Bought this model 3 years ago and for the last year dirt, residue and lint has been seeping onto clothes after every wash. We have cleaned magic filter after every use, completed multiple tub clean cycles and scrubbed internally to no avail. Are there any other ways to clean the machine?

Hi my machine is about 3 years old now and seems to do its own thing during the rinse and spin cycle. It literally seems to reset and start the spin cycle as often as it likes. I noticed that the washing was taking longer and took special notice and it just keeps stopping and spinning and resetting the time each time. What is going on?! Help!

I done a load of washing in mine this morning went to turn it on to do another load and it will not switch on at all? Have unplugged machine from wall numerous times checked the detergent dispenser is in properly, checked the lid done smart check via the app on my phone, checked the lint filter, checked the outlet hoses... still nothing.....no life.....no nothing.

Have called Samsung only to be told it will take 3 days for a tech to come out as today is Saturday (sad face). And after reading some reviews I'm not happy!! And I only purchased this machine in April 2018.

Has anyone else had this issue before?

Has it a thermostat in it, to only use a cold feed or does it need a hot feed aswell??

From what I understand you choose if you want to do a hot or cold wash, it is not automatic.

Hi its electronic, it will read temperature off the tub sensor, it may come up with a fill error if you wash on a hot cycle with the hot tap turn off.

Has anyone else had problems with this machine leaving specks/blobs of brown/grey muck on the clothes??? I clean the filter - as best I can as even a toothbrush won't clean those plastic holes properly - and ran the tub clean cycle and even ran another on hot water soak to try to solve the problem. My clothes are coming out dirtier than when they go in. No idea what to do. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

We have the same problem with our Fisher and Pykel. It does help a little bit if you do not use any sort of liquid when you wash, only use powder. I have had to pull the whole tub out and clean all the muck and it will last a little while before I have to do it again.

Thanks for your answer, ajkinney. I had a technician out who said the same as you, really. Would be easier if the manuals were actually helpful! Many thanks for taking the time to respond.

Our 3 year old machine has the same problem, started about a month ago, tub and filter clean do not have any effect.
Using cold wash and Hurricane powder. Next step is to change powder to eliminate it as a possible source.
Many years ago an earlier machine was doing a similar thing and it was found to be oil leakage from the gearbox, it was cheaper to replace than repair.
Page. 7 of the “manual” mentions use of detergent not dissolving completely.

Hi I've had my samsung machine now fo a couple of months & have come to notice that the water temperture changes on its own i select warm then it changes to cold or hot has anyone else had this problem?

Not a problem as I mostly select cold but I've noticed it sometimes overrides from hot to warm when the detergent is feeding in. After that, it seems to revert to the original selection.

If only I had read these posts before I bought MY Samsung. Have had to manhandle the laundry tub on the right across further, hoping that the plumbing would stay intact, in order to accommodate the dreadful left hand side outlet.
As expressed earlier ... where was the logic???? Anyway, my question is, does anyone know what size the right angled hose attachment is? I only have 45-50ml gap between wall and machine, and the hose looks slightly kinked. Will it still work? Many thanks.

No it will be fine if it's only slightly kinked as we have the same machine

The outlet hose would need to fit between the laundry tub but there is only about 60 mm space. Is this space enough. I would rather have no gap so how would a right angle hose attachment help.

the water outlet house is located on the LEFT hand side of this machine on the bottom. it's on the side not the back and i looked at mine and i would think 60 mmm clearance would be the most minimal i think you may be able to put it in with 60 mm gap but i think about 65 mm would be better. this model now is a older model and i dont know if the ones in shops have the same outlet house in this position you could go to a white good shop and have a look . but remember the outlet house is in the left side i have the house from the left side round the back up to the troff

Would you be able to post a pic of the hose where it comes out of the machine? Am cosidering buying this model as a replacement for the one in the recall that was catching fire but the side outlet hose if the only point of concern. Can't seem to see it in any of the pics of it online or the Samsung website...
Many Thanks!

It's the "eco drum clean reminder". There is a page in the manual about it, but it doesn't explain anywhere that that's the actual symbol!

I purchased this machine a month ago - all the cycles are taking 2 to 3 hours (every cycle I have tried including the quick cycle with only four t.shirts in the load!) I have spoken to the help team who were of absolutely no help at all can you please advise what is going wrong I have a large family and the washing is constant I cannot afford for each cycle to take this long.

How odd!! I don't know the answer - other than suggesting you check the manual for how to re-set the machine. I can tell you that using the 'cotton' cycle on warm wash with the water level at the highest setting takes 1hr 9mins. Good luck

Does the machine indicate how long it should go with each selected option?

Why is the drainage pipe on the side of the washing machine? It is stopping me from fitting it in the gap i the laundry. Is there anything I can do to change or fix this. Can i get a right angle attachment for the hose or a hose with a right angle attachment. I have only just brought this machine and am a little disappointed that I am having this problem. I hope I don't have to return it and get something else

You will have to return it. The design is crap and I had to return mine for exactly the same reason! The retailers who sell you this junk don't have any real product knowledge so they will sell you anything with little regard for important issues like yours. It's all about making the sale. The Samsung morons who design these appliances really don't have a clue about functionality in the real world!

Can you cut a hole in the cupboard under the laundry sink to make room for it?

meganjh

Assume by now you have sorted out this problem. I have just had a free replacement for my 5 year old Samsung machine (which is still my favourite machine ever) and as the side attachments are an issue for me too Samsung have offered to express post a right angled hose attachment. They were very helpful actually. #catchingflyswithhoney
