Hi,
Recently the buttons on the handle have stopped working and therefore I am unable to control the level of suction and use the Power Control. Why could this be?
Are you able to buy a new handle separately?

Hi Rhiannon,
This could be an connection issue or an issue with the PBC in the handle or machine.
Due to the electrical components of the hose the handles are not sold separately, you would need a whole replacement hose, they can be purchased from Godfreys for $199.
Alternatively, the hose can be booked in for inspection as is may be able to be repaired instead of needing replacement.

We would recommend taking the machine into your nearest Godfreys store to be booked in and repaired by one of our technicians.
Unfortunately we do not sell reusable bags for this machine as they are unhygienic and not good for the machine, however, you can purchase an attachment to capture majority of the dust so one bags lasts longer.

Hi Sally,
The locking button for the lid is located on the top of the machine, where the hose connects, right next to the handle.
It is easiest to have the machine in the upright position when changing the bag.

The rotating front wheel on the under carriage has snapped off from the plastic post that it's attached to. So can no longer pull the vacuum along when in use. Is there anyway that I can replace this part. I can't see anything online to purchase as a spare part. And not sure how to access the bottom housing to replace the part if possible.

We’re you running it before this happened? It has a mechanism to stop it over heating. It will not come back on till it is ready. If you weren’t running it before this, you have a fault.

We would recommend checking the machine for blockages, they can occur in the floor tool, rod, hose and filters.
If all is clean and the machine is still not turning on when it has cooled down it will need to be taken into your nearest Godfreys store for further inspection.

Do you have a wire cost hanger you can undo and stretch out and form a hook on the end? I can’t remember if the Sauber has a reverse blow part, possibly not.

The machines usually over heat to to a blockage, these can occur in the head, rod, hose and filters.
We would recommend to check these areas for blockages, the filters may also be due to be replaced.
If you are still experiencing issues or not able to find any blockages, we would recommend taking the machine into your nearest Godfreys store for further inspection.

We purchased the Sauber SI-200 and have found it to be an great product for our household, however it is quite fragile in the tropics where plastics, rubber and leather deteriorate quickly. That said, the locking mechanism for the microfilter sensor on our unit broke, making the unit inoperable and local servicing agents have indicated that it is not cost effective to repair and they recommended purchasing another machine from their stock. For retirees, this was not an option.
The switch is a pressure type and I could see that a simple solution would be to develop a spring style pressure frame that could be inserted into the dustbag housing with the dustbag, putting pressure on the sensor to allow continued use of the machine without major repair work.
Before going to local fabricators, is this something that Sauber already has in stock?
My aim is to ensure that the unit can remain in use as long as possible given both my wife and I place great faith in its ability to do its job effectively and efficiently.
