The whole process from start to finish was excellent. Building a house is supposed to be stressful, but the experience I had was far from it!

It’s been an year and still trying to resolve the issues having with the quality and workmanship. I have to call them every month to fix the privacy locks. They fix it but the quality is so cheap and it breaks every now and then or the pin doesn’t stay in. I don’t have time to make complains about the same issue over and over so I asked them to replace the locks but they denied. The build had overall good management through good communications, which was timely and of fairly accurate content. Very satisfied with the quality of workmanship and dimensional accuracy.
Issues during construction :
Master bedroom door overlapped the WIR entry cavity. This we felt could have been advised by the design team giving us options to correct or to amend.
Issues post construction :
1) Had a toilet leak within 3 days after moving in, and was very promptly repaired. Great response by Jared to correct this.

My family is still waiting for the PCI from last December with wasting our time and money. The estimated PCI date was before Christmas but since last December the supervisors have replaced 2 times and we needed to wast our time and money. We understand that the private reasons for workers but it seems they don’t have any proper systems for this. Building interstate can be a challenge at best of times however I happy to say that the pre and post sales team at Simonds Home QLD have made my building journey a pleasant experience.
Establishing a good working relationship and setting the correct expectations is key to success for any project and this was quite evident from my dealings with Chris from the sales team. Ok so this is the second time we have built with Simonds and it was a slight improvement from the first time.

First off, the construction is of good quality and can not fault anything with this. Timimg was great as well as our first time building with them. To be honest they might be a great builder if you were building purely for investment and do not need all the nice top end of quality.
