Cleans the air well but noisy
Having had this product for about 4 years now I feel I make the following observations:
1) It does a good job of cleaning the air and making the room smell fresh.
2) Its noisy. Irritates me when used in the study and I am working. Even worse, in the bedroom you cannot sleep with the equipment running. Just too noisy.

MY REVIEW: I purchased this Sharp FU-Y30 $335.00 for night time use to purify the air as I sleep. Having Asthma & Allergies to dust and dust mites can be a problem no matter how many times I vacuum. It seems good thus far, I didnt get a cold or flu this winter and wondered if this machine had something to do with it. My Family thought it was a fad I was going through purchasing it, but I did mention to them recently I was the only one in the family who did not get the dreaded flu this Winter. I haven't needed my ventolin puffer like I did in the past also. Seems very quiet at night 24db. There is an ongoing cost with this machine a replacement hepa filter for $80.00 replacement every 2 years is recommended, which I'm ok with. Sharp is a brand I have always trusted so decided to choose their purifier. I am very happy with my unit and highly recommended it.1 comment
