Good machine but pathetic customer service
I've had the machine for quite a few years and I love it - there is no doubt it is one of the best on the market
I'm having a newborn so plan to have all the filters changed before then
Unfortunately the experience had been awful ever since I need to contact them. Mind you all the filters are actually labelled on the side of the purifier so you'd expect you can buy them.

What a difference this machine has made.
Living about a km from the area that has the highest pollen count in Australia, I decided to try another air purifier.
Did have one a few yers ago and that was effective, but died when it was 2 yrs old.
This time I wanted to get the best performince possible so went for a much higher capacity unit.
After much shopping around, decided on the Sharp KCA60JW. It was listed at $899, but because it is on runout paid $600.

The Air Purification system cleans the air using a HEPA and deodorising filtration system, capturing 99.97% of dust particles, as well as releasing Plasmacluster Ions into the air to deactivate any airborne viruses, mould spores, bacteria, odours and static electricity leaving the air clean and fresh. Also, the filters only need cleaning every 30 days when the unit is run 24 hrs a day, they are simple to remove and clean and onlt need replacing every 10 yrs! This is a massive plus! The unit is very quite and easy to sleep with and the humidifying tank needs to be filled with tap water once a day. Noticeably less dust in the air and on surfaces
Have been running this purifier for over a month now there is a notacibly lot less dust floating in the air and on surfaces in our living area. The humidifier has been working quite well and keeping the humidity in a steady range. We do fill it with water up to twice a day but the room it's in is open and possibly a little larger than the suggested room size. I'm not sure how well it removes odours but it does detect them almost immediately. As can be seen on the display. rly dirty after just a couple of weeks. Possibly due to water quality. I have since purchased from Japan a suitable water filter that is made to screw on to the inside of the tank lid. All Sharp humidifiers in Japan have his filter from new. Not sure why we don't have it here in a Australia. If your considering this unit I think you won't find better for the price here in Australia. Purifier and humidifier combos are rare and when found are suited to much smaller areas.1 comment

Great product
Bought this unit from Bing Lee for my daughter who suffers from hay fever and gives us hard time at night/early in the morning, her symptoms have markedly improved, she used to snore and wake up few times but since we bought this unit she would sleep all night long with no dramas at all, has 5 fan speed options, you can use either use the humidifier or just use the air cleaning function, and the plasmacluster ion technology which according to Sharp's website has been adopted by few car makers such as Toyota & Nissan.. there are cheaper products out there but at the end of the day you get what you pay for, filters last for up to 10 years
