Very poor service.
Many times their Couriers don't turn up causing delays in deliveries and as result bad feedback from my customers. Yesterday I was slammed with an invoice saying that my measurements were not correct. I paid it so I can avoid their late penalties!!! My measurement have always been spot on. How about if you Smartsend become more liable and refund customers for the delayed pickups? From now on I will use Australia Post as at least their service is better and is over the counter. Smartsend Never Again!!!

Very Poor Service. They don't turn up.
I booked a parcel on Thursday to be collected on Friday. SmartSend sent an email telling me I had to be there 12-4pm. I was, but no one came. I emailed and they said the courier had been at 11am and no one was home. I was there at 11am, but that was before the collection window anyway. It is also a commercial building, not a home. They had my mobile number, and no one called to check. They rebooked Monday, I waited the whole day, no one. They offered to rebook on Tuesday!!!! There is no one you can call, no recourse. Tuesday without any warning. Carrier had no ID and was in a rental van. Company later called me to check my address- I told them the parcel had already been collected. They then emailed me to say my parcel had been collected. No apology for all the problems until I suggested, then it was a simple "we apologise for the delay in collection, but the goods are now in transit"!3 comments

Can't contact smartsend
Smartsend attempted to deliver my item, didn't leave a card now it's being returned to sender. They have no contact number and can't use hotmail or live email addresses which is all I have. Will never buy from anyone who uses them again

Worst service i have ever received.
Item was for two parcels from Melbourne to SA. items were delivered to SA DEPOT- then one parcel somehow managed to get misdirected to SYD. i then contacted smart send to ensure they would leave item in SA so the customer could collect at 4pm via email, smart send confirmed at 4.. at 6pm item was loaded on truck and sent back to Melbourne.
the worst customer service i have ever experienced. at not one point have the adequately serviced my emails, or the actual delivery of these goods.

Never Showed up to pick up my parcel to send
Pre-booked 28/5/19 to send a parcel and to be picked up on the 29th/5/19 between the hours of 12pm to 4pm. I waited all afternoon and courier never arrived. No phone number to call smart send so only way was a email enquiry. When i made contact they told me the idiot courier came 9.08am and no one was home, umm i suppose he don`t know how to read English, there was a reason why i booked it for in the arvo. They appoligize and ask to re-schedule for the following day, i agree, surely they wont stuff me around 2 days in a row? Well yes you guesse...Read more

lost of hidden charge
we send a parcel to a wrong address for $15, then courier return to us in Feb, but today smartsend issues $20 invoice . Almost everytime we send a wrong address parcels, smartsend will charge even more than the original charge.

Never use Allied Express thru Smart Send
I use Smart Send daily for receiving / sending of goods but every time I nominate Allied Express as carrier
I have a problem have had two pick ups one two weeks ago one 10 days ago from Melbourne to Adelaide
and still have not received my consignments Absolutely hopeless and you are unable to talk to anyone has to be done by email Smart Send should take Allied Express of their carrier list It is a joke when using allied express thru Smart Send

Fantastic Customer Service!
The regional agents were not always reliable but SmartSend dealt with them and provided excellent email communication. I organised a surfboard delivered to Far South NSW from Gold Coast and it arrived safe and sound. In the past with other couriers I have had boards wrecked. I will use SmartSend again and I recommend wholeheartedly.

Appalling destruction of goods
Heavily packed delivery into a PVC tube, destroyed by forklift forks through the tube, gross negligence and no care from anyone in the company or their third party couriers. A second delivery in the same week vanished for 6 days and reappeared after the sender and receiver both had to chase it. Never use this company

THEY DID NOT SHOW UP FOR PICK UP! After TWO DAYS OF WAITING and emailing I ended up cancelling! USE A DIFFERENT COURIER!
Twice now I have had bad experiences with Smartsend. I had a pick up booked, waited home all day, did not show up. No phone number to contact them so I had to email, and they said I had to wait until the next day for pick up. Second day, promised morning pick up, did not show up again! Another time my parcel was "lost" in one of their warehouses for a week and no-one could find it, it ended up taking two weeks to deliver from Sydney to Newcastle. They are cheap but not worth the headache, I will never use them again, and recommend Pack & Send for peace of mind.

Poor customer service & unreliable
Booked a consignment which wasn’t picked up. Rebooked and not picked up again. Unable to contact them as they don’t have a phone number. Asked for a representative to contact me which was the next day (so now three days later) offering to rebook again and no explanation why it wasn’t picked up. Finally picked up and I asked for a refund on the freight cost which was refused stating pick up tines are an estimate only. Happy to take your money but terrible holding up their end of service.

Beware! Fraudulent scammers. Not so smart.
Booked and paid for a package to be shipped to QLD from NSW on Monday. They never showed up. Re-booked to have the parcel collected Tuesday. Again no show. It's now Thursday and 'Smart Send' do not have a contact phone number, only an email in which I get the generic response of 'We are looking into it's and 'We will have someone contact you' and it hasn't happened.
My customer has now cancelled the order because of this time delay in getting to them and this has cost me a lost sale over $100 and a scammed $32 for postage. I've contacted the ACCC and am forwarding them the proof now.

Was returned customer but never again
Left a very positive review previously, but last courier SSD001163001, a sink was broken on delivery, asked for insurance claim then was told Smartsend can't list all items in black and white.

I believe sink is different from a ceramic basin, smart send has used all the excuses on not progress with their insurance and still asking their customers to pay for insurance when you check out.

Very poor customer service. Do not use
We have used this company numerous times hoping their service would improve but each time we are disappointed. Our last pick up included the driver stealing a package delivered to us by Aust Post. We provided pictures and description but the item was never returned. I understand it is the courier company also at fault but the customer service side from Smart Send is as bad so we wont use them anymore as we cannot guarantee a service to our customers who we value and Smart Send obviously don't value theirs.

Dreadful service
Pickup was a day late, delivery two days late. Two days taken off work wasted. Zero apologies, zero accountability. They hide behind an email address, they wont speak to you. Plenty of alternatives, do not waste your time.

My package had a 1 day delay in being picked up. While the company employees can help, they can only help upto a certain point. The courier service that they book is now in charge of the collection. Initially we were annoyed that it wasn't picked up but 'Couriers Please' eventually turned up the day after and delivered the package. The main issue is that you can't pick which courier service to send through. They allocate you the courier after you book. If I could pick which service to send through, I would have been happier ... but, for the price I booked, I was happy with smart send as a whole. Not sure about their customer service tho.
