I had purchased a Note 10 from a Samsung store on the 7th November during the time the earbud redemption program was active. I was in two minds of buying the phone but the free ear buds were an enticing proposition. I filled the appropriate online form with all the info required. I hadn't received any feedback as to whether my claim was verified A week later so I decided to call Samsung ear buds call centre. Finally a half hour later I got through and was told they forgot to inform me that my claim was verified. On the 13th of November my claim was verified. It has been stuck like that ever since to this day. Made many attempts to call but all calls were in excess of 20 minutes+ before the phone cuts out. As if this is a deliberate act to reflect the problem; keep them in the dark. The 30 day limit is soon encroaching and I highly doubt Samsung will honour their promise. This ear buds redemption promotion has Simply been a form of bait IMO to lure honest customers to their product and put these customers aside while Samsung continue doing business. No communication and no care for the customer's interests. My redemption number is, RDP0000136904. Lewis.

Hi Lewis, there is currently a delay in the shipment of your promotional gift. However, you will receive an SMS from Australia Post to your registered mobile number with delivery tracking details once your promotional gift is dispatched.

I appreciate your reply but why put this delay onto Australia Post. Samsung haven't even posted it yet to register. What a lousy excuse on your part. You and Samsung ought to be ashamed. I really expected better from Samsung.

My 4 month old s10plus is making my phones covers turn a funny colour within only just 3 days. It almost looks like some sort of substance is seeping out of the back section of the camera. I'm starting to get a little worried as I have never experienced anything like this before. Could it be dangerous for me to keep it on?

1 answer

Hi Josephine, we recommend for you to remove the case off your device and see whether this is deriving from your phone case or device itself. For reassurance, we also suggest for you to take your device to the nearest service centre so we can take a look at this for you.

Is there a phone cover that has a section to keep the sin/sd card pin key in it, so you can carry the pin key everywhere you go with you and get to your cards any time?
If not would you guys ever consider making a phone cover with a clip in section for the pin key?

I'm always looking around for a safey pin or a bit of wire or a earring or something to open my card slots at the worse time and can never find one but if there was always a pin key in the cover I wouldn't have that problem.

Hey Peter, unfortunately our phone cases do not have a section to keep your SIM tray ejector tool. Your feedback has not gone unnoticed and will be passed on internally. I do personally recommend for you to attach the tool to your keys if you are able to for the time being :)

Waiting makes no difference.
After taking my sg5 (the best phone ever!!) in for a "check" and having some refurbished piece of rubbish given back to me many times, there is NO way i would ever take another phone in to be looked at again.
Samsung "technicians" (definition used lightly) ruined my sg5 and it was a much better phone than this thing (sg6) will ever be.
I'd rather go without a phone than take it back to people who have no idea of anything, or how to fix problems -as the ongoing issues with this phone prove.
For one: NO-ONE FROM SAMSUNG HAS ANY IDEA HOW TO TRANSFER AND BE ABLE TO ACCESS AND READ MEMOS FROM THE PHONE TO A USB OR PC.

Are people having issues with the One Connect cable that connects the Samsung TV and the One Connect box ?? Being proprietary it means that if there is a problem with the cable then the TV cannot work. Samsung have been unresponsive to numerous requests for information regards a replacement cable arriving - now waited 10 business days (and no contact from Samsung)

When can I get a feedback about my lost product?

I ordered water filter for my fridge through Samsung online as I thought it would be less to worried about. But it proved much more problematic.
I ordered the product online on Dec 28, 2018 and received a message saying it’s going to be delivered on 3rd Jan and I would be contacted before delivered. On Jan 4th and 5, I checked my mail box and front yard and there was no card or any package about the product but my order was marked as Delivered online. I reported this issue to Samsung via 1300 call last week twice and they promised me response within 48 hrs. However, I haven’t heard anything after 4 days passed. No update, emails or any feedback. This is the worst online purchase experience I’ve ever had in my life.

Why does Samsung Australia dishonour Australian warranties in contrast to much smaller competitors who have excellent warranty, return, refund practices, Samsung seems to be a nightmare to claim any warranty issues with? (going by reviews here/elsewhere, personal experience).

Hi I have a samsung s7. In the past 3 weeks when i send a text a web page automatically attaches.example my text ended with end.im or mum.xxx this particular web page turned in pornography. i found this so annoying cause that text turns into irrelevant web pages some inappropriate!! Its frustrating that i have no control of stopping these dumb web pages being attached. I went to my phone provider n he laughed then suggested i go to samsung shop they couldnt help either.i want this to stop ive been texting for over 20 years and have never been so embarrest with these attachments that my family or friends are recieving when sent. This also may affect young innocent kids that invest into a samsung phone whos text are abbreviated. Why cant there b a option to turn this off on my phone or is there???? can you tell me how to turn it off. PLEASE?

Hi Julie, we truly apologise about your experience. Unfortuantely there isn't an option to remove this feature. As using a phrase like mum.xxx turns in to a link, you will need to always space it out or the operating system will pick this up as a shortcut for a website. If you write the phrase 'Love mum. Xx' or 'Love mum xxx' this issue will not happen. Websites. Feedback will be sent internally, but please be wary of putting spaces between words that are spaced by only a dot, as this is how websites are designed.

I have Samsung Galaxy S3 smart watch (Frontier model) and its charging dock and cable were both burnt overnight. Fortunately no one hurts because I woke up from the terrible burning smell in the kitchen where the charging dock & cable were normally used and I unplugged from the power outlet quickly. I sent them to Samsung Australia (Sydney Olympic Park, NSW, Australia) and they refused to either exchange or refund. They said I had purchased from other country(USA) which is not covered in Australia, and also foreign substance (non- manufacture fault). I spoke to the seller and they said they(one of the biggest sellers) are only selling Samsung genuine products. Also Samsung recognized the serial number etc. This kind of burning devices(by Samsung) is already a terrible & dangerous global issue however I cannot get any support from Samsung. What should I do?

I'm from Melbourne, Australia.
I bought my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge on 08/07/16.
I had this issue, "Line of death pink line running through edge of the screen" just after I bought this phone and Samsung warranty fixed this issue on 14/02/2017. I still have the receipt.

To my suprise same issue came back last week and I took it to Samsung. But this time they CLAIM that the phone is liquid damaged and they cant fix it by the warranty and they want me to pay AUD$336 to get this fixed.

This phone has never touched any water or any liquid. Also the phone is working fine other than the line of death pink line running through edge.

Are they just trying to avoid the warranty claim? What can I do about this?

While I don't know what exactly happened to your phone as I wasn't there, I can say in my opinion Samsung Australia will do absolutely any dirty, cheap, nasty thing to avoid carrying out any warranty repairs, replacement even if it was their fault or if it was covered by warranty etc.
They are an atrocious and immoral company to deal with in my experience.
I've had amazing experiences with their competitors
