TV alone and away from the others, there is a reason for this, so you can not compare it with other TVs. Another big gripe with this TV is the remote, they made the useful buttons such as settings/tools/info smaller and replaced them with useless netflix/www/amazon buttons. So if you gonna buy a Samsung or a big 75"+ TV don't buy the cheapest, get QLED or a LG OLED, they are 2-3 times more expensive, and are much better than this TV. If your gonna buy this compare it carefully to other similar priced rivals, i recommend getting a mid range TCL or Hisense instead of this if your on a budget for a 75"+ size TV.Purchased in December 2021 for $1,463.00.

Good tv but issues with network
Tv has many apps which make the tv a absolutely perfect tv but one big problem is the network has a mind of its own I constantly have to long press the power button to get the internet to stay connected. Which in return makes the apps you download on the tv useless. Samsung needs to upgrade the network software

Excellent TV, but misses on a few features
This is a good TV, but misses the marks in a few key areas. There are not enough apps in their app store, in my case I watch EPL on Optus Sports app which this TV and the app store do not support. It only has 3 HDMI ports and 2 USB ports. It does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack. It does not support program recording. Overall, it has a great picture, good remote and represents excellent value for money.

Great but expected a little more
TV itself is fantatisc and I've been a Samsung TV user for a long period of time.
Only had the TV for a couple of weeks but so far loving it.
Pros:
Very fast to startup
Access to apps is relatively easy
2 HDMI ports but less than my old TV which is a bit disappointing
Supposedly energy efficient
Picture quality is very clear which I'm happy about...Read more

Perfect 4D TV Cant fault it
Cant fault this TV. All you would really need in a smart 4 D TV. All the apps are there including Netflix, Stan and the catch up free to air channels.
Picture is flawless and even watching HD on Foxtel or free to air. Coming from a Plasma had heard LEDs were not as good with sport as struggle with fast action. Must admit nothing wrong and sport appeared to be be same as my previous Plasma.
Sound is always better though a soundbar so invest in one.
Alexa controls my TV which us pretty cool.
Only negative was Harvey Norman charging $400 for hanging on the wall. Should be $300 and for delivery to be included.

top value. great picture. easy to use
5th samsung tv. (i keep buying bigger every time). got the 75inch this time thinking it could be too big. its not. i could go bigger again and i have it in a relatively small room. i sit less than 3m from the tv and it still has a good picture. sound is ok but ideally youd buy a sound system. blacks could be blacker but I didn't want to pay double price for the oled/qled.internet is great hasnt dropped out once. paid 2k from Harvey normal incl delivery. haven't owned for that long yet but if it's like my other samsung tvs then I expect no problems

Good deal for money
We bought our TV on boxing day and have been using it for 8 months now. The sound is very good. We don’t need to buy a sound bar which save us money. The picture quality is amazing. We opted to subscribe to Netflix 4K and never looked back. Very good deal for our money.

Love love love!
We were so excited to purchase this for our new home. It sits perfectly on our wall and the picture is so crisp and clear, amazing for the size of the TV and the price we paid. It is very user friendly, was easy to set up (mess than 5 minutes), easy to navigate between the apps and TV, connected seamlessly to our WiFi. It is sleek looking and is our favourite appliance.
Purchased in June 2021 for $1,888.00.

The TV functions as it should except for always making creaking noises when images change on the screen. The creaks are physical noises not electronic noises, sounds more like expansion and contraction creaks due to temperature changes. When I turn the TV off it continues making these noises until the whole TV has cooled to ambient temperature.
If I come into the room at 4am, there is no noise at all as the set has been off for 6 hours but the moment it is turned on, the creaks and groans start again as random images change or channels are changed. We have a Samsung UA75MU6100WXXY purchased 16 months earlier and it is absolutely silent all the time.
Can you provide a reason for these noises?
