Does it have both a cold and hot water inlet? Or does it only allow for self-heating the cold water? We have solar heated water, so want a machine that has a hot water inlet.

cold water only, heats itself. Hot and Cold is more common on a top loader then a front loader.
I have solar hot water too. wasted

What’s the best recommended spin speed for every clothes?
2 answers
Hi, I usually use 800 for spin speed and it works well with normal daily clothes.

Hi there, thank you for your question. There are 11 different wash cycle on the machine, each cycle has a default spin speed programmed for the type of laundry which you can find more details on through the manual guide that comes with the unit. The general consesnsus is that, delicate and synthetic clothes are usually spun lower than 800rpm so there isn't a chance they get damaged, where as other types of clothes can be spun at a higher speed.

I have just purchased this machine and I am really disappointed. The clothes come out quite wet compared to the 7 year old Bosch front loader I just replaced even on the 1400 spin. The 800 spin cycle are so wet. Our Bosch was only up to 1000 and the clothes were much dryer. The clothes are also more wrinkled even when I remove them straight away. Just wondering if anyone else has found this or if I am doing anything wrong?

Hi can someone please confirm if WW85K54E0UW is now replacing WW85k5410WW/WW85K6410QX (sales guy said they are discontinued)? Also can anyone please help me measure the actual height of WW85K54E0UW if anyone has one at home please? It is advertised for 85cm height but sales guy insisted that it's actually smaller/shorter, my available space is only 85cm high so worried it may not fit. Thanks!

I always use fabric softener so haven’t had that problem! You could try doing a drum clean cycle, and see if that helps?
I always use liquid detergent in mine and sometimes fabric softener. They come out smelling really nice. I think the detergent you use really makes a difference. I used to use a cheaper one and didn't get great results.
I had this issue too. I trial-and-error'd multiple detergents and found Cold Power to be the best at tackling the smell issue. I'll also add a cup of white vinegar to an extra dirty/ smelly load.

I see on the panel that the lowest temperature setting available is 20 celsius. Does that mean that the only cold wash cycle available is the 'intensive cold' cycle? How long does the intensive cold cycle take to complete?
Thanks in advance.

If you choose a cycle that automatically sets temperature you can just press the button until no temperature is selected. Some may not let you over ride but I use daily wash mostly and usually use cold water.
Thanks for that Nic. Most appreciated.

Has anyone had trouble with this machine walking when unbalanced?
1 answer
I have had this trouble initially when I did not take out the four carriage bolts from behind the machine. Was a terrible thing to do! They hold the internal barrel steady during transport. I hope you can solve your problem quickly.

Has anyone started to experience burning smell during the Cotton Cycle?
Our last 2 cotton cycle smelt burning whilst cycle was on and even the clothes were smelling afterward.

I have not experienced anything. Overloading the machine may cause the motor to run hot but I would be seriously concerned about any smell that represents the machine running as normal. Dont mess arround contact who you purchasrd the machine from and Samsung immediately. Dont risk further damage before it is checked out to avoid possibility of fire or damage not covered by warrantee.
Not with our machine. The DAVIDB covers it all.
Thanks, David the machine is definitely not overloaded max 5-6 kilos on a cotton load. The machine was purchased for Harvey Norman with extended warranty but is only 3 months old. never had an issue with cotton cycle before, all of sudden this smell... It smells like burning rubber, very similar to if burning electrical wires if you ever smelt it.
Surprisingly the "bedding" cycle has no issues at all.
Samsung advised not to use until technician checks it.
Btw.. when you say fire or damage not covered by warranty. Am I missing something? The machine is fairly new and we have 4 years extended warranty on top. Regardless we have warranty or not it should not cause a fire like previous models, LOL :)

This product is available whether the white or inoc color is available globally. I did research online and found them in Samsung NZ website so it should be available in your country. Price range in NZ: white is 1298 NZD, Inox is 1698 NZD. https://m.pricespy.co.nz/category/513

The unit comes with 2 years parts and labor but the digital inverter motor warranty (11years) only covers parts. ie. Parts only from 3rd to 11th year!. That's abit of a concern as i won't know what to do with a replacement motor! Can that be extended to include labour?
1 answer
You don't have to install the motor yourself, you pay a service repairer to do this. What they are saying is that if in the event the motor needs replacing, you only pay the repairer for the service call and labour to replace it !
