Loved the concept hate the product wish i had my receipts.
I am an avid lover of clip lock but am so dissapointed with the products i have purchased. My water bottle does not stay cold or hot for any amount of time. The containers i have which are many do not seal and i have many problems with weavils and ants. So totally disappointed in this product i have spent so much money on this product and am bitterly disappointed. Who would have thought to hold onto a receipt for something so sought after. Wish i had of my cupboards are full of them. Not a happy shopper
Purchased for $1,000.00.

Leaks like a sieve!
As liquid leaks out of these containers, then obviously air can get in and spoil the food! It should be stated that they are not “airtight” and should not be used to store or transport food. Do not buy this item.

Terrible for storage
The containers work fine but they do not nest inside each other at all and so they take up an excessive amount of space in cupboard/draws. Completely unnecessary, a slight angle on the sides would easily solve this

Rubbish with a capital "R"
If you buy this product, just fill it up with water and turn it upside down and you will find that all the water will leak-out. So if water leaks out then air can get in......they do not not seal.
These products are "ALL SHOW AND NO GO"

Every single one i have leaks!
I thought it was a one off product issue but every sistema box i have has leaked oil all over my bags. Do not purchase these. The Ikea glass ones are better and airtight.

Not fit for purpose- does not seal
I have purchased these brand new to store sugar and flour and other baking things to keep the ants out when stored in the pantry. I have never washed them so they should seal but ants have appeared in my sugar and almond flour. It doesn't matter if they're a great price if they don't do what they're meant to. I cannot recommend these if you need an effective seal on your container.

Glad wrap does a better job!
Stumbled on these half price and bought a heap for my dogs food prep. ABSOLUTE WASTE Of MONEY. Worst, most useless, unusable junk I have ever bought. They leak at the slightest angle and keep nothing fresher than if you just put in the fridge without any cover. I wont even try to pass these on. They will be going straight to landfill (sorry planet). A bowl wrapped in glad wrap does a better job.
Purchased in August 2021 at Woolworths for $48.00.

They look great! What a shame they aren't leak proof!
What a joke. I have to use glad wrap to stop leaking and spoilage. Food will spoil much sooner that it should in a leak proof/airtight storage container. FALSE ADVERTISING!

Sistema microwave 1.25 litres lears, so what's the point?
Bought a microwave 1.25 litre container, put some left over curry in it and went to work intending to have a nice microwaved curry and rice for lunch. Instead, most of the curry sauce ended up in my backpack. Thinking that I had a faulty one I contacted Sistema, and got the following response
"This Sistema 1.25L Microwave Rectangular container has been specifically designed for reheating food in the microwave. However, this is not (nor advertised) 100% airtight or leak-proof."
A couple of points:
1. Neither is advertised that it will leak like a sieve all over your backpack, and
2. What's the point of having a plastic container that is not leak proof?

Wow, true to its word
Not many products do as they say. The Sistema containers are true to their word. There is no spillage from the containers. I have stored beetroot, and. We alll know how messy this can be. I turned the container on it’s side, upside down and even shook the container. They are easy to maintain and wash easily. Love the clear view all around, no murky looking colours.
To date, haven’t had the disadvantage of breakage. As this is made of hard plastic not certain what may happen upon damage vs plastic containers.
Overall, do recommend.

Moulds easily, leaks & holds smell
These containers come in great sizes which are very handy but the plastic itself yellows quickly.
No matter how much I clean them the smell from things still remain, doesn't matter what it is the smell lingers which is annoying as it makes you not want to use them for different food.
I find the seal inside holds water so it starts to mould quickly, you then need to remove the blue rubber to wash & clean inside and re-insert it. They also leak quite easily so be careful if they tip. I would not use them for anything with even a bit of liquid. Dry products only.

Sistema klip it storage - leaks like a sieve
These products leak terribly. The seal fall off - actually it looks like the seal does nothing.
The klipit range is not a suitable product to store food. ok for shoe box
August 2nd 2022 Update: Sistema - no good - dont buy...
Terrible product it leaks like sieve and the seal keeps falling off after a few uses.
I notice they have a new one out called brilliance that they now claim is watertight but you will need a screw driver or a crowbar to remove the lid.... another terrible design.

Not fit for purpose
They don't seal so what's the point? Air gets in and if you tilt them just slightly liquid pour out of the closed lid. Take them back to the retailer and get a refund!

They leak & unsustainable. I never write reviews, but I feel compelled to warn people
All sizes leak huge amounts, even only moist foods leak. Only suitable for completely dry foods, even then dust and fine particles leak from these. Completely unsustainable manufacture. I will never buy again. I hope this review helps you avoid this product range.

Somethings amiss
I have been getting my sistema containers on sale recently but I am finding them to be of mediocre quality lately, where some of the clips are not clipping as tight as they should they usually do, out of about 6 purchases I have had 2 lids that won't clip properly, so they won't be keeping my food fresh.

Not a 'container' in any sense
After using Kmart clip-lock containers to pack my salad lunches for a while, I thought, hey, why not splurge on some fancy Sistemas? Purchased some Sistema 'containers' from Coles for what I thought was a decent price - turns out I had just purchased some glorified plastic bowls.
Packed my lunch none-the-wiser the next day. Excited with my 'new and improved' salad box. My lunch contained tuna which was unfortunately not fully drained. I had previously had no issues with my Kmart containers - they were air-tight, no leaks, presumably made in As...Read more
ia and had gone through multiple runs in the dishwasher without a scratch. First day using Sistema - tuna juice all through my bag, into my laptop and work files. I'm not sure why I even put the lid on? I will be returning to Kmart to purchase some more of their containers. Might use these Sistema's as some garden pots.Purchased in March 2021.

Does not protect contents from ants
Ants get in to these containers at will. I've lost contents on several occasions due to ants getting past the seal. Good for fridge storage only, or for storing something other than food.

Don't say it is as bad as cheap Chinese containers, it is worse
OK. I write this review because my lunch has leaked from their containers and I feel super furious now.
I don't know why this brand has been a while in Coles and Wollies and can proudly boast "Made in New Zealand" as if this equals quality. To some extent, I really hope so. But it turns out to be super disappointing even for our first use: not airtight, not leak proof and not easy to clean (because they are plastic). TBH I've got two other containers made in China from ALDI, they are way better and equally cheap. Next time please don't complain we don't support local products, because you suck.
