hi there
im currently insured with another company . I have just had a water pipe burst under my flooring going to my island bench . the insurance company wouldn't cover the plumber or the work needed to be done to rectify the issue. I now have to pay $500 EXCESS for damage caused which isn't the issue. this insurance company is only covering a certain amount as I have Architectural breaks / door frames and they want to only cover up to these breaks. now my flooring is one complete flow with no breaks. does your policy cover the whole flooring or just to the door frames also.

I am looking to change insurers as I was not covered for repair for a water pipe break which caused damage to my ceiling by my current insurer. The damage it caused was covered, but the repair to the pipe attached to the air conditioning unit in my ceiling was not covered. Will Seniors Home and Contents Insurance cover this?

I am having trouble with a claim with another insurance company that outsources all phone calls. At 77 and having a low volume phone I would like to know if I change to you would it be be possible to communicate with a person during the length of a claim who has English as a first language. I have had trouble sleeping for two nights due to stress of miscommunication.

I would also like to know about real people having real claims. Most insurance companies have wonderful staff that are well trained to sell their product and hence receive wonderful reviews about how helpful they were.
However I am trying (not very successfully) to judge insurance companies on their handling of claims. This is the area where they all seem to fall over and all insurance companies I have tried looking at have very poor reviews when people have tried to make legitimate claims. I understand that most people having good experiences will never write about it, and only those who have bad experiences will write a review.

I only ever make a Claim, if I need to do so. That is not very often.

Allan I am with you. Your story is the same as my story. If you do the research, there are very few stories of bad claim experiences and lots and lots about friendly staff when signing up with the insurer. There needs to be a central place online where you can get the raw stats.

Do you price match other companies as i have done quite a bit of research and have seen more than one company quite a bit cheaper, also where is your call centre located .Thanks

Hi Terry, yes I did price match. I was previously with woolies and they are cheap but they are terrible to deal with especially if you take out road side assist with them. They don't send anyone to help they just wanted to tow my car.
