The soundbar I never knew I missed
I'm a great fan of Sonos products and have a few of their speakers. I was looking at the soundbar for a while already and during Christmas Amazon had an amazing deal that I couldn't resist...... and didn't.
I'm glad I bought it, it is absolutely amazing. The sound quality is phenomenal, movies did never sound anywhere near this impressive and that's with just the Playbase itself, when linked to the sub (another gem in the Sonos catalogue) it gets even more awe inspiring. kably simple, this as "plug and play" as it gets, 2 minutes after the box is opened the Playbase works. What I think is a great feature is that the Playbase (that is connected to our TV via an optic fibre cable) switches on as soon as the TV is switched on. No need to switch it on and off separately and choose all sorts of settings on the TV first or use all sorts of confusing apps on a mobile phone that's always somewhere else, switch on the TV and it just works (why can't Foxtel or any manufacturer of DVD players not do the same, it is so simple but soooooo handy). The sound quality of the Playbase when used to just play music is also very good, there is enough base (impressive for the size of the thing), the sound is also very clear and detailed. as mentioned above, I have a number of Sonos speakers and in my opinion if you only have space / money to get one of their speakers, get this one as this will do it all and really well. One minor downside of the Sonos system is that you need a stable wifi and internet connection and it becomes glitchy when the internet connection is not so good. What I did notice is that if the Playbase is in your system and is hardwired to the modem the connection seems to become a lot more reliable and when resetting the modem it finds all the Sonos speakers a lot quicker (this is noticeably a lot more than when for instance a play 5 is hardwired into the modem). Amazing
The depth of base and clarity of sound for sports is ridiculously good, i recently paired this with two Sonos One's for surround sound and its absolutely incredible, highly recommended.
Purchased in May 2021 at Klapp Audio Visual for A$799.00.

One of my favourite purchases
This product is an absolute dream. Easy to use, right from the opening of the box. Set up is so easy and the sound is so good, I don’t think I’ll need a subwoofer. Absolutely highly recommend it

Not only Great Sound but exceptional Service
I have had a Sonos Playbase for 11 months which I developed into a surround system over three months. The setup was easy and the sound fantastic.
The week before Easter I had issues with speaker connectivity and on Easter Saturday sat down and unpaired and tried to establish new room. No success and then through help desk contact was diagnosed with a faulty Playbase. We will email you and it will be replaced.
Sounded to good to be true! Phone contact on the Tuesday confirmed it to be fact and even with the ANZAC Day public holiday in the mix within 9 days I was the happy listener to a full surround sound system having a new Playbase delivered to my door.

Love my Playbase!
I’ve owned my Playbase for six months now and love the simplicity and amazing sound quality. The speaker integrates seamlessly with my TV, allowing me to use my TV remote to control the volume. The Sonos app is stable, easy to use and integrates wonderfully with Spotify, my iPhone’s music collection.
