Brand not meeting expectations.
This is one of the brands that does not live up to your expectations. It does not dry properly, problems with soap tablets but most disappointed with the machine breaking down in less than 3 years. Customer service is efficient but I wish I don't have to call so soon. Check other products before buying this brand/product.

Love this machine
I purchased my machine from Harvey Norman and at first, could not get it to complete the cycles. Called SMEG, who were amazing. Best customer service I have experienced for years. So impressed. The serviceman came out and checked it over. Working perfectly now. Boy compared to my former Miele, Smeg is far the better choice. So important to know your product has the professional backup and best practice service available. I am so appreciative of the whole company's commitment to looking after their customers. Could not be happier.

So disappointed
OK. Brand new dishwasher. First cycle the powder dispenser opens but leaves the powder inside now as a solid lump. The dishwasher is SO wet inside that you can't stop water droplets falling all over the dishes. Rinse aid was used - since this is always asked. Smeg support tells me its because of the steam and you need to open the dishwasher after its finished to let it escape!! Really!! So stand there at 2am because your dishwasher has a design flaw. As for the powder, I am told the top spray arm has been blocked somehow from getting to the powder? With what? The breakfast bowls along the front rack? Or your cutlery tray? Or the handle of the rack itself? Another design flaw perhaps?
Purchased in June 2021.

ay of the spray arm when I know there wasn't unless its the rack handle itself.Update. After 3 failed wash loads the machine decided to work :\ Have no idea why as nothing had changed, not even the program selected. I did remove the cutlery basket from the bottom shelf and only ... Read more
used the very top tray as wondered if it was blocking the water from the powder dispenser but that does not account for the fact the machine is no longer soaked. It has now gone through 4 loads without incident. Smeg had certainly been on to it after I posted this review, I wish they had taken interest before hand and not brushed it off at service.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great clean. Very happy so far.
Purchased this dishwasher almost four weeks ago and we love it. Very quiet and does a great clean. No issues with drying the dishes and is much more eco friendly than our previous dishwasher with fan operated drying system. Particularly useful is the ability to move the lower rack cutlery basket and the upper cutlery tray is an unexpected plus. Very impressed so far.
We do have a minor issue, however, which occurred a couple of days ago. After the wash cycle has finished the unit switches itself off as normal, however, won't switch on ag...Read more

Had my dishwasher for 8 months.
Have kept the strainer clean, however there is a build up of residue on the tracks and top corners of the door.
What is causes this?

I don’t care what dishwasher it is I always quickly rinse my plates and all other dishes even when I had a Asea top of the line dishwasher. I also wipe down the inside of the doors on a regular basis and the dishwasher has to be washed out with a dish washer cleaner every 2 months. I also wash on the second hot wash and only wash when it is full . I think if you follow this you will always have a clean dishwasher, all dishwashers have to have regular maintenance. When I moved into this new house the dishwasher was so full of fat I had to throw it out and the guy who lived here was a chef, I thought he would have known better. Good luck I think you will be fine now.
I wonder if it was hard water scale. I note this dishwasher doesn't take salt (I wish I had known that first) and that may be why.

Hi Wendy. You do not need to use salt in the dishwashers in Australia, it is more so in European Countries. We would suggest that you check the sprayer arms are not blocked and follow what Chinaplate1954 has suggested as a regular routine. If you wish to discuss further, please do not hesitate to contact Smeg Australia direct to discuss. Kind Regards, Smeg Australia.

I not sure what this could mean. Either check the manuel or call service line.
Dear Sue,
If error 1 is flashing, it means the anti flood switch has been tripped, indicating that there is water leaking from somewhere and requires a service technician. Please contact our Service Department on 02 8667 4833 to arrange service.

The DWA6314W dishwasher was just delivered but when we went to install it the door would not open more than an inch. Any advice welcome?

Hi AMW pull the door hard to open it, if it does not open please call Smeg service on 02 8667 4833, if it does open on top in the center of the door there is a latch with a screw driver slot turn the screw in half a turn it should fix the problem.
