I got my Smeg 4 slice toaster through flybuys last year and I can’t find the paper work for it but it would be lucky to be 12 months old.I love the look of it and how it cooks my toast but now it just stopped working and you can’t push the bread down in it without it cutting my power off all the time.For an expensive toaster I thought it would of lasted longer.I have been in touch with smeg and they have sent me a replacement toaster without any hassle.I can’t thank them enough

Sadly it fails at doing its core function....toasting (“You had one job!”). Toast comes out uneven, burnt on one side/barely toasted on the other, edges equally as uneven. This is regardless of how you position the slice in the toaster.

I absolutely adore my SMEG oven so I was keen to get my hands on the kettle and toaster. After only purchasing the toaster in May, one side of the toast comes up perfect while the other is barely touched. I now toast in my SMEG oven rather than the actual toaster. Disappointing after such a positive experience with many other products from this premium range.

Though the quality isn’t overly great the style is so nice and is the only toaster I actually like the look of, stainless steel doesn’t get too dirty either. And the functions are really easy to use and have a nice shade of light, toast comes out good also.

I bought the Pastel blue 4 slice toaster and kettle just over 2 years ago. The toaster keeps sparking and causing the circuit to switch off. The paint on the kettle has bubbled and split causing it to peel. I have had no problems with evenness of toasting.
I paid extra because they are such an attractive design but am a little disappointed they haven't lasted any longer than a much cheaper brand would.

I purchased this toaster just over a year ago and was attracted to the vintage look. It is absolutely terrible to use. Have to set toaster to a 1 as any higher setting burns the toast. I wish Smeg products would be of a higher standard as I would have liked to purchase the fridge too. I would not purchase Smeg in the future as I have read nothing but poor reviews.

Terrible toaster. Just 2 years of infrequent using. It stopped to working. It looks nice but unevenly cooked toasts and stopped to work at all. Unfortunately have to buy the same as all our small appliances in our kitchen of this design and color. We are very disappointed about luxury Italian brand.

We purchased this toaster mainly because of the brand name and design. After 5 months the toaster stopped working. David Jones replaced it, but now the warranty on the second toaster has runout by 4 months and it has stopped working. Never ever had a product this bad .We are now using our old ( 10 year old sunbeam) toaster.

This toaster looks very nice, but it gradually started cooking unevenly and now after a year one side of the element has stopped working altogether. It iwas disappointing because I have had many SMEG appliances which have been extremely reliable.

After I raised this problem, SMEG customer service got back to me the same day and delivered a replacement toaster, under warranty, within a few days. They were responsive and efficient

Wrote a review about kettle also which is terrible quality. Expect better from Smeg. Toaster had to be returned 10 months later with little use as the lever would not stay down so had to hold it down to toast. Also toast pops up so dramatically my bread always goes flying out... not ideal. How is it so easy to mess up a toaster when your paying $300... go to Kmart instead.

After loving the SMEG kettle, I purchased the matching white 4 slice toaster. Omg! I love it. I love the style.. so chic. Looks amazing in my kitchen.
The bagel function is the best! The bagel is defrosted perfectly. Doesn't get stuck in the toaster.
The only thing I noticed is that if you put a thin slice of bread, the toast flys out of the toaster! Can be bit annoyed.
I Still love this toaster and totally recommend it.

It only toast on one side the outer part of the toaster. Inside does not get hot. I just returned one and waited 2 weeks for the new one. Old one was less than 2 months old and never worked. I already sent an email to you. I love all the other Smeg Items I own . But this one???

I purchased the Smeg toaster presuming for the price it would toast perfectly. It has only ever toasted one side, you have to turn it around during toasting to get it even. I think for the price you would expect it to be perfect every time. I have bought cheaper brands before and have had more success.
