Rubbish, cheap and not compatible with the Sodastream gas bottles.
Do not try with Sodastream gas bottles. The valve is slightly different. Even with Soda King gas bottles the results are inconsistent. Very disappointing product and basically a waste of time and money.

Great Machine
Excellent device and easy to use. Easy to follow instructions too and that's saying something coming from me, a dumb blonde. I highly recommend the unit and it's 100% Australian.

Excellent customer service
When I got home with my new purchase I realised that someone had previously opened the box and had taken some parts. I sent an email to SodaKing and received a phone call the next day. My missing items were shipped out to me straight away. Great customer service. Thank you.

Love my soda king machine
I was tired of buying in the water every single day and thought that I would try the machine to make my own.
It has saved me money and is very easy to use.
I like that it is easy to change the bottles and the flavour to the water. There are lots of different flavours available so you always have one to suit everybody.

Beyond hopeless
1. Useless instructions, if one follows the instruction to the letter then it is impossible to produce soda water..
2. The key missing instruction is as follows:
Press button until the release value fires, wait 3 seconds.
2. It takes between 1 and 3 cycles of the above to produce soda-water.
3. If water runs all over your bench, then your unit has a missing rubber ring..
There is a "spare" supplied in a plastic bag, but no instructions what it is for or how to fit it..
After 3 days and an empty gas bottle, and 15 discussions with sodaking support, I have a bottle of soda-water..
The most bizarre product experience I have ever had..

Consistent leakage from half full gas bottles
For the fifth time now, possibly more times that I may have missed, the C02 gas bottles have started to leak, when half empty. Faulty valves.
I had contacted SodaKing about this prior, via twitter, and email, yet received no reply.
Seems others are having this same issue with leaking C02 bottles.
One time, a nearly full bottle, totally discharges it self in a few seconds, to complete empty.
I am going to change to a different brand now. Not wasting anymore money on self emptying bottles.

Good product but no backup service
Bought the product at Aldi. I was told the Sodastream cylinder would fit when I needed a new one. It doesn't. Went into Aldi no care factor told to bring it back for a refund or ring customer service. I did Google and found the newsagency on the next block has refills. If Aldi had been able to tell me this I would have thought the customer service was great. They need to know where back up products are located.

Soda King bottles.
One star or no review possible! Your soda bottles are crap, there’s no fizz after using half the bottle of fizzy water! Total waste of money! Only a couple of months old! You certainly get what you pay for! Back to the Sodastream bottles, bit dearer but worth it!

Rubbish
This product broke within three uses, the same day we brought it! Completely rubbish and so disappointing, the gas leaked into our drinks leaving a toxic taste in our mouths and it put a hole in our roof when it EXPLODED.. Perhaps our was faulty, either way a dangerous and poorly built product.... i recommend the real soda stream!

Soda King - really is a soda king!! Much cheaper than the competitors brand price and just as good. Refill bottles are cheaper as well. I have found many outlets who refill nearby too. Very handy.

I don't like this product
I purchased this product to save me carrying heavy bottles of soda water from the supermarket. I read and followed the directions, I found the first bottle of soda water to be almost flat so I decided to make another. This time I pressed the button twice holding for one second and waiting a second between depressions. After 3 seconds I started to unscrew the bottle, the bottle shot out of my hand and flew across the kitchen with great force. I am only pleased my baby grandaughter was not beside me at the time. I will be returning this to place of purchase today as I feel it is dangerous and I am too afraid to use it again.

This is an inexpensive sparkling water maker that works
I recently had a very bad experience with the major supplier of this type of appliance - SodaStream. I wrote a review of it. I discovered that there is a small alternative Australian manufacturer that uses the same gas cylinder - namely SodaKing. I bought the "Spark" model at Big W and have just filled my second bottle. It is a bit different to the SodaStream that I first acquired, in that the bottle screws in, but at least that ensures a decent pressure seal. It is also different in that it has a clearly audible pressure release that ensures y...Read more
ou do not over-fill. In fact the recommendation is to fill until you hear the release valve work. So far I am very happy with my SodaKing purchase. It cost $40 less than the product I had to return to the retailer it was bought from. Despite being cheaper it does not look any cheaper. And it works flawlessly.Similar opinion? How do you fit the replacement rubber ring?
1 answer
I just turned the machine upside down and dropped the ring down into the hole where the cylinder screws in. Then I used the cylinder, screwing it in, to seat the ring in the right place. If you get water coming out of the unit when you use it then the ring is not fitted correctly.

I haven't used our yet. With these mixed reviews I am not sure whether to keep it or return it.

Are SodaStream and soda King interchangeable with the gas cylinders
2 answers
Yes they are interchangeable in the machine but you can not exchange a SodaKing cylinder for a Sodastrem cylinder or visa-versa at the cylinder exchange place. .
