Great customer service.

Took out travel insurance earlier this year. Staff were very helpful and the policy good value. Due to inability to travel because of the pandemic I rang to see if I would be covered for any cancellation costs with my holiday. Whilst I wouldn't be covered because it is a pandemic and I'm not aware any insurance company would cover the costs, I was given the option of a credit towards future travel or a full refund. I received the refund within 2 days.

First Lady did not tell me the caronavirus speech. Second lady was more forthcoming. Asked for policy to be mailed, as no working printer at present, but policy appeared on my email after finishing call.

Worthless because of COVID-19

Policy purchased before outbreak but now worthless because of pandemic. Admittedly not something I thought about before (clearly should have, yes my fault) but would warn anyone searching for a policy to make sure that pandemic is covered. Apparently there are some out there if you take a policy before it is declared. Shows that travel insurance without pandemic coverage is useless, so for your own safety and peace of mind shop around!

This was the first time I needed travel insurance. After a lot of research, I settled on Australian Seniors because of the responses and help I received from their representative, Tenille. She was courteous, knowledgeable, very helpful and very pleasant to talk to. Their quotes were very competitive but what finally swung it in their favour was the service we received.
I have not gone on my trip yet so obviously have not had to make a claim but, judging by the treatment so far, I would anticipate quick and efficient hekp.

Need for simplification

First time user. Cost higher than expected but decided to go with it due to the good reputation of Seniors. A Product Disclosure Statement of more than 60 pages is quite overwhelming. There is a need to simplify this documentation if clients have any hope of reading it.

A few indiscretions

We thought it was good value.....but I am having second thoughts.
Very disappointed in in top cover in that if we had to cancel due to my 85year old mum possibly passing just prior to our departure (so we could do funeral etc) we would NOT be covered!!

I insured with Seniors last year. I did it over phone last year. Easy. This year did it online. As a non techno I did find it a bit confusing. Still not sure if covered for my other medical things. I hope all covered now. A bit worried about Corona Virus if there is coverage or not.

CONs: Convulted logic. WHY do you want personal information BEFORE I can even ask a general question? WHY do you then tell me you can only give general advice AFTER wanting my SPECIFIC details again, & again. Surely these details should not be required until an agreement to purchase is reached.

Policy was good value compared to other companies, easy to apply. This is the first time I have taken travel insurance with Australian Seniors. Would have preferred that High blood pressure/Cholesterol were included in top cover. Most people in our age bracket take medication.

My wife and I are doing a Mediterranean Cruise flying from Brisbane to Italy via AbuDhabi to pick up the cruise. We have two days in Italy in accomodation before boarding the cruise. We return via plane( after the cruise) to Brisbane from Italy via AbuDhabi. My question is, Is my wife and I covered for Air transport, accomodation as well as Cruise in one Policy? Some insurers offer Cruise option but I'm not sure if we are covered for all the things we need to do to get on the boat ? eg Planes travel, accomodation
